if i could give no stars i would.. i went here with my nieces and my sister..and was very disappointed with the girl that took care of us... she sucked... she didn't make my niece feel special at all.she didn't fix her dress ie: poof it out so you could see exactly how the back would look ( my other niece did it for her all 4 times) she tried on 4 dresses and when we wanted to see her in the one that made her mom cry the girl was like well if this is the dress she wants then it is a moot point isn't it...snotty and rude and that was the only time she really said anything..the dress she commented on was also the most expensive one out of the 4 she tried on .. she never asked her if this was the one..my sister did and she said yes... while we were there another person got a bell rang and everyone clapped when they chose the dress ..the bride to be sister was trying on bridesmaid dresses and our associate left and started helping another walk in party ...overall i would never suggest anyone i know go to this store... ! they did not give my niece the experience i fell all brides deserve.. read more

Davids bridal has been rude from the start. I live in Columbus but am getting married near Toledo where my mom lives so we went there. They tried forcing me to try on dresses way out of my price range, i finally found a dress we could afford. My bra is a 36 dd and she brought me a 55 fff! Basically calling me fat. I tried on so many bras before she finally brought out the size i Told her! And she ended up ignoring me and ordering a giant bra anyway. The alterations department has No idea how to do their job, they even said they did Not have enough experience to alter my dress. I have been up four times to try on, i still do not have a bra that fits and they are destroying my dress! I said it was too loose around the breast and they were like no its fine and im like this does not fit! So they scrunched it up in the middle and just put one stitch it and it looks like a 5 year old did it. It is still too big in the breast area and i live 3 hours away, i do not have time to keep driving up to try on a dress that is already ruined. Ive accepted that im going to look terrible on my wedding day. Please do NOT go here! read more

I got married in September 2014. I checked out a couple of bridal shops and I decided to go to David's Bridal even though I knew how bad they could be. Originally, I didn't want to look for a wedding dress there, but I went anyways. BIG MISTAKE. The consultant I had did not listen to a word I said. She brought me the ugliest dresses I've ever seen. I absolutely hated everything she picked out. She was rude when I would tell her they weren't my style. After trying on about 30 dresses I walked out. Unfortunately, I had to go back there for my bridesmaid dresses. My girls were scattered around in a couple of different cities and states and with David's being everywhere it was easier for them to get their dresses. What a MESS! They didn't measure my sister or sister-in-law. My sisters dress was GIGANTIC on her. My SIL's dress was about 3 sizes too small. They guessed by the dress they had on instead of actually measuring them. Both had to have their dresses sent back. During this time, my sister got a new job and her hours were crazy. She got the e-mail her dress was in, but the David's is 45 minutes from her house so it wasn't easy for her to get there. They called and told her she had to come get it or it was being sent back. Then one of my girls was on vacation when her dress came in. She was visiting family for 2 weeks in Florida. She didn't check her e-mail while she was there. She got a phone call from David's demanding she come pick her dress up or they would send it back. When she explained she was on vacation they were rude and told her she needed to pick it up as soon as she got back. (Note: This wasn't all at the Monroe Street location). I can't stand David's Bridal. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law looked to getting alterations there and it was going to cost more than they paid for their dresses. Ridiculous. read more

I went to David's Bridal yesterday in search of a dress I found on their website. My consultant, Jan, told me they were no longer available online and the only store that had one was in Colorado. I had everything to do not to start bawling. Jan told me that she had similar dresses, but to me it didn't matter. Then I realized it wouldn't hurt to try some on especially because I needed to know my size anyways. Jan brought out 3 dresses and I loved them all. She was so understanding and patient with me because I put the old dress out of my mind and had to choose between 3 dresses I adored. She never made me feel rushed when I kept switching back into them and because they were understaffed, the time that she was away gave me time alone with my family to talk about the pros and cons of each dress. I ended up walking out of there able to check dress, tiara, veil, and necklace off my list of things to do. Jan was able to help me achieve the princess look I was going for and assured me that she would help me with anything I needed along the way. read more

