She really helped me narrow it down and was great at coming up with options. I came back in November 2017 with my family to pick one of the dresses, and she was so helpful the entire time. This store is not customer service friendly. To be honest the one at Northlake is worse, at the Northlake store when we arrived they literally fought over who HAD to take us because they didn't want to help us... they did this IN FRONT OF US!!). That should have been my first clue to walk away. However, I bought a bridesmaids dress from the store online after talking with a sales associate on the phone. After receiving it and trying it on the dress was too big on top and not worth altering especially knowing the alterations costs would be really high. I had been assured that I could return it so I brought it into the store to return. The sales associate proceeds to tell me I can't return it and I'll have to mail it in (stores still do that??). However the person I spoke with on the phone never once told me that stipulation or suggested if I ordered it through her then I could return it to the store. So I asked how to return it and he didn't know. Said oh go online I'm sure there's something you have to fill out and then he walked off. I mean come on?? Now I should have read the return policy before ordering, so that's on me. My real complaint isn't that they wouldn't return it at the store as their policy states they won't. My real complaint is just how rudely we were treated at both locations. Worst service I've had in a long time. This was my first and probably last time at David's Bridal. I arrived there and told the salesperson Tiffany exactly what I wanted - a dress which is not puffy and rather sheath. She pulled the dresses for me while I was waiting in the fitting room fighting with one of the skirts you need to wear (I felt like an exploded marshmallow) and the dresses she showed me where exactly what I did not want - puffy. She pulled two more dresses and then she literally gave up. All in all she showed me the total amount of 4 dresses which I think is quite normal. Well, my friend and I left the store and they lost a possible customer. It was an hour before their closing time so she maybe did not want to work anymore or had a bad day. You can not tell me that in a store with several hundred gowns are only 4 gowns that would fit my needs (by the way, I am a size 6 to 8, so it could not be the size that made it impossible). read more

My experience was horrible here. I came with the bride as a bridesmaid and the service was just not acceptable. The associate assigned to us was paying less than no attention to us therefore leading to my dress being ordered in the wrong size. Not to mention the bride asked if I needed to be measured and the associate said no. If I could give 10 stars I would! I've been into this particular David's Bridal multiple times to help friends look for their wedding dresses and to buy bridesmaid dresses. While all my experiences were great, my visit yesterday was the one to write a review about. I walked in without an appointment to just browse for a wedding dress. A lady at the front greeted me with a smile and ask if she could help me. I told her I was just looking and ask for a specific style of dress for my upcoming beach wedding. She called Dyana over who took care of me from there. One of the sweetest people I've ever met, and she truly helped me every step of the way. She pulled multiple dresses for me and gave me advice on each one. She pulled a strapless dress for me (which typically does not look good on me) and told me to just try it. I am SO glad I did, because it was the one. I've been dreading dress shopping because I was afraid I wouldn't find anything I felt comfortable in. She picked a dress for me that fit my budget, body type and truly made me feel beautiful and like a bride. I cannot thank you enough Dyana for helping me find the absolute perfect dress (& suggesting the head piece & veil!) Thank you thank you thank you! I wish I could give zero stars! I went in to check out the selection of formal dresses for my daughter. I told a lady my daughter and her friend needed 2 dresses each for different occasions. She recommended we make an appointment so I made one for the next day. I took my daughter and her friend after school and when we arrived, the lady at the podium in the front told us to pick our 3 dresses and someone would help us. Both girls picked out their dresses. We waited for someone to help us...and waited and waited. We finally got into a dressing room. Once they tried on all the dresses and needed to select more, there was no one to be seen. There was no one there to help the entire time we were there. We finally got tired of waiting and we decided to leave. read more

