I had been a loyal customer of this appliance store and trusted their guidance when purchasing a…read morenew dryer. I was very clear with the salesperson about my household needs--we do a significant amount of laundry, and I needed something that could keep up. I was assured that the model I purchased would have the same functionality as my previous dryer, just without some of the "extra" features. That turned out to be completely inaccurate. From day one, the dryer has not performed properly. Sometimes it stops mid-cycle, and other times it continues running for hours even when the clothes are already dry. I called the very next day after installation to express my concerns, and instead of addressing the mismatch in product recommendation, I was routed through a warranty service process. When the repair technician came out, I was told that this dryer does not have moisture sensors like my previous one--meaning it cannot innately function as my previous dryer did. This is a fundamental difference in functionality and directly contradicts what I was told at the time of purchase. Had I been given accurate information, I would not have chosen this model. Our vent leads through the roof so while this int always ideal it was never an issue with the old dryer. I told the sales associate (Joe) about this when we were shopping. They are now blaming this issue on where the heat vent leads and are glazing over the fact that this dryer does not have the same capability is my last dryer. To make matters worse, I was also informed--for the first time--that I could be charged for the service visit if no issue was found. This was never disclosed to me in advance. The only reason I was not charged is because the brand-new dryer was delivered with a dent, which is unacceptable in itself. I do try to shop local when possible but had I gone to a big box store I would have been able to return the dryer the next day and chosen something more suitable for my family. At this point, I feel completely misled. I relied on the expertise of the sales team, and instead ended up with a product that does not meet my needs and information that was either incomplete or incorrect. This experience has significantly impacted my trust in a store I have purchased from numerous times before.

A rep, Cliff, from SnowBrothers came out on 10/1 to fix a loose hose and did a great job. Since 10/4, however, the washer will not drain. We have had a drum full of water (with clothes molding inside) since 10/4 (6 days). The outsourced repair team canceled their service call due to illness and we have been placed on a cancellation list. The EARLIEST we will get serviced is Monday, 10/13 UNLESS someone else cancels their service call! This is insane. And Corey and Amy from SnowBrothers indicated the company won't replace the machine until we've had 2 service calls. And we haven't even had ONE! Now, I'm headed to a laundromat after spending $1300 on a washer! Unbelievable. The customer service at SnowBrothers is a notch below a big box store. Think twice before making the leap. We've purchased an oven and dishwasher from SnowBrothers and this negative experience has truly made us reconsider our loyalty. It's a lot of money to spend without the customer service SnowBrothers is supposed to be known for providing its customers.

We couldn't do same day, so we met the following morning. Just as hoped, the guy kept it straightforward, honest, helpful and as described. A little context: Originally Sears was out (yes, they still exist). Having repaired a few refrigerators, garage doors and operator control boards myself over the years, I knew things weren't right with these Sears guys (yes, plural -- well, one in training, poor sod). They weren't dishonest, really, just excessive. Especially with cost (...pretty obviously constrained by dinosaur policy -- what felt geared towards getting a fleeced customer to buy a new appliance from Sears). The Sears guys estimated a four-figure two-man project, including for two off-the-shelf generic machine screws, $37 each, parts only. (Still had to pay them for coming out.) Bless their little hearts. I can see how people get bamboozed by this blue-shirted Sears "professionalism". Hearing good things, I contacted Daniil. And in a little more than a day, paid an eighth of the price for way more, better, no-nonsense, good natured, in-and-out service. With warranty. (Sears' job was to be "As-is" for an older-ish appliance in excellent condition.) We're grateful, Daniil -

Whirlpool Refrigerator ( French Door, Bottom Freezer) Review…read more In February of 2020 our 25 year old refrigerator started to die so we went to Home Depot to buy a new one. We shopped around for a long while, looking online, in different stores and reading reviews. We picked out what we thought was a good purchase, a Whirlpool stainless steel french door with a bottom freezer appliance....we were wrong. It has lasted just about 7 months and now it's completely dead, the fridge just will not get cold nor will the freezer. It was under warranty so we called Whirlpool to have it repaired. The earliest they said they could have someone come out to just look at it was 8 days later! What if the repair person needs to order a part, then it will be an even longer wait. What is my family supposed to do till then? They said they use only one appliance repair company and they were booked. I find it ridiculous that a company as large as Whirlpool only uses one appliance company to handle repairs for the entire area. It is unacceptable that they expect their customers to go over a week without a refrigerator since their product was obviously a piece of crap to begin with. This is going to be a very costly week for my family. Customer service was very unhelpful throughout this process as well. We are extremely disappointed with Whirlpool and will NEVER be buying products from them again. I HIGHLY recommend buying your appliance from any other company. #whirpoolsucks #whirpoolcustomerreview #refrigeratordied

The arrival for the light for over the kitchen table was delayed. No problem. Today we had it installed. There are some blemishes on the light diffuser (the round disc on the bottom). My electrician pointed them out and suggested that I call the store and they would replace it. I called House of Lights to let them know, expecting a nice conversation and a replacement. A man named Mark answered. I have NEVER been so rudely treated. After he basically said that he did not believe me, accusing me of not using Windex or a Magic Eraser, I assured him that I had done both and offered to send him pictures. After receiving them, he called me back and told me that in his 40 years in the business, he had never had a problem and then told me that it was probably due to my using the Magic Eraser or Windex! After I pushed, he said he would swap it for one on the floor (just the round disc) but I would have to bring it in and I had better do it sooner rather than later! We live 40 miles away. I have never been talked to so rudely ( my husband heard it all on speaker and can verify). Clearly in his 40 years, Mark has never learned anything about customer service. I would highly recommend avoiding this store at all costs. If anything goes wrong with your order (from the manufacturer!) there will be no relief and a very rude response.