I went into the Toledo ohio store looking for a bridal gown And was pleased to find my consultant Kaila McCoppin not only very professional but very personable and not pushy at all like I have found at other bridal stores in the area. She gave me a tour of the store, asked me what I was looking for and even asked me about my theme and my vision for my entire wedding! She showed me to my dressing room where she had a bra and slip waiting for me. She not only worried about my dress but made sure I had shoes, veil, headbands, even jewelry! I was so happy I got everything set for myself in one stop! She had called the manager over and introduced her to me her name was Stephanie she was very enjoyable! She made sure that my visit was everything I had hoped for! All in all I had a wonderful visit despite all the bad reviews I found them all to be untrue about this store! I had an absolutely amazing experience today at David's Bridal. I'm going to be honest- I was a bit weary of going into a huge chain to find my wedding dress. Me and my sister (MOH) got there and I booked my appointment online- unfortunately, I must've not submitted it correctly because there wasn't anything in the books but they were so accommodating and figured out how to get me in (the place was extremely booked up, so I was shocked). I can't say this enough- THE STAFF WAS AMAZING- so kind, helpful & respectful. Even the seamstress was there and lending her knowledge on how to make the dress tailored to my personality. As of now, I don't have my dress picked out. But I do know- I will never judge a book by its cover! Such an amazing experience & staff!! read more

I wanted a cute, comfortable, inexpensive dress and I found something perfect for my casual summer wedding. My consultant was so helpful! She helped my 8 year old daughter find a flower sash to sort of match the one on my dress, and she was really helpful with finding a dress for my other bridesmaid. read more

Although my friend and I had heard very great things about this store, we were VERY disappointed. When we walked in, there was an immediate feeling of judgement by the staff (we are teenagers and were looking for prom dresses). We then began looking at the dress selection: it was significantly lacking to say the least. There was practically NOTHING and we were disappointed beyond belief. Clearly they do not serve people of normal size considering everything in our sizes were not attractive at all....overall very disappointed. Save your time and go somewhere else. read more

I am very unhappy with some of the service that myself and members of my wedding party has recieved. Firstly, I would like to begin with the consultant I "worked" with to find my wedding dress. (I told the cashier about these issues but I don't think it reached management ears). I came in with a list of dresses that I wanted to try on, I even had the stock numbers. I gave this list to the consultant to find the dresses. She just kind of walked away. So my mother and I looked at some dresses and pulled them ourselves. She then came back to us and asked if we found anything. I showed her the ones we found, so she took us to the dressingroom. I asked her about the dresses on my list and she said that you didn't carry many of them. Which was funny because a girl next to me was trying on one of the dresses... I let it go. So I tried on dress after dress. All the while another dress from my list was hanging near by, I had to ask her multiple times to bring me that dress. She made fun of it and told me I wouldn't like it. After convincing her I still wanted to try it on, she brought it over. It was the one! (No surprise to me because it was 2nd on my list!!) This one in a lifetime expierence should have been a bonding moment for me and my mother, however, it turned into a nearly 3hour long nightmare with extremely poor service. Then after I found the dress she didn't even offer me the bell. So after I ordered the dress and figured out my bridesmaid dresses (which I had to work with her again and she was rude and unattenitive again). She continuously called me about ordering these dresses. My wedding is in June she was calling me in August every week! I finally asked her when my bridesmaids need to order their dresses by she said the first week of March. I told her that was great and she no longer needed to call me until a month or two before then. She never called again. All but two of my girls got their dresses ordered by the last week of Feb, which should have been fine because I was told I had till the first week of March but the dress was on back order and unavailable to the two other girls. After working with the manager I got that issue resolved. She was very helpful and understanding. So when another one of my girls had an issue I was shocked. Appearently, her dress had come in and she went to pick it up but they had held it for over 12 days so they sent it back. They never told her she only 12 days to get the dress and the date of when she was called about the dress and the date when she went to pick it up was not 12days. What bothers me sooo much about this situation was I (the bride) was not called before they sent back the dress! I would have liked to be contacted if any of my girls hadn't gotten their dresses. This store needs to get rid of the consultant that I worked with and work on their comunication with clients. read more

