I brought both my engagement ring and my wedding band to David for repairs. One of the diamonds in my wedding band had fallen out but I had the stone, and one of the very small diamonds in my engagement ring band had fallen out and needed a full replacement. David was wonderful. He pointed out how the prongs around the stone in the engagement ring needed to be fully repaired to allow the diamond to be replaced and for the wedding band, the white gold itself needed to be built up to allow him to fully repair the prongs that were needed to hold and support the stone that had fallen out. My husband and I had just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary, and both rings had not been polished or dipped to protect and restore shine in that time. David suggested and took care of this for me as well. He promised the rings would look as they did on the day they were purchased and he did not disappoint!! I broke my finger and needed my ring sawed off. Well the doctors definitely took care of my finger but my poor ring was a mess broken in two places and diamonds missing. I went into David's Jewelry and staring looking at new settings. I bought a gorgeous new setting for a great price. David also fixed my old setting and put a fake diamond in it for a vacation ring. Which was great because i do love that setting as well. David took care of my new ring setting tightened all diamonds and resized the ring and it looks stunning. I know it can scary giving a stranger your diamonds not knowing what they are doing in the back, David does all the work right in front of you. I've used David's a couple of times now, and I am quite pleased with the results. First time was for a watch that needed a new battery and try as I might, I couldn't get the case opened, even with the correct tools. Brought it to David's and not only did he change the battery, he also did a polishing job that resulted in the watch looking like brand new. Next I brought in a Chai medallion that was extremely tarnished. We're talking over 40 years of tarnish here. David cleaned the Chai and chain, and now it looks brand new. Beautiful work. This last one I was a little embarrassed. I had taken the back off a watch to change the battery. But try as I might, I couldn't get the case closed. Took it to David's. I also pointed out that there was an engraving on the back that I didn't want there. No judgement on his part. He buffed out the engraving so it was no longer there, got the case back fastened and did a general cleaning. Watch looks great. Very pleased with all of this. I will never go back to this jewelry store again he put diamonds in one of my original rings and it's not even a year yet and 4 times a diamond has fallen out and one of the diamonds even cracked.
