I have never been a huge fan of David's Bridal, but after a few appointments at other places with no luck I decided to try it. The appointment started out great and our associate grabbed the dresses that I wanted (I had printed out pictures). After about an hour of trying on dresses I was a bit overwhelmed (my fault, but buying a dress is a big decision) and got dressed to go look at dresses myself. I went and walked around and picked some dresses while my bridesmaids looked for dresses for themselves. After returning to the fitting room area my girls started trying on dresses. Most were dirty or zippers didn't work. One of the dresses even had a huge stain around the breast area. As the girls were trying on dresses, the associate kept telling me that I just needed to relax. None of the dresses that we picked had worked, so we went back out to look at bridesmaids dresses. While we were out there, the associate told me if I wanted to try on my other dresses I needed to do it now because my appointment was almost over. I informed her that I had another hour of time because I had scheduled two back to back appointments. She went to double check and when she came back, she said that was correct. At this point I asked if she could pull some dresses for us because we weren't finding anything. The associate told me no, that she did not want to pull anything because we were "too picky". At this point I was not happy. I tried on the few dresses I had picked and then left. I went to another store in the area where I was given excellent customer service and not told no when asked for help or that I was too picky. I definitely will not be back to this location. The only reason I gave two stars was due to the variety of bridal dresses that they had. read more

I just had my appointment today to be "fitted"for a bridesmaid dress today. What fitting? The style and color were already determined by the bride -all that was left was determining the right size and ordering and paying. The ordering and paying were easy, but who knows if it was the right size. The dress I tried on wasn't even close to fitting - so then the fitting consisted of no measuring; no looking at a size guide; no trying on a similar dress from the same manufacturer; no ability to order 2 dreeses of 2different sizes and returning one -just me guessing at what size I might need with a no refund policy and waiting 2 months to find out if I maybe guessed right. read more