My daughter tried on 4 dresses, the associate, didnt comment , adjust, (fix the back, to get the full effect) etc,, was very apathetic, did not make it a special experience at all, the only time she showed ant life, was when my daughter tried on the most expensive one..and was resistent to my daughter trying on the one, that made me get tears in my eyes, didnt ask if the one my daughter fell in love with was the "ONE" another patron picked out a dress, and got a bell rang, and made to feel special. she did not ask if i was interested in any mother of the bride dresses, went to take care of a walk in party,looking at bridesmaid dresses, (my other daughter was trying on bridesmaid dresses btw) the only reason i bought the dress there was to give my daughter the "say yes to the dress" experience the salesperson did not. i will not even consider buying the mother of the bride dress, bridesmaid, veil, shoes, etc from Davids Bridal dont know if its because we are blue collar and look it,,(we make quite good money at Jeep) dont judge a book by its cover.. also the bathroom lights motion sensor is broke, and goes off and on while your in there.....very poor maintenence read more

(Monroe Street, Toledo, Ohio) At first my experience was good I found my dress quick and Brock the lady that helped me was amazing. Then we went back a couple of months later to get my bridesmaids dresses this was quick and painless as well. I even have bridesmaids in different cities and states and all went well except for them ordering one of my bridesmaids the wrong color dress but they fixed it. Then a few weeks ago I went for my first fitting and come to find out they told me that they didn't order the correct size when they originally ordered my dress and my slip were way to small. They told me they would reorder it in a dress that was 2 sizes too big because I am chesty they proceeded to tell me that it would be in by august 25th that would give them roughly 3 weeks for alterations. The alterations department assured me they would have it done in time. so I didn't freak out too much then I went up to the register to sign my new receipts and they tell me that it wont be in until September 8th my wedding is September 26th. I just feel like something should have been compensated for a discount or something applied they openly said it was a mistake on their end, but yet offered nothing to ease the mistake. I am still crossing my fingers and hoping it gets in sooner. read more

I went to Davids Bridal to find a dress for my wedding. I'm aware that im not the smallest but i cant say i appreciated the girl making comments about bigger girls cant be too choosy when it comes to flattering fits (size 20 in a wedding dress) and i am so happy i brought my own corset bra because the one she tried to have me use was disgusting and smelled horrible even through the bag she left in the fitting room when i told her i didnt need it. There were 4 brides at once and she left me and my MOH to find dresses ourselves. She then brought me two dresses that were the definition of what i told her i didnt want. She came back to say maybe another appointment would be helpful. I asked if they had any books i was laughed at and the girls working said oh well there's an app we use now. My daughter is getting married in July, over a month ago she made an appointment to look at bridesmaids and Jr bridesmaids dresses. Yesterday was our appointment and it was a disaster from the beginning. While she was told on the phone that she might have to share a salesperson with someone and was told she would be given an hour to shop. I assured her this wasn't how they would want to do business and that we would have time. BOY was I wrong!! We were greeted politely when we arrived (There were 3 bridesmaids, a Jr. bridesmaid, the bride, mother of the bride and mother of the groom). We were quickly shown to a section of dresses and told that a salesperson would join us shortly. When she finally showed up she informed the bride that there would only be 4 dress styles that would come in her choice of color before the wedding date in the middle of July. She then took off to help another bride, upon her return she quickly and sloppily measured the girls went and got dresses, hung them on the dressing room doors and told us she needed to help the other bride again. She popped back in and we requested a different style dress to try which she brought to us and quickly left again. My daughter asked a question and it was answered with the reply...sorry I have to get back to the bride??? Isn't my daughter a bride too?? AND then when the salesperson returned the next time we were told " I'm sorry ladies your time is up, if you would like to see more dresses you'll have to make another appointment." So, yes they did sell 1 wedding dress yesterday BUT they have lost the sale of 5 bridesmaids dresses, 3 Jr bridesmaid dresses and possibly the sale of 2 mother of the brides dresses. You can be sure we will not be going back! read more

