I can't say enough wonderful things about David's Bridal in Waldorf. I was so nervous to look for dresses but the minute I walked through the door I was comfortable. They took the time to get to know me and to know all about my relationship with my husband. It only took 3 dresses to find the perfect one. The wonderful words that were spoken to me as I rang the bell had me in tears. My dress came in exactly 2 weeks after it was ordered (4 weeks early). I went to Davids for my jewelry as well. I didn't just go pick something out, they took the time to help me decide what looked best on me and what went best with my dress. I waited until about a month before the wedding to have my dress altered. I went to David's for my alterations and even though the dress looked amazing pinned I decided to go somewhere else simply because of the price and based on recommendations of a co-worker. That was the biggest mistake of my life. My dress was destroyed to the point I couldn't wear it. Not only was it destroyed, it was filthy and even had red lipstick stains on it. At this point it was 1 week before my wedding. I didn't know what to do so I went back to David's and the wonderful ladies that work there asked me what was wrong. I've been there enough that I suppose they just picked up on it right away. I just broke down and started crying. One of the employees went in back to talk to the man in alterations. They called me back and he started to pin my dress and as he went along he went over everything that needed to be done. I couldn't pick my dress up until the day before the wedding. I was so nervous all week. When I put my dress on it was PERFECT! Not only did he repair it but he altered it and it was clean! All the stains were gone and it looked brand new. I should have gone with my gut instinct and stayed with them in the beginning. Never once was I treated as just a customer. I visited the David's Bridal in Waldorf on 8/19/14 to preview some of their dresses for my 2015 wedding. Initially I had limited expectations as I had recently visited another DB located in PG County and was completely dissatisfied with the service I received. When I arrived to the Waldorf location I was immediately greeted, and received the undivided attention of Carlotta (bridal consultant.) She was my lady in waiting! She walked each aisle with me to help me explore different styles and options. She accessorized me from head to toe, including shoes, belts, hair clips-you name it to give me the full affect! She was so patient and personable, I could not have asked for a better person to work with. I was there for quite some time and she never left my side the entire time unlike what I experienced at the Bowie location. I felt like I was in the hands of a family member, someone who really cared and wanted me to be completely happy with my selection. When I finally said "yes to the dress" and rang the bell, the rest of the DB family was there to congratulate me and participate in the customary DB bell ringing ceremony. well, we thought it sounded like such a great idea to do all of our business with David's Bridal since the wedding party was scattered in different states. We knew from the beginning that her color would be a deep royal blue, and we selected the color "Horizon" for the bridesmaids dresses. We were told that the dresses my daughter chose would be in her account and that each bridesmaid could go to their local store and the store would make sure they ordered the right one. My daughter's wedding day came and her other bridesmaids showed up in the wrong color dresses! 2 of them had navy dresses (the color was called "marine") and even at that, 2 bridesmaids had different shades of "marine". The other had Horizon colored dress. I called our store and informed them of what happened and they said the regional manager would be contacting me. 5 days later, and no one has contacted me! We put a lot of planning and effort into all of the details of her special day, and I'm sick that this happened in spite of all of our efforts. Pictures cannot be retaken. I made an appointment which is a must. Paula was assigned to help me and she was wonderful. She helped me find a dozen dresses in my low price range and was attentive the entire time. I feel like she loves her job, which she should, because she was good at it. As I put on each dress, she adjusted and gathered it to show me how each should look. She was never pushy and did not rush me at all. If any of the other employees came near, they offered their help and encouragement as well. There were about 6 other brides in and out during the time I was there and each seemed to find dresses they loved. I found my dress in about an hour but stayed longer to play dress up with my friend and Paula in the accessories section. The store had a really positive and friendly vibe. When I checked out, Debbie & Paula went through my purchases with me to be sure my