My friend is planning her wedding and went to a David's Bridal in CA where we live and found the perfect dress immediately. It was the only gown of that type left but in the wrong size. They contacted this store in Orlando, FL and they had the size she needed. After calling the store directly and having a great customer service experience over the phone, she was told her dress would ship no later than the following Wednesday, which would have been 6 business days. Now, it is 2 weeks later, having not received the dress, she called the store to inquire about the delivery. I am sitting in the room with her listening to the conversation and the lack of customer service myself. Not only was there no apology for the delayed shipping, but many excuses. Yes, there has been bad weather, noted, however, no explanation, no prior notification and absolutely nothing over and above that would indicate their concern for her delay. Keep in mind: this is a BRIDE! Nothing is more nerve wracking for a bride-to-be then something happening to the bridal gown she loves! She has since contacted the District Manager to express her dissatisfaction, we will see what the result may be. Due to this experience, the lack of customer service and the almost 'dismissed' attitude she received over the phone, I would say: this is not the store for you !! One of my g/f's is getting married. She had set up an appointment on a Friday which was probably the best idea she's ever had. (lol) The service was incredible. The representative that was working with her was extremely patient. Guess ya have to be with all these bridezilla's coming their way. She tried on many, and I mean many different dresses and actually found one she loved. The price was perfect; the fit was perfect minimal alterations will be needed. They do have in-house financing more of a layaway plan which was helpful in her case. They do try to get you on the extras, though. Special bra, veil etc.. In all I thought it was a great experience with my friend, she was happy with her choices. The sales woman did a fantastic job. If you are out looking for a wedding gown, give them a try. I didn't have an appointment, came in looking for a dress for a very elegant wedding and was seen quickly and was paired with Cassie. She was a gem and helped me pick out a bunch of dresses and dealt with me texting my husband back and forth about what he liked on me too (always need a second opinion). She was so kind and helpful. I'm not really sure what brides are expecting when they go into a mass retailer, akin to going to a big department store at a mall. These aren't $5,000 couture dresses at a little boutique that maybe sees 3 brides a day. In addition, weekends are their biggest and busiest days. The girl who answered the phone and scheduled my appointment explained that to me in advance, so I knew what I was up against. She also explained that some times the saleswomen are assisting more than one bride at a time. I still went ahead and booked an appointment on Sunday. My saleswoman was very efficient, kind and most importantly - objective and helpful. She was willing to pull whatever gowns I wanted and make suggestions as well. Unlike the other bridal salons in the area, I was not rushed at all. She didn't time me, and offered even more gowns than I had initially planned on trying on. As a bride who went to every possible bridal salon in the Orlando area, David's by far had the best selection and best quality for the price. They also don't rush you along, like smaller boutiques that don't want you there for more than an hour. I got everything done in one go without having to come back time and time again. They had a very reasonable size selection as well, compared to other bridal shops that may only have one dress in the particular style you're considering. Even though she was busy, my saleswoman was always right outside my door when I needed her. I was impressed with how well she budgeted her time. If you want a shop full of saleswomen to cater to you, this isn't going to be the place for you. If you like to take your time, let your friends and family shop around, get suggestions as well as whatever gowns you like, then David's is the place. It was both my fiancé's and my second marriage. We were looking for something really special. My fiancé and I had scoured the magazines and other bridal shops and kept coming up empty. We were out shopping at Millennia and decided to give David'a bridal a shot. We were greeted by Tia and instantly felt like they actually gave a **it about us being there and not just making the commission. We were soon greeted by Brandi who took us into the next step of finding the perfect dress. Her knowledge and intuition was absolutely incredible. We NEVER felt pressured or forced in any way, thank God. She found some things we never thought of, but absolutely fell in love with! Needless to say, we left David's with a dress and such an amazing feeling of accomplishment!! DO NOT GO THERE. This was my very first time stepping into a bridal store and I honestly expected better. I went in with my mom and bestfriend over excited because I was about to make my dream a reality! ROSE ( customer representative) was the first person that greeted us. I asked if I needed an appointment and she stated NO. I was told to sign in and my stylist will be right with me. We waited for about 20 minutes and no one came to help so I went back to Rose and ask to see the ball grown wedding dresses. Rose told me that I have to go through all of the dresses in the store because she doesn't know exactly where to look. I asked about the stylist that was suppose to help me and she said she will be right out. 15 minutes later another customer rep came to me and ask if I'm being helped and I told her I'm waiting for the stylist. The rep said I can help you but I'm SHADOWING ROSE so I'm not sure what to do it's my 2nd day. ROSE is no where to be found and at that point I'm annoyed. I went back to the front and asked to speak with the manager where I found ROSE and her coworkers who are also standing at the front entertaining each with personal stories. Another Rep came up and ask why do I want to speak with a manager ( she was very rude and disrespectful). They were all wearing name tags but I couldn't make out hers. I asked the rep for her name and she cover her tag with her hand, stuck her teeth and walk to the back. Whoever is running that business needs to do something about the staff that is employed there, because they made what was suppose to be an emotional, joy filled, unforgettable experience a total disappointment. I went to David's this weekend in hopes of exchanging the dress I purchased a few months ago. I was very concerned with the process as I know David's has a no return policy, but Tia the manager and Elizabeth the coordinator were absolutely amazing. Tia made the exception for me to exchange my dress for another one with no issues and made the process so easy. Elizabeth was beyond perfect. She was attentive and helped me every step of the way to find the dress of my dreams! She was helping another bride at the same time, and I couldn't even tell. She was constantly bringing more dresses, and even pinned my hair up to see how the veil would look! If I could give 100/10 I would! Highly recommend, and definitely request Elizabeth! I attended my friend's first bridal fitting at David's Bridal this past week. As this was her first EVER bridal fitting we were all very excited for her to experience trying on wedding dresses for her special day. Unfortunately, the experience that was provided was disappointing; the dress selection was great - but the consultant was not. For the first dress, she was very helpful and asked my friend how she could improve her impression of the dress, etc. For every dress after that, not so much. The two dresses she grabbed that weren't on my friend's profile were unflattering and plain, and she made no suggestions on styles, improvements, or any overall ideas besides adding a veil (that didn't match). As I mentioned, this was my friend's first appointment and she was looking for advice and inspiration. I don't think that our expectations were too high considering that the consultant working next to us was doing exactly what we had been looking for. Our consultant's lack of enthusiasm was offputting. Trying on wedding dresses is such an important event for a newly engaged woman and we feel like this experience was soured by a consultant who wasn't exemplifying what the wedding industry should be to new brides. read more