If I could give ZERO star, I would. Don't even waste your time going here. I had an 11am appointment/consultation; my bridesmaids and mother accompanied me. We wandered around the store aimlessly with little to no guidance at all. There were others in the store that arrived after us but they were treated a lot better; they didn't have to figure out which area of the store they needed to look for certain dress types and such. Before leaving, I asked for a manager and explained my disdain; she then wanted to "help" me.. really? How dare you? Did you not see us in this store for the past 2 hours. We went over to NY Bride & Groom where we received excellent service! We will be making our purchases there instead. I guess I should have expected this from such a cheap chain; you truly do get what you pay for. I will be contacting their corporate offices pronto to express my experience! If your going to Davids Bridal at all- Make an appointment & ask to work with Dayna- she rocks- or the lady at the front will be rude to you & not let you try on any dresses. I went with my mom on a limb last minute because I own a business & its difficult for me to make an appointment anywhere. I always end up cancelling unless I am able to go early morning, but Davids Bridal opens at 11:00am. They have tons of dressing rooms, but only 2 associates helping patrons. If you can't except walk-ins then hire more associates to help out with the over flow! My mom & I were highly disappointed & Dayna was able to help us- Thank god! She was amazing- helped with pulling dresses & even recommended dresses for me. We ended up finding a dress that day & rang the bell! But your front desk appointment lady & the other lady that was helping her were rude- unhelpful- & discouraging. We almost left! I give 5 stars for Dayna & 0 stars for your appointment desk. For a special time in a womens life- make a change-your not a boutique & should be able accept walk-ins. Also make sure your front desk are people friendly & love what they do! read more

Went to order my bridesmaids dress after my bride had picked them out at the store. I'm 6' tall, so when my bride was at the store choosing a dress she specifically asked the sales lady if the dress could be ordered in extra long. The lady looked in the computer and told my bride that the dress could be ordered in extra long. Great! So I go to buy my dress, and the sales associate tells me that the dress is on sale for almost half the price. Great! I was ecstatic. So I pay for the dress, and as I'm walking out the door I return to ask the date that the dress will be in. The lady goes back in the computer system and says "whoops, I accidentally did your dress as a take off the rack instead of an order." So basically, if I would have walked out of the store my dress never would have been ordered. How upsetting is that! Well, as she look in the computer system to actually place the order, she finds that the dress is discontinued in extra long. So basically, she lied to my bride when she told her that the dress could be ordered in extra long. So I'm polite and say that it's fine and I'll just order the regular length and it will just be short on me - well then they tell me that I owe an additional $50, because the regular length dress was not on sale. I asked to speak to the manager to see if she would honor the discounted price, since that is what they told me that I would be owed. And the manager was extremely rude and would not honor that discounted price. Super bad customer service. First, they lied to my bride - the dress was not available in extra long. They lied to me - they didn't order the dress, and it never would have been caught if I didn't ask them to confirm the date that it would be in. And then they wouldn't honor the lower price of the discontinued dress. Honoring the regular length dress at the extra length dress's price would have made me feel a whole lot better about the situation. They basically said "sorry, it's not available." And that's all that they would do to remedy the situation. Very disappointed!!! I will be recommending to anybody that I know who is getting married to NOT use David's Bridal. If it weren't for my anal double checking personality, I never would have asked when my dress would be in, and the dress never would have been ordered. The wedding would have been here and I would have had no dress! If you are ordering from them, I would definitely suggest double, triple checking that your dress has been ordered. Otherwise, who knows if it will ever come in. read more

The front associates at this store are extremely RUDE! We went just to look around at wedding dresses, were not aware that appointments are needed to even try anything on so after 30 minutes or looking through the wedding dresses we were rudely told that we could not "drag" wedding dresses around and were not allowed to take them off the racks and that they were "too heavy" for us and the dresses were promptly taken out of our hands by a rude associate who did not bother to apologize for not informing us of any of this thirty minutes before when we arrived. When I pointed out we should have been told this or that there should be a sign in the wedding dress section she said they were too busy for this. She also did not bother to offer to make an appointment for us. When we asked if we could try on bridesmaid dresses we were told we had to check in at the front and would be set up with a consultant--clearly they were "too busy" so we didn't bother to check in and immediately left that horrible place. read more

