This was my first visit to this dentist and it did not disappoint! I recently left the office I had been going to for years after the practice was sold and it felt too commercialized. Everyone in this office made me feel so welcome and like they truly cared about me as a patient. Multiple staff members asked what brought me to them and really made an effort to make sure I was comfortable. After meeting the dentist and having a wonderful cleaning with Lisa, this will definitely be my new home for dentist needs. Dr. Michael is simply the best dentist in South Florida, and his staff is equally amazing. After moving here six years ago from out West, I struggled to find a good dentist. So many practices in South Florida overstate needed work, charge double or triple the average, and use high-pressure tactics--it often feels like a used car dealership. Having had the same trusted dentist from childhood into adulthood, I'd almost given up on finding a place that is conservative, transparent, fairly priced, and uses the latest technology. I also wanted a practice where every service is comfortable, appointments are easy to get, the work is skilled, and the staff is professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Michael's office is all of that and more. I went in with serious anxiety and left feeling happy and ready to address issues I'd been ignoring. From my first call, Ana and Maggie at the front desk were wonderful. Erin prepared a detailed insurance breakdown in minutes with minimal hassle--they are truly the sweetest administrative team around. My hygienist, Dara, was attentive, caring, and genuinely talented. Even the hygienist who assisted during my filling and temporary crown placement (whose name I regretfully forgot) was fantastic. And Dr. Michael himself combines great skill with a conservative approach, carefully balancing my preferences with my dental needs. I really can't recommend this office highly enough. She listened to where I was sensitive and communicated so well about what she would do. Amazing practitioner. My wife and I have been going here for years and we both think they do an excellent job. We both use the same hygenist and she is very thorough. Since I use insurance, I haven't really had to pay any extra fees (until recently). They are very transparent in any extra costs and they explain what will not be covered by insurance. They send texts for appointment reminders. I like how if they have any earlier appointments (usually the day of your appointment), they call/text and ask if you can come in earlier. Even if I can't change my appointment time, I still like the option to do so. We will both keep using them. read more

I do not usually write reviews, but I felt this was necessary. The office staff is warm and smiling. Start off with DR. JENNIFER, primary consultation she quotes me thirty-five thousand dollars! Wait I came for a bridge or a crown NOT to buy a new car though I thought some of the tactics were that of a used car salesman. After I explained that the price was out of budget for now and if we could start with a section of my mouth which was a priority. Attitudes changed after that request from warm to indifferent. After treatment plan was drawn up and summited to office manager (Maggie) I was told it would be summited to insurance and if I would post a five-star review. I called once a week and spoke to Nila and was assured it was sent to insurance. Three weeks later insurance has no record of ANY communication with Kocher Dentistry! In closing don't let the smiles fool you. Take my advice, in my opinion they deserve less than one star. read more

If you need an extraction Dr. Pike is your man. Best experience I've had with an extraction! I was pretty nervous and he did it in 5 minutes. He patience level is top notch and he is extremely gentle. The office ladies are super sweet and professional. Everyone there including the dentists are great. I see Dr. Jennifer Kocher. She is amazing, I'm not the easiest patient but she is very patient (how punny) with me and does great work. Her office has an "at home" ambience and I feel very comfortable there. You'll be in great hands with her and I would put money on her husband Michael's care as well (even though I've been treated by only her). The staff is informative and kind. I really am glad I came to these guys--no big "team" of dentists that overcharge you for services you don't need or try to gouge you with "treatments." They are straight up!! She actually just started me on Invisalign and I can't wait to see the results. The entire staff is very professional and friendly. Okay, let's be honest. Nobody likes going to the dentist. At Kocher and Kocher they make the experience pleasurable. Booking appointments are a breeze as the receptionist is very friendly and knowledgeable. They remind you about your appointment a week, then the day before. When you arrive, they give you a warm greeting you and the office is very nice and has a nice relaxed feel. They honor appointment times and see you within 5 minutes of that time. We all know dentist where they double and triple book and you're not seem until a while after. The staff and Dr. Kocher are amazing. She was so nice and pleasant and really broke down my treatment plan for me to understand. She sat down and talked to me and helped me decide what I wanted the plan of services to be. She was not pushy and understood my finances. My first visit was great, and i thought it could be a fluke, but my second visit was just as acceptional. This is the place to go even if you have to drive a bit to get there....well worth it! Lets just say I did not have the best dentist practicing on me prior to finding Kocher & Kocher. Dr. Jen is very professional listens with out interrupting, answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed. Oh yeah and she is very easy on the eyes! I went there in a LOT of PAIN. I decided to try and find a new dentist because I was tired of all the high pressure sales tactics my old place kept pushing on me. This office came highly recommended by several people in my neighborhood, so I decided to give it a try. The office staff were super nice, very helpful and very professional when I called to get signed up as a new patient. So far, so good . . . when I arrived for my appointment, again the front office staff were great so I felt good about the experience. But it all went down hill from there. I was "assigned" to a hygenist who was going to do my x-rays and cleaning etc. before the dentist sees me. I went to great lengths to explain to both the front office staff and the hygenist, that I have some gum recession and VERY sensitive teeth in parts of my mouth, and getting them de-scaled can be a really painful process for me. The hygenist, who was an older lady, just didn't seem to care, and did nothing to try and make the process even slightly more comfortable. She was agressive and wouldn't stop or slow down even when I asked