Honestly, if I could give this place zero stars I would. I came in with my cousin (the bride) for her first dress shopping experience with an appointment. We were told to look around and the stylist would find us. 20 minutes went by and no one came to help. Finally I went and asked and they asked if we had an appointment.. like seriously? Ari, our stylist, finally came and I would've rather done the whole experience alone. She was yawning the whole time, looked uninterested, and kept talking about how tired she was and how this was her 4th fitting where the bride didn't know what she wanted, and it made it harder for her. During the fitting she would sit down with her feet on the chairs, as my cousin was trying dresses She was also just making inappropriate comments that my cousin (the bride) was taking too long. My journey as a brides maid started at the davids bridal in Altamonte springs ( horrible ) we were told to look at the dresses and pick out which ones we want, meanwhile another consultant told us to put all the dresses back until our appointment.(Which was already 10 mins ago) ..... all the employees there looked at us like we didn't belong there. We quickly tried on some dresses and darted out the door, never wanting to step foot in a davids bridal again. Until a couple days ago when I decided on my own to try out Davids bridal over in Millenia!! Complete 180 !!!! Right when I stepped through the door I was automatically greeted with smiles, and when I was introduced to my dress consultant I was very pleased !!!!! The sweetest, most understanding, patient consultant. Amii Griffin!!!She took the time to ask me questions about the wedding I was attending so that she could get ideas. Asked me what style I would prefer and she would try her best to get that for me. After trying on 3 different dresses I found the one that fit me perfect. Thank god for such a pleasant experience. Being a young bride I was hoping for a completely different atmosphere walking in with my best friend. But instead we got nothing but attitude, harsh looks, and comments/questions asking where my mother was and maybe I should come back when she can come with me. Any question we asked, the lady would respond with a rude attitude and not even answer our questions. I find it absurd that their return policy for in-store purchase is the same as online purchase. David's bridal has a 7-day return policy from day of purchase which is completely acceptable for an in-store purchase as customers have the option to try your dress either at the store or the convenience of your home. However, how could you expect a future bride to order a dress online since the size needed was not available in store when arrival dates are over a 7-day period window? It is a complete catch for brides to find themselves stuck with a store credit and force themselves to purchase. Why am I writing this review? I purchased dress on 4/16/2021 ONLINE at the Millenia Mall in Orlando, FL location without knowing if a size 4 fitted as all they had was a size 10. I had tried a size 6 at the Altamonte Springs location and it was too big. I was told on 4/16/2021 dress would not arrive until 5/04/2021 which is 19 days for me to try and see if a size 4 fits. Automatically as a customer am screwed as 7-day window ended and I am stuck with a store credit without even trying the dress. Policies are made to keep order and uniformity among an organization, but David's Bridal really needs to re-evaluate their online purchase return policy if you cannot even work on having a shipment arrive within the 7-day return window for a customer to be able to return if desired. okay so my first time here was great (hence the second star). The woman helping me was very sweet and helped me find my dream wedding dress. However, I came back here with my mom to pick the dress up and the woman helping that day was horrible. I tried the dress on and it was stiff and much smaller than the size we had just ordered (which I've heard can happen sometimes with dresses that aren't in stock in stores). But instead of saying something like that, or even just offering a helpful solution the woman helping me told me that I must have gained alot of weight and thats why the dress doesnt fit. Then, as if that wasnt bad enough, she took me out in front of other guests and started to take my measurements and making rude comments and faces at me throughout the process. She then told me that whoever measured me before was wrong and very loudly announced "I don't know what happened but you are definitely not a size 8, youre going to need a bigger size". i know my sizing, but regardless she should not have handled it that way. i was so embarrassed that we changed our order and had the dress shipped to the Gainesville location, which was so much nicer. i was in tears and felt so terrible after this experience. David's employees are usually very professional and nice but I would not recommend this location. read more

My bride to be just had a pretty rough experience at this location. After she drove an hour to the shop to her 10:30a appointment, she waited 35 minutes and was never helped and even spoken to even twice. Clearly this location can either not schedule appointments properly (overbook) or they were short staffed, either way, she was offered no explanation. This was certainly not the etiquette she expected for what should be such a happy event. When I talked to Trisha (sp?) the store manager, she invited her back on a not-so-busy day. Unfortunately Saturday and Sunday are all busy, which is why she made the appointment in the first place. Rated one-star because zero isn't an option and based on the customer service. read more