I'll start by saying that I didn't want to go to David's Bridal, but after a terrible appointment at another Toledo shop we decided to make an appointment and look around before my next appointment elsewhere. When we arrived we felt super welcomed and were pleasantly surprised at the wide variety of dresses there. They have definitely stepped up their game as far as wedding gowns go in recent years. My appointment was with Kyle, and she was amazing! She was very helpful and and knew exactly what I was looking for. I didn't except to find my dress here, but I did and I love it. Kyle is actually the one who grabbed this dress, and when I first saw it I wasn't sure, but tried it on and immediately knew it was the one. I did still go to my other appointment, but made a second appointment at David's Bridal for later that afternoon and when I came back I tried on the dress again and bought it. I'm definitely happy with the customer service there, as everyone we encountered was super friendly! read more

I am a bride getting married in August. I have always heard horrible things about david's bridal in Toledo but unfortunately being really the only big bridal store around I decided to give them a chance...BIG MISTAKE! I have had problems since the first time I walked in there. First of all the entire staff is extremely rude and rushes you. So I have 6 bridesmaids and a junior bridesmaid who is 11yrs old, we were told the girls dresses had to be ordered by Feb in case some needed alterations and they had to be paid in full for them to order them. When one of my bridesmaids went to get fitted for the dress they had her trying on a totally different dress because they said it was on my wish list , which it wasn't I only had ever picked out the one (the dress they ordered) so when I talked to the employee about why she was having my bridesmaid try on a totally different dress she said "jallah bronson" had ordered that one, when I told her I had no idea who that was and she isnt in my wedding party she said she was sorry and would take her off my bridal party...to this day three different people have told me this girl who I do not know is still on my bridal party and they can't remove her sorry! The employee then told my bridesmaid she didnt even need to get fitted because both dresses(the wrong one) and the dress I picked out were basically the same...um No each style fits different! So this week an a worker from there called to let me know all the dresses were in when I asked why they didn't call the girls personally they said they didn't have contact info for them which I know is a lie because I was there when the girls gave all their information when the orders were place, basically they were to lazy to call five girls so they called me instead. When one of the girls picked up her dress they brought her out a blue dress in a different style ( my dresses are coral strapless) they said thats the one she ordered she told them no her dress is coral the employee threw an attitude and said well let me go check, found her right dress! Another bridesmaid went to get her dress, she ordered a size 10, davids ordered her the wrong one a size 6, my bridesmaid cant even get the dress on and david's told her sorry since the dress is already paid for they can't do anything about it! IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE ORDERING THE WRONG SIZE! They also just told me this week their alterations department is booked until July so we need to go somewhere else for alterations, which I know the lady who recently just quit the alterations department and told me they are lieing and telling customers that because they actually closed that department because of so many people quitting! I am now worried about my own wedding dress that I ordered from there with all the problems and negativity we have received from their staff! I would never ever recommend this place, a brides wedding planning is stressful enough this should not even be an issue! HORRIBLE! read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I've had issues with this place every time I've ordered bridesmaids dresses for my friends weddings. We had an appointment for the bridesmaids to try on dresses. The person helping us greeted us at the front, then disappeared for about 20-30 minutes leaving us to try on our own dresses and find others to open the dressing rooms. We finally saw our person again, coming from the back with a friend that didn't work there that had brought her food. If they schedule a time for you, then they need to be available and not just take their lunch in the middle of our appointment. The person was very rude and I felt bad for the bride having a horrible experience. Later I called back to order my dress. They said it would take a few weeks. I called them two months afterwards to see if my dress came in and they said it had been sitting there for over a month. No one called me. They said that because they are so backed up, they don't call but send out emails. I did not get a call or an email. The bride did not get a call or an email. So apparently I was supposed to be a mind reader knowing when my dress came in. Now I have three weeks to get my alterations. I will most definitely go there to get them done, I'll never get my dress back. I'm really hoping that if I am in anymore weddings the bride does not choose this place because it's awful. read more