I will never shop in this store again. I made an appointment for myself and my daughter with a stylist for bridal dinner dresses. We were ready to spend a significant amount of money to get the right dresses. We had a 11 am appt for me and a 11:30 appt for my daughter and arrived at 10:45. They said the stylist was not there and to "look around" on our own. While we were looking a woman came up to us and asked if we needed help. We said we were waiting for our stylist and she said that she was that and she could help us. I let her know that we needed her help in picking out dresses that looked good on our body types and coloring. She only asked what we saw and what we liked. There was not value add in her helping us at all. We had to go find other dresses; zip up our own dresses; she provided no input at all. Waste of time. It was clear that no one wanted to waste time on us and were more interested in folks spending more money on wedding gowns. Setting an appointment was useless and the inventory was moderate at best. They made it VERY clear by lack of service that we were not the priority. I would not recommend this business. You are better off just shopping for yourself at another store. read more

I recently visited a store in Pineville, NC. The store number is 208. My purpose for the visit was to shop for bridesmaid dresses with my MOH. I had the worst experience ever there. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like we were nothing but a nuisance. I had an appointment and we arrived early to just start to look at dresses to maximize our appt. time. The woman who "helped" us, was very rude. I don't even know her name because she never introduced herself to us. It took her at least five minutes to ask us our names and she didn't even bother asking what we were in for. We began to try on dresses and the woman just walked away. She never asked me anything about my wedding or even asked if I had bought my wedding gown yet. Once we tried on dresses, we decided to go back to the rack to look at the colors. We asked to pull some dresses of the different color purples and the employee's response was "We'll go look at the poster for the colors." Now, one that was extremely unprofessional and two, they look nothing alike in person. I have never had an issue with David's bridal until this time. In fact, I chose David's because of the great experience I've had in the past. I was just highly disappointed and felt like we did not matter to the employees there. I went to David's bridal in pineville as a walk in with my mom a couple weeks ago. I walked up to the desk and told the associate I wanted to look through the dresses because I knew exactly the style I was looking for. The associate told me I had to be assigned someone to take the dresses off the racks for me, which I understood. The associate walked over to another associate and told her there was an appointment coming in 30 minutes and asked her which she would like to assist. The other associate said (loudly enough for everyone in the store to hear) "you take this girl and I'll take the REAL bride." I was extremely offended and asked why I wasn't considered a "real bride." The associate told me that is just what they call girls who do not have appointments. This store is severely lacking in the customer service department, and I will not be giving this location any business in the future. Save yourself some time and go to another bridal store. read more