Wow what an awful experience. First time dress shopping. And the consultant Carolyn and staff couldn't be more rude or embarrassing. I wanted to run out of the shop. It was my first time so I wasn't very sure what I wanted exactly but the consultant was no help and after the appointment time was over they literally kicked me out and didn't even let me try on one more dress that I was really excited about trying on. And the manager said if I wasn't buying anything I should just leave. Let me start by saying I am glad this location has the staff it does!!! I wish I came here first and just worked with these ladies because they are really good at making me feel important and that I'm not just ANOTHER bride they can sell dresses to. Thank you so much Tia for acknowledging that I am not a bridezilla and I do make valid points with my concerns. YES! someone who lets me talk, after the stress I had to vent and she let me. Tia is the manager that came to the phone and helped me figure out what's going on with my bridesmaid dresses and now I think I can fairly say we are even friends. I have been dealing with several Davids bridal locations, since I have several bridesmaids coming from 4 different states- new jersey, new york, california, and North Carolina. The kind of nightmare it's been just getting the bridesmaids dresses situated, turned me off to the idea of buying my wedding gown with Davids bridal- until my conversations with Tia. She never made me feel like I screwed up ordering my dresses like the other places. Like it was my fault I don't know when and where they will come from. A week ago when we spoke, she said for me to come in. She made sure my appointment was on the day she was working and introduced me to my stylist Rachel. She was the best unexpected surprise by far, because I now have my wedding gown and it's as perfect as I described it, we tried many different ones but they found it and it's absolutely beautiful. This location seemed so busy but they made sure I was part of the action. You have no idea how grateful I am to you both. Thank you for giving me the "I'm getting married" feeling. I'm not sure who's idea ( in corporate or at the store level) it is to give the consultants two appointments at the same time, but it makes for an awful experience on the shopper side...I went in on a weekend afternoon with an appointment looking for a bridesmaid dress. I told the consultant what color and when I needed it by. She pulled me a few and the dress I liked the most would not be available until 10 days before the wedding. I think the young lady was distracted by the bridal sale she had, which she did make so good for her. Kind of frustrating for me though. read more

I made an appointment at this store just to try on dresses after a horrible experience at another bridal boutique. My stylist was Elisabeth and she was absolutely amazing! We had a brief conversation about what I liked and she used the online questionnaire that I completed prior to the appointment to get the nitty gritty stuff such as price point and size. She pushed me out of my comfort zone by having me try on a ball gown. We all got a good laugh and then she brought out the perfect dress! She picked out dresses that were beautiful, in my price point and in line with what I was looking for. Unfortunately due to the current Corona Virus precautions, we were required to wear masks and I was able to bring all of the close friends but the team there felt like family! Maorialba, Alexa, Tia and Donna were all my personal pep squad! They worked together to find the perfect accessories to really make me feel beautiful and they provided honest feedback after reading my body language. Mekenna was super helpful and made the process seamless, relaxed, and fun! The store wasn't crazy since it was a weekday at 1:30pm which was nice! The intro section had all the styles and I was able to say which ones from that not overwhelming selection I liked for trying on. It certainly helped that I came in after perusing the site with a budget and a list of my favorite options based on pictures alone. So I went to Davids Bridal because my wedding is going to be soon! And they have variety to choose. I arrive that day and I remembered Melissa was awesome with me, but they said that my dress will be send to Chicago, so I can have it alter within a week for my wedding, and it was the Monday before my wedding and the dress was still in Florida. I called 4 times and 3 of them they hung up on me, I talked I wanted to talk with manager Tia Smith who was the one who helped me paying and they put someone else on the phone. Until I told them I was mad and tired and I need an answer. So Tia called me back saying someone can pick it up in Florida and bring it to me which was crazy idea! And I finally asked for a refund on the dress since either way we were stopping the shipment. So it still 3 days after that and no refund on my account! Gonna keep calling to see if they finally did it! Apparently I need to be calling everyday! It's really sad because that day I have to go over Other David's here in Chicago. And I was clear with them asking many times is it going to arrive on time? Are you sure? If I would knew that from the beginning wouldn't do it that way. Hopefully I get my money back and no one ever have to go over this situation because ITS terrible having no dress 4 days away from your wedding! My daughter came in to look at wedding dresses about a month ago on a Saturday. We were told it would be about 1 1/2 hours before we could meet with someone and try on any dresses. We were hesitant to wait because things like this always take longer normally and we were already disappointed at a local outlet store by their personnel. Well this was not the case at all!!!! Within 20 minutes we were told that they were ready for her and this is when we met Gianna!!! It was a hurry up- you can try 5 on and then move on because there are others waiting and we had an appointment. We left here and went to Lily Bridal on Colonial Dr and it was a complete different experience. Where do I even begin...... So I show up there and I have an appointment for myself the bride & then immediately after an appointment for my bridesmaids . So I try on a few dresses and find "the one" of course the dress is too large so I am "clipped" into the dress. The woman never takes any measurements on me which I thought was weird but hey this isn't my forte. I am 5'9. We also discussed ordering me a size 16 dress. I get my dress in and it is a 14.... I fit into LUCKILY (didn't think to really look at the length of the dress or think about how it would be with my wedding shoes I had already purchased) ..... I hang the dress in a closet until 7 weeks prior to my wedding when I go to the David's here in Louisiana to get the bustle put in. MY DRESS IS TOO SHORT TO WEAR ANYTHING BUT FLAT SANDALS!!!! So I contact corporate and they will give me 50% off of some 30$ flat sandals.... is this real life???? The fact I had already purchased expensive shoes to walk down the aisle in and now I can't wear my dream shoes. They ruined two of my bridesmaids dresses as well... My Matron of Honor is my height and when she tried on her dress she asked the woman with high heels on would her dress be long enough... the woman never measures her. The dress comes in and my matron of honor has to purchase ANOTHER pair of shoes because she does not want to look like she is waiting for a flood standing next to me . My other bridesmaid is close to 6 feet and they told her she needed to order a long... Ok so she is a size 6 and needed a long. It took almost 4 months for the dress to come in ok great. When she received her dress it was way too large in the entire dress. I don't understand if she ordered a 6 long why the entire dress is too large. The length is fine but she could almost fit another human in the dress with her. They won't even cover the alterations for her dress. THIS IS INSANITY. I am blown away at the way they handled the entire situation like 50% off of $30 shoes is like a slap in the face. No reimbursement for part of my dress or the shoes I bought, or even offering to comp my $50 bustle. I have several friends who just got engaged and I have shared my experience with them. DO NOT GO TO DAVID'S! Also making an appointment is useless. The woman was working with me and another bridal party at the same time... I hope the other bridal party that everything was perfect for them, because there is certainly a lot wrong with mine. read more

