Dr. Abbo is the TRUTH! So far he's performed three fillings and a crown on what was a BOTCHED crown from three years ago. He was recommended by my wife and man, this guy know's what he's doing. SUPER HONEST AND TO THE POINT! No BS coddling and everything will be okay, he tells you what needs to be done and I am thankful for that. Now, I do have to eventually get both my upper wisdom teeth extracted in the next month or so and I trust Dr. Abbo to take care of me. The front staff is excellent! Alex is also the TRUTH and is a wonderful person! She answered my questions and shared her experiences with Dr. Abbo, having work done by him. I know that I'm going to be in some level of aches and pains when I get these wisdom teeth removed, BUUUUT that is the name of the game. Wait and possibly get an infection OR remove them while I am still fairly young and be able to eat Thanksgiving dinner in two months? I'll choose the latter. Staff is always very courteous and professional, the office is very inviting. I actually look forward to my visits, everyone is so attentive and you never have to wait to be seen. The staffs are very punctual and patient, I've been late a few times and did not have any issues. My teeth and gums have never looked and feel so good. Thank for the continued amazing service. From the start of scheduling, the receptionist was courteous, and knowledgeable of insurance plans. She kept me aware of the process she was going to do and was very easy and happy to work with. When I went to into the office for my first visit the receptionist was there that I spoke on the phone and instantly had a smile on her face and greeted me by name. The wait time was pretty non existent. Lou came out to bring me in the room. Explained what was going to happen and quickly proceeded with X-rays, discussed the routine dental care as I was over due for a cleaning due to COVID. Cleaned my teeth without any pain and was informing me of little bleeding due to my medicine I was on. It was good to know she was aware of my medication and informed me of the situation in the future exams to take. Lou didn't over talk while working in my mouth asking me questions because we all know how hard it is to answer with your mouth being worked on! :-) she was fast and aware of my time to get me through everything without delay. The Dentist came in and was welcoming too! Reviewed my X-rays, even complemented my family dentist from years how he did a really great work on my teeth. He poked around, not painfully. He found a filing that needs a refilling as he explained the upcoming process to me. It was an easy and comfortable visit. My 6 month cleaning was scheduled in the room and my filling appt, the receptionist (I really need to remember her name again) will call me to schedule the filling appt. For my first visit at DavieAdvanced Dental, I can't say anything bad and not worried going back again. read more

Dr. Bill Abbo is unprofessional and dishonest. I went to see him in March, 2023 for a consultation because he is listed as my in network provider. He sent a pre-treatment estimate of the services to Metlife insurance company. The pre-estimate was for $490. The Metlife insurance company allowed him to charge me $178. This happens when dentists sign a contract with Metlife in order to be recommended to new patients. I confirmed the charges in writing with Mr. Abbo's office and with Metlife. Today, October 24th when I finally came to Mr. Abbo to get the work done he told me it does not matter to him what price was confirmed with anyone. He wanted to charge me $650 just to make a mock-up model of my mouth. So $178, all of a sudden, became $650. This practice is very dishonest. He wanted to be recommended by Metlife to new patients, but did not want to adhere to the contractual rates he agreed on. Shame on you for wasting my time, Mr. Abbo. read more

Went in there because this place had good reviews. I would never go back! I went in there with no pain, just a checkup. They told me $124 for two fillings. Side note: my wife went somewhere else and got 3 fillings for $75. After the fillings they charged me $224. They said they needed to provide more medication...not like I had a choice after they told me that after the procedure. It's been 4 days and now I feel pain. The dentist hit a nerve while I was numb and when I flinched she said "did you feel that?". I said yes. She said that was good, it mean it's not dead. When I called to ask about the pain, they said you need a route canal. So the extra money they charged me was for nothing because they didn't even fix the tooth, they actually made it worse. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where they are honest and know what they are doing. Nothing but excuses that make no sense. read more

I have an irrational fear of dentists so i had not been back to the dentist in a while. thankfully i found this place by a recommendation from a friend. Also, received at home a special flyer for a cleaning, exam and x rays, so i decided to go for it. It was easy to set up an appointment, front desk was friendly on the phone and nice to speak with. When i went in i was promptly greeted, given my paperwork to fill out and called into the room. My oral hygienist was extremely nice, friendly and knowledgeable and throughout. He did a very gently but nice cleaning and calmed my fears. Her name escapes me right now, but once i come back i will update my re Place was clean, well equipped and up to date. When the Dr came in for the check up , i was introduced and she was really nice. I'm happy that everything was easy, painless and she reported that i had no cavities and good teeth!. The whole experience was good i must say. This makes me not to be scared anymore and actually looking forward to my next cleaning in 6 months. read more

My husband went here for a few years. When JoAnn DiBella owned the business his experiences were good, however the new staff was less pleasant to deal with. Because he has issues with his gums, he needed to go for visits often. However, he was never advised of ways to take preventative care. In fact, I suggested that he purchase a water pic, which did help him to clean under his gums better and made subsequent visits a bit easier. I personally had a horrible experience when I took my daughter to this office. She had some problems with baby teeth that were literally attached by threads but weren't coming out. The dental assistant refused to allow me to go into the exam with my daughter, who was still quite young at the time. My daughter later told me they were scaring her with the language they were using when I wasn't in the room. This, in spite of the fact that I was vigorously berated for using the term extraction in relation to the teeth in question. A word my daughter said the dentist herself had used. When the exam was over, the same dental assistant spoke to me as though I was an abusive parent and made the situation seem very dire (it was not). My daughter was actually disagreeing with what this incredibly rude woman was saying but she talked right over her, telling me that my daughter couldn't eat (untrue) and that she couldn't believe I'd waited to see if her teeth would come out. Like I wouldn't notice if my daughter was having pain when eating. They then told me it would cost $1,000.00 to wiggle the baby teeth out and tried to shame me when I said I needed to consult with my husband. Honestly, if a person can't speak to parents with the same respect being directed to her, she should find a line of work outside the public sphere. Flash forward about a week: I chose a different dentist, this one in Hollywood. They checked my daughter (and had no problem with me being in the room- they encouraged it) and advised that we should keep trying to get the baby teeth out (so much for the "dire emergency"). When we still couldn't get the teeth out comfortably (one actually came out but the others did not) we went back to the office and the dentist popped them off. The charge was less than HALF the amount the other office wanted to charge and there was zero drama during the process. The staff was kind and gentle and they became our dentist until we moved north last year. I would NEVER recommend Davie Advanced Dentistry to anyone. I don't know who the dental assistant thought she was speaking to but it's obvious that they care more about making a buck than being respectful and caring to their patients. And they definitely made a lot of money off my husband. He didn't love them but didn't want to have to find another dentist. Before we moved he'd been planning to switch to another office. It was all I could do not to tell the hygienist and the receptionist off. I'm grateful that we found a better office in Hollywood (Dr. Total), where my daughter and I had a much better experience. I travel from Boynton Beach to Davie to go to the best darn dental office there is..Lou is such a gentle, but thorough and efficient hygienist ever. The office staff is friendly and good at their jobs..they have up to date equipment and know how to use it. Dr D is a perfectionist and experienced.