her to. She just shrugged and said "Well it needs to be done!". She just acted like I was inconveniencing her and preventing her from doing her job! I tried to stick it out but she was hurting me so much in the end I had to ask her to stop. After that the dentist came in to the room, and she was complaining to him that she wasn't able to complete my cleaning because I wasn't letting her! The dentist was also largely unsympathetic and didn't seem interested in finding a way to make the process more tolerable. He looked in my mouth for about 1 minute and then said, "OK you're good, no cavaities, see you in six months", and that was that! I refuse to believe that they never get people with sensitivity, and have no way to help mitigate the pain that goes with it. I've been to other dentists who were really good with that, and based on all the glowing reviews for this place I expected better. The hygenist was just a miserable old lady who needs to retire. Needless to say, I won't be going back there again, so it's back to the drawing board to find a place where they actually care! The two star rating is just for the friont office staff. Zero stars for this office. Not because of the Dr, she is nice and professional. The front desk people are the worst. They called insurance to get pre approval of wrong codes of dentures. The upgrated dentures were covered so they had to do two dentures for my husband. I just got billed for a two no show appointments. These appointments were for my husband but they actually bill me!!! The bills show no description so I called and she was very rude and had an attitude... what is normal for them.. always rude with attitude.. btw if I did not have experience with billing codes and insurance they tired to lie and say that certain codes were not covered, then I called the insurance and had a three way call. Made them rebill and do the preapproval again. Worst experience ever. I really hope the Drs see this. They are loosing a whole family as patients, because of the people in the front desk. I will continue to post reviews here and on every social media so people know what they are getting into!! Also the no show appointments are fake billing, they call the day before to confirm and that's when my husband rescheduled the appointments. Not the same day! Again DO NOT GO THERE!! As soon as you walk in you will see their ugly faces and k ow what I am talking about. Your review history will be a nightmare, you messed with the incorrect person! It does not matter how good is the Dr, if they try to scam you with your insurance and benefits and bill you for fake charges then you think twice right? I was referred to this dentist by my aunt and hands down, extremely happy that I decided to give a it a try. They are amazing in literally every area that I have experienced personally. At this point, I've received multiple cleanings, a whitening as well as 3 veneers and a crown replacement. Everything has been exceptional. Honest, just the way I like my dentists! I've been a patient of Dr. Michael for probably 4-5 years now and hopefully for the foreseeable future. He is efficient and I always feel as though he is being honest which has not always been the case with dentists. If you're afraid of the dentist, don't be. This practice is by far the most state of the art, professional, happy, and positive place to go and get your teeth taken care of. My partner had to have a deep cleaning today, which entailed numerous shots (10+)for numbing, she never felt them, and that was just the right side that was worked on today. I wanted to find a dentist nearby and it just so happen that Kocher dentistry is literally walking distance from where I live. How convenient! I read up on their reviews and figured they where worth a try. (I was overdue for my cleaning.) I got there a little early knowing that they would have to fill out some forms being that I was a first time patient. Soon enough I was taken into one of their rooms to take X-rays and was seen by the doctor. He definitely took his time looking through my X-rays and examined everything very gently. And music to my ears, everything look good and I was really for my cleaning. They had me walk into another room where I was greeted by my wonderful hygienists. There was just someone about her that I liked and I knew I was in good hand. I dunno if it was her energy but we definitely worked well together. Throughout my cleaning, she made me feel beyond comfortable and took her time. "I want to get to know your month" she kept saying. I was very satisfied and will be returning, in 6 months to be exact! I had a slip and fall accident at Starbucks and the fall chipped and broke off my tooth and completely destroyed it. I am represented by a law firm and I contacted this dentist office to help with my tooth pain and problems associated this serious accident and fall. I made my appointment and the offices contacted my legal firm representing me and made an appointment for me. The following day this dental office called me back and said they could not go through with this appointment because they want payment as soon as services as rendered. You would think this dental office would be sympathetic to someone who was injured and hurt badly but no. They only care about the money and have no compassion whatsoever. They would have gotten paid as all my medical bills will be paid for by Starbucks. Please do yourself a favor and do not use this dental office! They have shown to me they only care about what money they can get out of you and not about the patient care whatsoever. I even told them I was in pain due to this fall and broken tooth. If you're worried, nervous, have anxiety, want a humble sweet office who is HONEST and knows you on a first name basis-this is them! Not a bad place if don't mind being over charged for your copayments. Everything seemed fine until my wife needed a root canal last year. All the procedures were done and we paid the copays that the office manager stated we owed. Then we received a bill for several hundred dollars for the services rendered for the root canal and a regular visit that was covered 100% because I have two insurance plans for dental. I reviewed my insurance claims statements and I noticed that all my copays were overcharged by the office manager. Granted that I should have educated myself on my copay responsibilities and asked for an itemized statement prior to the procedures. I have contacted their office every time that I receive a bill and have gotten the proverbial answer, the office manager is busy, and she will call you back. This issue has been going on for over 9 months. The fact of the matter is that when I add up all of my actual copay responsibilities per my insurance claims and then subtract it from my payments, they owe me money. This and the poor office management to resolve simple account issues is the reason I gave a poor rating. You have been warned, keep an eye on your copays. read more