This location tops the only other location I've been too. It was not crowded and our assistant was very helpful. I assume because it was Super Bowl Sunday a lot of people were busy, but it worked perfectly for us. We were able to try on bridesmaids dresses without feeling rushed or uncomfortable. read more

Customer service is not important here. It's more about over booking appointments, upselling you items and having to do all the work yourself. The samples are dirty and I had to get in and out of them myself, with only the help of my sister. My dress came in super early and without the dress bag they upsold us. When I picked up the dress the associate informed me that they would contact me when the dress bag came in. A week goes by and nothing. I call just to inquire and I was surprised to find out it came in yesterday. The "customer service" rep was trying to quickly get me off the phone and to do so she hung up on me, not once but twice, when I tried to call back. I had to call back 5 more times before they answered the phone. At this point I was upset and requested a manager who was also quick to say that she wasn't in the store either of the times I visited, so I guess not her problem and also expressed that if I wanted to cancel my scheduled alterations appointment that would be fine too. You can judge a company from the top down. Your associates are terribe because management needs training. Your reps need customer service training. You need to evaluate is it worth sacrificing a positive customer experience to see a higher bottom line and more sales per hour... I would hope it's something you take into consideration. I'm left with my dress buying experience filled with negativity and not the once in a lifetime positive event it should have been. read more

Don't trust this store for one of the most important days of your life!!! I selected a bridesmaids dress for my bridal party. When one of them went to the store to try it on, my information was nowhere in the computer system. The sales lady was completely clueless and should not have been working there. She almost deleted somebody else's information while looking up my name because someone else had the same first name as me. She wouldn't even get the manager and told my bridesmaid she'd have to go talk to the manager herself. When my bridesmaid needed more assistance, the sales lady was socializing with another coworker and not very attentive. David's Bridal needs to get their act together if they want to remain in business. There are plenty of other places such as online stores and Amazon who will easily take people's business and give a lower price in the process. This is the second wedding that I am in now that I had to order A bridesmaid dress from David's Bridal and I cannot say enough good things about his location. They have always been accommodating to me wether it was with picking out the dress and purchasing it or making my appointment for alterations. This location is further to me than the Altamonte Springs one, but I'd rather give my business to a store where they actually cares enough to take care of their customers. read more

a don't go here if you want to shop with your bridal party. went in w only two people trying on dresses and they won't let us in and the staff is super rude. the girl at the front had no consideration for customer experience and was ridiculous. i wouldn't recommend going here if you value customer service or want to go in with someone besides yourself. So, I had an issue at first with one of the stylists, she was not personable. BUT after the manager came over to talk it out with us, we got a new stylist and she was amazing. Her name is Laura and she went the extra mile with the bride and the bridesmaid. She took the bridesmaids measurements even after she just asked how they do it. She was smiling, helpful and gave great advice. It was extremely flexible, we took over the hour and a half but she didn't seem to mind and kept bringing new items for us to see. The bride said yes to the dress today and we are very pleased with the service and the price (save that one lady). With all of the Covid going on it completely ruins the expectation of first trying on a wedding dress. I was pretty upset about it when I arrived, however they still wanted to work with me and made sure I had a good time. They went beyond to make sure I was happy. I am very appreciative of that. Manager at this location is superb! Super sweet when handling our return. Although.. I ordered a dress online but I am not able to get in contact with anybody in regards to my dress! Very upsetting because it's just adding stress for my wedding day. Definitely should fix that ASAP! read more