starrey-eyed self understood my carry-away purchases and delivery dates. I am the mother-in-law to be of a beautiful daughter. There were four of us on Feb. 21, 2013 and we were greeted nicely but we heard a female employee say that she wasn't taking anymore brides. It was said in a negative way and we should have never heard that and we all prayed that she was not going to assist us. As we waited the receptionist informed us that they were short handed and we almost left but a wonderful man by the name of Cody saved the day! His customer service was nothing less than EXCELLENT! He gave us his undivided attention and answered all our questions and concerns. We wanted to give him a tip and he refused and told us that he loves the work he is doing. It's such a pleasure to have a positive person who loves the job he does and that is what makes for good customer service. I have been to MANY different David's Bridal's throughout Maryland and Virginia (I can't even count how many weddings I've been in) and I've never received great customer service, until I went to this one! My wedding is May 21st and I've been in this location many times already for my bridesmaids, my flower girls and to get my dress altered. Every time I go in the staff is so friendly and makes you feel like you're the only bride in the store! The whole staff and especially Brittany was such a huge help when I've been in there and when I had a crisis trying to find a last minute dress for a bridesmaid! I actually got my wedding dress at a different David's Bridal in VA (only because it was closer to where my sister lives) and if I could go back I would have gone to this location instead! What an amazing experience and Beth is an outstanding consultant, Each appointment I've had I've scheduled to work with Beth, including my Bridesmaids appointments. Beth has continued to do an outstanding job for me and my bridal party. I was working 2 hours away on a day that I wanted to come and make a purchase of all the bridal party jewelry and I was rushing to get there before Beth left for the day, I finally arrived when it was time for her to get off work and she was more than happy to stay and assist me with my final decisions/selections and to finish the purchase and didn't feel the need to rush, so her caring & attention to her customers is greatly appreciated and is just an example of her dedication to her craft. we had a bridesmaid appointment in the springfield location on Saturday, and it couldn't of went any worse then it did! the management sucked and the consultant that was dealing with us was the worst ever!! The bride had to change her colors, and was in tears, and as the matron of honor felt it was my job to try one more time, to find dresses in the new color and easy her panic. So as I got ready to walk in the waldorf one, the vibe was not good, and I was surprised. I had already purchased my wedding dress from an expensive bridal boutique and after my first fitting I came to the harsh realization that I absolutely didn't feel good in the gown that I had originally purchased. With only 4 weeks to my wedding date I made an emergency appointment at David's in Waldorf in hopes of finding something that I even liked... but I ended up absolutely loving the dress that I purchased! I could not be more pleased with the experience I had purchasing my wedding gown and my daughters bridesmaids dress at David's Bridal in Waldorf, MD. My client representative, Kaitlyn was AMAZING! So kind, courteous, sweet, and brought me only the types of gowns that I wanted to try. She selected so many wonderful styles however, that it made it difficult for me to choose! I enjoyed my experience at David's Bridal. At first I was overwhelmed, didn't have an appointment. I went to David' Bridal to see the types of dresses offered, to get a sense of what I would like. I was by myself, feeling overwhelmed. Deborah assisted me. I had selected a dress, she selected 2 others for me. The first dress I selected I tried on, I REALLY loved!!. When I tried on the 2nd dress it was a true fit, I fell in love with it right then and there. I especially loved the "SAY YES TO THE DRESS MOMENT!" I purchased a dress for my daughter for homecoming at the David's Bridal in Bowie. The dress was slightly too big, and Bowie didn't have the size down. I called Waldorf and spoke to Brittany. She was FABULOUS!! I was a panicked mom, a week before homecoming. Brittany's location didn't have the dress at all, but she was very helpful in giving me two other David's to call that have bigger selections than her store. I scheduled an appointment which was easy online. Making the appointment was a good idea because they are busy all the time. My stylist was Courtney D. and I highly recommend her. She has a bubbly personality and was attentive to my likes and dislikes as I chose wedding gowns to try on. Courtney was patient, yet excited to perform her duties as a stylist.
