We needed 2 small pieces of glass cut to replace windows in a curio. I drove by the storefront on Griffin Road in Davie and asked my husband to call and order the 2 glass panels. He waited about a month to call; but asked me to go pick it up when it was ready since I work in Davie. I called to see how late they were open and it said 5:00. I drove to where I had seen their office before, but there was nothing on the door. I looked up their website and called at about 4:40 pm on a Tuesday. The woman who answered the phone said that they had moved offices recently and gave me the new address which is in Weston. I told her I was going to drive over really quickly and I might get there about five minutes late. She told me that she was not going to wait for me. I asked if anyone else would be there and she said no quite abruptly. I decided to come back two days later. I put the address into my GPS. There were several rows of warehouses so I called the number again and I talked to the same, rather unfriendly woman. I asked if they were in the warehouses, and she said yes, close to the main street. I drove all around the buildings looking for a sign that said Davie Glass and Mirror. I couldn't find any sign and no suite number was given. I called the same number again and asked the woman if there was a suite number. She told me it was Suite 200; I don't know why she did not give me the number either of the two previous times I called. It was still quite hard to find because there was just a small 200 on the front. (Hardly visible from the parking area.) When I finally found the right building and went inside I gave my name and the woman working reception went and got my 2 pieces of glass. She was just as unfriendly and abrupt in person as she was on the phone. The glass wasn't wrapped very securely, no packaging other than some plastic wrap around the edges. (I was worried they would break on the drive home since there wasn't any type of box or bag.) They did make it home safely and were actually cut perfectly. The glass was a little pricey but the quality was good. Overall we were satisfied with the product from Davie Glass and Mirror but the level of customer service left a lot to be desired. read more

Funny when I was driving a brand new Genesis and owned a home in Woodlands Country Club, I had NO ISSUES whatsoever with small businesses. However, due to messy break up with my ex (an attorney), I am driving old car & perhaps let myself go a bit due to depression. I walked into this business around 3:30 p.m. today and was treated like a homeless person. The woman sat typing and told me it would be a minute. I waited. I asked if I could get 4" cut off a piece of 4' x 3' piece of glass. It was clear she had ZERO interest in helping me - she immediately said "we don't do that here" (at a glass business!). What happened to small businesses helping people? Unless she saw huge dollar signs or I pulled up in a Hummer or Lexus, she had absolutely ZERO interest in helping. When I asked if she knew another place....nope. None. The rudeness was so obvious I still can't stop thinking about it. I have NO doubt a worker making min wage in the back would have been more than happy to receive cash for a favor. Its disgusting. Get over yourself. Your friend at the auto glass place on 441 near SR 84 told me to go to you after I went there first. I drove all the way out to you because HE REFERRED ME. My SUGGESTION? Use BLISS GLASS where they're GRATEFUL to HAVE CUSTOMERS with motto "no job too big or too small" & have been in business longer and no doubt cheaper. Happy Passover. read more

It was a large and complicated job that involved a lot of logistical heavy-lifting to navigate the problems of installing in a working airport and they met the challenge wonderfully. I brought in a piece of glass to duplicate for my fixture. It came back with the incorrect glass and incorrect holes on the glass. When I brought it in initially they said they were able to duplicate it but it came back incorrectly. I brought it back to remake.... the owner was extremely rude and yelling at me and telling me that he's not going to lose money on trying to send it out again and and it's not his fault and they cannot do it. He did refund my money but he was absolutely inappropriate and the rudest customer service I have experienced. I typically do not write bad reviews but this deserved it. I also coach businesses on customer service training I think he needs a refresher course! read more

Very slow, and expensive. I've used them twice in the last 2 months against my better judgement because they are closer to me. Both times I ordered a simple piece of replacement glass to be cut. In both cases 2-3 week to receive it. Most local glass company's can cut glass the same day or have it for you the next day. Save you time and energy and go somewhere else. I hired Davie Glass to custom make and install a frame-less enclosure for my shower. 1. took over a month to deliver a product that they said would take "a week to 10 days" to be delivered and installed. They kept blaming their supplier when ultimately they are the ones responsible to me. 2.After the product was installed,I called them because the door hits a corner of the shower when fully open and I am concerned it can shatter (the door opens more than 90 degrees and stops with the corner). I wanted to see if there is something that can be done to prevent the door from opening more than 90 degrees. They were so rude tome...the owner raised his voce and told me to "stop talking". After at first denying that there is anything that can be done, the owner then told me there is a part that can fix the problem but refused to come and install it. read more