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL EXPERIENCE! I just visited David's Bridal with a few of my bridesmaids to look at bridesmaid dresses. I set up my appointment plenty in advance and when we got there, our consultant informed us that she was also working with a bride at the same time. Throughout the entire hour reserved for us, we probably got 10 minutes of the consultant's time. I asked her to show us various ways the Versa dress worked, and instead of taking the time to show us herself, she handed us a book and left us to figure it out for ourselves. She was rushing around the whole time and switched up the size dresses of a couple of my bridesmaids, and when she was told about it she acted as if she did not really care. I was very unhappy with the overall experience and am SO happy that I did not buy my wedding dress from their either! I would look for nicer dresses and better customer service elsewhere! Best way to put our experience there into words? Bipolar. We went for a prom dress. Poor customer service (other than the consultants who were great, that's why I rate 2 stars, one each for each consultant we worked with, the store itself and other staff get a zero), turning away people 40 min prior to close, guess they don't want to work one minute past 7pm = lost sales/revenue, restocking holds even after calling to say we were coming to get it prior to closing, 5 minute alterations taking over an hour (a brides bustle apparently trumped us, we learned this later, we were willing to pick up the dress another day but were asked to wait). Here's our experience if you care for details...visit one, Saturday morning...we walked in and saw prom/bridesmaid etc. to our left and migrated towards the dresses. Okay, yes, the was a little podium to our right with a woman standing there, but didn't think anything of it (assumption was made, that she is there for women with bridal fitting appointments). She didn't say a word to us. We perused the dresses, pulled some, even asked someone at the sales counter if a certain dress was available in another size somewhere (was told what was out was what they had and that was fine). Still, no one mentioned to us that in order to try on the dresses, we needed a junior consultant working with us (everyone is apparently supposed to check in with the lady at the podium). They had 2 opportunities to assist us with the process and ignored us. Anyway, we go "sign in", the lady at the podium barks over the intercom for a consultant and my daughter is taken to a fitting room. I will say this, the stylist/consultant was very nice and very kind. We put 2 dresses on hold, since this was the first store we visited and headed to some other stores to shop. When it became clear, around 5pm that the dress she wanted was one of the ones at David's, I called to let them know we were coming for it and not to restock it. They said great and we headed back in that direction. When we got there at 5:30, the dress had been restocked. They couldn't find it in the "on holds area" WTH? I didn't complain, just glad it was still THERE, albeit on the regular sales rack. My daughter tried it on again and we noted the hook and eye closure was broken and there was a seem pull on the back as well. Again I will say, the consultant this round was very nice and kind as well, just as much as the first, even helping my daughter find matching shoes etc. and getting the minor alterations done on the spot. Or so we thought. Here's where I need to complain. The alteration lady took the dress to the back, and after about 20 min, we inquired what was taking so long. Our consultant was kind enough to go check for us and came back and said she was currently working on it, We had dinner plans, it was after 6 at this point so we said we could come back for it. The consultant seemed miffed at that and asked us the wait, since the alterations were being done, right then, and the alteration lady was taking the time to do it immediately and putting other things aside for us. We felt bad, and stuck around. BAD idea. At 6:20, still waiting, a prom girl comes in and tries to check in with the podium and is TURNED AWAY, the woman there tells her that since they close at 7pm, she won't have time to try on dresses. WTH again?! There is 40 minutes left to pick and try on dresses! Our visit that morning was only 40 minutes? Lost sale opportunity. We witnessed this again 10 min later, this time with a bride and her bridesmaid seeking bridesmaids dresses. At 6:45, we were done...late for dinner, it had been an hour, when finally, the alterations woman comes out. She was apologetic at least, telling us a bride's bustle had to jump in front of us. Another WTH moment! We were fine picking it up another day but were told she was working on it and asked to wait. A very frustrating moment indeed. Someone should have come and told us that, we would have left and come back. Overall, their consultants, who I'm sure work on commission, were motivated, friendly and helpful. The other staff were horrible! What's also bad for this location is I am a bride and haven't begun my dress search but perused a little while I was there, even mentioned I was a bride, totally went on deaf ears. Another lost sale opportunity. We will never shop here again. read more

Picking out my dress was okay. It was very busy that day and I didn't get much help, but didn't need it. I had a couple friends with me. When I chose my dress I found out the color I preferred wasn't available in time. So I chose another color.l That one wasn't available in my size but could be ordered larger and altered. That's fine. I was told it would be about four weeks. Four weeks later I called to check on it and found out that the dress had been in for 25 days. It apparently arrived within a week after I ordered it. I was never notified because they only email and they didn't have my email! I asked why they didn't call me since they had my number and was told they don't call any more, just email. But they never asked for my email. Then I was told that I had to pick up the dress ASAP. I needed it altered but she said that I still had to pick it up even if I didn't have an appointment for altering. I was so frustrated that the dress had been there for 3+ weeks without anyone telling me and that they were so insistent that now I suddenly had to get the dress ASAP. I got the dress and took it some place else to be altered. If I hadn't called to check on the dress I'd still be waiting. Terrible customer service. read more
