This place is outstanding! We were looking for kosher food while on a road trip, and I was very surprised to find this place - it totally exceeded our expectations. We had stopped in a number of high-end places during our road trip and this place was arguably as good or better than all of the other places we had been to. The meats were fresh off the grill and delicious, the flavors were very authentic, the portions were very generous, and there were several sides in with each entree. The service was also great and our bill wasn't very high considering how much food we ordered. A not-to-be missed stop in West Florida! Highly recommend it!

The food is delicious especially the parigiyot. It's a good idea to call ahead and place your order to reduce wait times.

The area surrounding the restaurant is beautiful and makes for a great place to walk around and explore. Once inside, the atmosphere is just as impressive, and thankfully the food, drinks, and service live up to the hype. My dad and I started with the Gator Tail appetizer. Neither of us had ever tried alligator before, so we were really curious to see what it was like. Turns out, we loved it! It tastes surprisingly similar to chicken and was a fun way to try something new. For our mains, my dad ordered their famous Meatloaf, and after trying a bite, we completely understand why it's one of their signature dishes. It was excellent. I went with Barry's Tomahawk Pork Chop, and it was outstanding. The pork was cooked perfectly; juicy, tender, and not dry whatsoever. The real star, though, was the guava demi-glace, which added such a unique and delicious flavour to the dish. The beer selection was great too. I especially enjoyed the Wedding Beer Berry Lager, which was refreshing and packed with flavour. We also saved room for dessert. We tried the Candied Maple Bacon Ice Cream and the Bourbon Butter Cake. The ice cream wasn't really my favourite; I thought the cornflakes were a bit of a strange addition, but my dad enjoyed it. The Bourbon Butter Cake, on the other hand, was delicious and a great way to finish off the meal. Between the beautiful setting, excellent food, great drinks, and friendly service, it's easy to see why Ulele is such a popular Tampa destination. Everyone was super nice and it just felt like such a lively spot. Our table got a bunch of apps to share along with a couple entrees and all of the food was fantastic. The sangria was also incredible and definitely a standout. The only downside was that the service felt a little slow, so in between ordering drinks it felt like a long time. I did not mind too much though because the overall experience was still really fun. Definitely a place I would go back to!

We had a 6:30 PM reservation and the restaurant was fairly empty (about 4-5 tables occupied), yet we were seated at a very small two-top directly next to another couple where we could clearly hear each other's conversations. Several larger tables nearby remained empty the entire evening. When I asked about moving, we were told the tables were reserved and we'd need to leave by 8:30 PM ~ yet we stayed until 9:40 PM and those tables were never used... Service started off slow. No one greeted us for about 20 minutes until we waved someone over. When our server, Briana, arrived, she asked if we had been helped, which made it seem like there was a lack of communication between the host staff and servers. Food was okay: the branzino with grilled vegetables was very good, but the octopus was extremely tough and chewy. My plate was also chipped on both the left and right sides, which was surprising considering how expensive the dinner was. Drinks were fine, just a bit too sweet. What really caught me off guard was the automatic 20% gratuity added to a two-top. The most expensive restaurants in Tampa don't even do it and this is not Miami. Overall, not a terrible experience ~ but not one that makes me eager to return.

My…read morewife thought the atmosphere and ambience looked and felt as if it were designed by John Gotti's interior designer. XD I personally thought it was fine. The physical building itself is very unique, very old school... lot's of hidden hallways and tucked away rooms. Almost like a dungeon-exploring adventure (not a bad thing). The food was good. My wife enjoyed the foie gras ($34) tremendously. I enjoyed the lobster bisque (+$11 from included French onion soup with steak) moderately. (had a non-traditional "spice" to it) My wife orders the 8oz filet mignon, and I ordered the 14oz Delmonico (a.k.a. ribeye). The filet was very good, and the Delmonico was good. Neither were out-of-this-world (certainly not enough to warrant the exorbitant price). The baked potato (which mine included butter, cheese, and bacon) had a "bite" to it, something that I did not expect (or enjoy). It might be the butter... they say it was a sweet cream butter, but there was a tartness to it all that was off-putting. I also ordered a thrice-baked potato, just to try it out. It was awful! Bern's has often been rated as the #1 steak house in Tampa, but I just don't get it. Perhaps my unrefined palette is lost on all the Frenchy froo froo stuff. I feel like I could make everything they offered better myself... for a FIFTH of the price. Everything is just so expensive there, and at those prices, I need to feel like it is the best thing I've every had in my life. It was far from this. Additionally, the time it took was very long. I get it, this is a multi-course situation, and you're supposed to take your time and not be rushed. But I personally don't generally take 90 minutes from start to finish to each my food.... I'm just not that guy. The atmosphere and intimacy were great for special occasions, but all in all, I don't think we will be going back, ever.

Even the entrance with the red lighting sets the tone and makes the evening feel special from the moment you arrive. The service wonderful! The steak was excellent and cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed the French onion soup, which was rich, flavorful, and one of the better versions I've had. The fried onions were tasty, though a bit greasier than I would have preferred. One of the most unique parts of the experience was the wine cellar and kitchen tour. It adds a fun, behind-the-scenes element that makes Bern's feel more like an event than just dinner. Be sure to save room for dessert, the dessert room upstairs is a destination of its own and a great way to end the evening. The only downside is parking. Street parking is very limited and can be frustrating, so valet is definitely the way to go. Overall, Bern's delivers on atmosphere, food, wine, and experience. If you're looking for a memorable steakhouse night in Tampa, this place lives up to its reputation.

I thought the inside decor was really cool and it was basically set up like a New York City deli. Even in the parking lot it had Knicks, jets and Giants parking lot signs. Stopped in on a Wednesday around 3 PM and wasn't very busy. TVs everywhere and looks like a good place to watch a sporting event, but I did notice they close at 9 PM. Not sure if those hours are still correct. My lunch was fantastic and I started out with a bowl of matzoh ball soup for eight dollars and then I highly recommend this huge deli sub called the Cranston Kevin. Huge sandwich for $20 and worth it and the potato salad is pretty good as well. I added a picture of the sandwich which is almost like a French dip, but it's got turkey on it as well. Our server was Lauren and she even said it's her favorite sandwich on the menu. On the other side of the restaurant, they have a huge bakery as well, but didn't grab anything but did some window shopping of all the great stuff they had in the bakery. Great lunch spot and would def come back
