Went here because it was a PTO fundraising night and if it weren't for that we would have demanded a full refund for our meal. To be clear, the restaurant was less than half full the entire hour we were there. We ordered meals for our family of 6. And only 1 out of 6 meals wasn't missing at least half of the components. The meals came out a full 10 minutes apart from each other. My husband's philly cheesesteak did not come with the fries he ordered. And just one of our orders had the garlic bread that was supposed to come with them. We mentioned this and were promised they would get right on it. 20 more minutes passed with no fries or garlic bread. We spoke kindly to them again and they said, "there's no order for fries." We showed our receipt and asked for our fries and garlic bread for a third time. 15 minutes later and our garlic bread arrived. NO FRIES. We finally just left the restaurant since my husband had finished his sandwich literally 30-40 minutes ago at that point and still no fries. We quietly just got up to go and a worker ran after us with a to-go container of very oily and COLD FRIES and a $15 gift certificate for a future visit. We tore it up. I went this evening to DaVinci's and waited an hour for them to make a hoagie and some bread. Absolutely ridiculous. The two poor guys out front are sweating because their A/C is broke, and TWO other customers came back in saying their orders were messed up during my time waiting. Manager came out to give me my order and said he'd refund my ticket which was nice. Still seems like they have no idea what they're doing back in that kitchen. Thought the one thing I could rely on during a pandemic is a quick hoagie, guess I'll be heading somewhere else next time. Decent food--poor service. read more

I have never been disappointed by DaVinci's until today, but it may be my fault as much as the restaurant. I ordered the beef and pepperoni Cheese steak without onions and black pepper. I didn't realize how much pepper adds flavor. However, so does pepperoni which was missing in action. 8/21/20. Dinner time. We asked the server if they could turn off the TV or change the channel from CNN. She refused. At least she didn't refuse our request for (ahem) plates, napkins and even a spatula with which to eat the pizza that we ordered to stay. We were the only people "dining in" yet we were forced to listen to CNN. There is a lot of mediocre pizza in town. You'd think that the servers could turn off the racket if the only customers eating in the store would make such a simple request. I think we'll take a break from this location for a while. I have always loved daVinci's but have moved away. I try to eat here every time I come to Lincoln. In the last couple of months I have been able to dine at the 48th Street store about 8 times. daVinci's has always been a major treat for me and my family because we live so far away. Not sure why but out of the 8 times at least 5 of them the food had been awful. Either not toasted or missing ingredients or completely cold. The only thing I order is the vegetarian hoagie. In addition to the taste the service has been more than lacking. Even though there were no other customers (or maybe 1 or 2) we had to wait a long time for our food. None of it was special order all ordered just like on the menu. I think I will try a different location but if it does not improve I will have to give up eatting at my favorite place and that will be a sad day. Best Pizza and Cheesesteaks in Lincoln bar none, they deliver and it's locally owned! They have awesome pizza but the Philly cheese steak steal the show. Why I love it: 1. The dough is cooked to perfection in the oven. Not to soft or chewy, but not to crispy. It's just right. 2. The sauce is traditional and not so sweet like Vals which I don't like. 3. The selection is amazing and every month they feature the pizza of the month making it a great deal like a supreme or 5 meat for only $11. 4. Oh and the double pepperoni and cream cheese pizza is so good it might make you never eat anything else again. 5. Local ingredients. I know they buy their bread from Nebraska bakers. 6. The Philly Cheese steak are awesome and you can get them with onions mushrooms and peppers and they deliver. Sooooo good. read more

I should have taken a little more time considering how I wanted my sandwich. I didn't get as much cheese as the last time so I'm not sure where the error was. Ordered by phone for pickup. They said it will be twenty minutes. I arrived in 25... they said it will be about another 20 minutes. I complained. DaVinci's is really good. First restaurant experience in Nebraska flying from the West Coast. I wasn't disappointed, I got the pasta and was surprised to see a delicious layer of cheese on top. This Da Vinci's location is much better than the one on S 29th St & Pine Lake Rd. (The one at 11th & G is also better than Pike Lake.) The food comes out sooner, it's cleaner, and orders more often are served correct. When you ask for and pay for hamburger on your baked mastocolli, you get it. There seems to be a lack of consistency between locations. So I'd recommend this one over Pine Lake in terms of services & food quality. All of them, however, could clean their high chairs & booster seats more often, if they've been cleaned at all. read more

I usually enjoy daVinci's, and would recommend their pasta bakes. However, I recently decided to expand my experience by adding a salad to my order. As I opened my delivery order, I was appalled to see that my dressing (1000 Island) was not in the bag. Even worse, I was given a different dressing...Dorothy Lynch! First, I would NEVER order a product promoted by Jim Rose (Oh Doctor!). Da Vinci's is very consistent with their service-whether you are in there by yourself or family. Slow, slow & slow but the food is good! My order is steak hoagie & chicken hoagie a full order and split half & half with my friend. Only when you order the hoagie with all the extra then the hoagie is full to the edge of the bun otherwise the last 1 1/2 of the bun is hardly fill with the meat of your choice unless you are ordering vegetarian hoagie.