I ordered by phone with no problem, very nice gentleman. A woman called me to advise that it was ready (two days later) and was also very nice. I had a pleasant experience. The problem came at the time of pick up. My husband went alone and dealt a woman there that he felt was sharp and rude. He said "Hello, I'm. . ." and she cut him off and questioned "Name?". He wanted to explain he was picking up for me, but she would not allow him the courtesy. Once again, she interrupted and barked "NAME?"! Another incident occured that she snapped at him and said he could not follow her behind the counter to check on the glass. He was not taking a step forward or making any motion toward her. At some point, he was really upset and raised his voice that he had no intention of invading the store! My husband is Colombian. It was his thought that she assumed he was a contractor and therefore could be treated abruptly and discourteously with no consequence. read more

Excellent service the lady at the counter answered every question I had to replace window panes in existing windows wasn't sure of the measurements technician came out Help me figure out if my measurements were correct. Ordered the glass in the morning,lady at the counter told me it would be a few days you call me back that afternoon May glass was ready. It was cut very professionally packaged with spaces in between each pane had a very pleasant experience would recommend them over and over again. read more

I ordered a replacement glass piece to serve as a table top for my kitchen table. When I arrived to pick it up the clerk brought out the glass, however the glass was not boxed or wrapped up in anything. The glass is was heavy and not easy to pick up . The only help offered was to open the front door for me. How do you not wrap up or box up a fragile item like a glass piece? I felt almost as if it was desired for me to drop the glass so I would have to buy another one. I got the feeling where it was almost like good luck getting it home in one piece. To say the the least I was not impressed with the pickup experience on top of having to take off work to pick up it up since there are unfortunately no weekend hours. I am just at a total loss how your company is based on making glass and mirror pieces yet you don't package or wrap them up for protection. The other reviews are definitely accurate. Plus with there being no weekend hours it seems the company is more concerned about work life balance than running a successful and profitable business. There would be a higher customer base if there was at least a small window open on Saturday mornings! I would give this place zero stars if I could! read more

I made a template for a glass tabletop from a plaid vinyl tablecloth, cut it out carefully & it fit my table precisely. When I brought it in to Davie Glass, the lady behind the counter repeatedly insisted it was crooked. I told her that although the plaid pattern was askew, it didn't matter. She needed to disregard the design on the tablecloth & just look at the shape of the 2 pieces & the extension which fit my table perfectly. She became rude & agitated, insisting I purchase a large roll of paper, remake the template on plain paper without a pattern & then return. Ultimately, I brought my template to another glazier who charged about 1/2 the amount & it fits perfectly. Whatever happened to good customer service? They are not the same. read more

Wow...words are difficult to find that adaquetly describe the horrible customer service and poor quality work that I received. I brought them an exact template for a custom 1/4 inch piece of clear flat glass...nothing complicated...just a roughly 32 x 17 inch rectangle to fit on top of a desk with a recessed edge. I was very specific with instructions, to include writing them on the template and explaining in detail to the customer service rep...the template was exact and the glass was to be cut as per the template or up to a tolerance of +1/16 inch on each side...explicit instructions not to undercut the glass were left and assurances made by the customer service rep that all would be well and taken care of...paid in full on day of order ($38+ after receiving a phone quote of $28)...glass was ready 3 days later as I was promised. When I picked the glass up, two sides were undercut by 1/16 inch. This was brought to the attention of a different CSR that was assisting me. She thought it was fine and asked the assistance and opinion of a technician. He conceded that the glass was cut under size, but he insisted that they only cut to size or slightly under. I stated "that would have been good information to know before ordering" and it was certainly not what I was sold or promised. The female CSR asked me to take the glass home to see if it would fit and I acquiesced after her promise that if it doesn't fit that they will make it right. She insisted that they wanted me happy...the glass doesn't fit...it was not cut according to my simple and clear instructions...phone calls to remedy the situation have resulted with the same CSR hanging up on me twice then not answering the phone...I have left a voice mail for the owner/manager with my concerns. We will see what comes of this fiasco...it is time for Davie glass to make good on their promised and paid for work. A properly sized piece of glass as per my order and an apology should be forthcoming...to be continued. Out of luck in South Florida read more

Awful! Highly unprofessional and end product way below par. I have since learned that the current owners took over from very competent people and are still riding on the reputation the previous owners established ... Do not fall for this! I created my own template meticulously, and the glass I received was wavy. (This is to cover a piece of furniture that has a bowed front - the glass came out with a wavy curve). Of course my template is the excuse but not only did I absolutely make it perfectly, any other glass cutter would nonetheless create a perfect curve. It's like when you use a compass Vs drawing an arc by hand. They did their work by hand ... And it appears as though their hand was very unsteady. This isn't even the end of it .. I was called to pick up my glass, if I needed any of their workers to assist I needed to be there between 8:00-9:00 (rush hour) so I opted to bring a friend. When we get there we find out that a huge glass weighing a lot is blocking mine... And asked if I could come back. How professional is this? Never mind that I travelled 1/2 hr (one way). I needed to return at a later day to retrieve my order, even though it was ready and they had called me and told me to come anytime. Never again. read more
