I was dealing with lifter issues on my vehicle, which can be stressful and confusing, but Dana made the entire process much easier. From the moment I arrived, Dana made sure he was keeping me informed and making sure I understood what was going on with my truck. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care about getting my issue resolved the right way. Customer service like this is hard to find especially in Houston. I had my son"s towed to Davis Chevrolet on Saturday I spoke with service department specialist Dana Lewis, he informed me that they wouldn't be able to do a diagnostic on my vehicle until Monday (no problem). So today after I reached out to them for an update at after 3:00 he informed me that my car hadn't been serviced yet, ok cool no problem there either. I then get a text an hour later stating that the diagnosis has been completed and Dana from Davis Chevy. The pcv ( positive crankcase ventilation valve ) is complete clogged on your vehicle. It causes back pressure into the motor which will cause it to stall out when the pressures get to high and to repair it would be $6145.49. I informed him that that is not in my budget and that I would be on my way to pick up the car. He then tell me that he'll let me know when the car will be ready...ready for what? So I get to the service department and I go to Dana's booth right away I notice his unwelcoming demeanor as if he's upset that he has to service me or that I'm coming to pick up my car. After several attempts to engage in a conversation I ask several time where's my car and how do I get to it? He says " it's in the back and it won't drive and you can't go back there until the tow truck comes " that is a lie because the car does drive but anyways so the tow truck shows up and so now we're heading to the "back" where my car is. We heading in the entrance (in the back) it's a U shape so it's one way in and of course another way out you would think. So we get to the car start it up pull it on the tow bed, and are headed for the exit. The guy informs us that the driver has to go back out the same way he came in which is absolutely ridiculous because of all of the vehicles parked in the U shaped parking lot and no way to back out and turn around. So after helping to guide the tow truck driver out of this tight space IN REVERSE!!!!!, we get to the gate and the people has locked in the gate with everyone gone for the day. After yelling and finally seeing an employee to put in his code to let us out we leave. I've bought a lot of vehicles in my life I currently own 4 vehicles. I WILL NEVER EVER STEP FOOT ON THAT ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN FOR ANYTHING. I felt like I was treated like I was a second class citizen with a huge racial undertone. Because I don't want to spend 6k at your dealership doesn't make me any less of a man. If you are looking for great customer service please go elsewhere because this is not it. My car is in the shop for the second time in 60 days. A brand new vehicle that is barely over 30, 000 miles... I digress! I got a loaner vehicle on Thursday November 21, 2024 now I won't discuss how inconvenient it is for me to take off work, have an appointment and still sit in the service center for close to 6 hours. I was informed that they did not know what was wrong but they would get it figured out. Let me go on notice saying, I HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. They have always been nice and always kept me up to date. Is the process long, YES, but I am in Houston solo so I have no choice. I can't just drop off my vehicle and go. I live close to the Woodlands so they don't offer a ride home either. Nevertheless I get a loaner vehicle and on Tuesday November 26 around 4pm, I get a call from the loaner department stating my car was ready and I could come and get it. I asked for him to tell me what was wrong and he knew nothing which is bothersome, of course I would have questions...that's a given. So someone calls me back immediately from service, explains everything and I am good to go.....my problem is..... Y'all call me one hour before the close of business, I do not have a job where I can just walk in and tell my boss that I am taking the morning or the day off so I am at work November 27th and around 10:45am I get a call from Dan and he states that he needed an ETA on when I would be bringing the loaner back and I stated I was gonna try to get there before the close of business today. He didn't ask any questions, wasn't concerned, had no empathy, didn't try to see what the issue was, did not see if there was a solution to my issue.... His response, was There is no trying, you better get here and I immediately stopped him and asked what his name was and a number that I could call him back because I had someone in my office. I called him back about 15 minutes later and explained how unprofessional it was for him to tell me what I better do and he went on to say that I was going to lose my deposit, that is why he said that... I again explained that he was unprofessional and at that point, so was I. It really is a shame that Davis Chevrolet does not do a better job at making an effort to be more understanding of the customer. Stop listening to just your employees side of everything and call return the calls to the customer and get their side of the story as well....after all there are 2 sides. read more

Id make it 4.5 only for the price but to me the service is A+. I regularly bring my vehicle here for oil changes and have also brought it here for tune ups. Major services have included a new battery and a new radiator. I travel a lot so I'm not always able to pick it up right away. They keep it safe in their back lot and usually give it a wash down for me and have even vaccines it for me. Davis Chevrolet will take advantage of you, Buyers Beware! Avoid and find a more reputable dealership! My review is based truly off of my current real-life experience. I was looking for a used Jeep, so I contacted the salesman Jose Niño, who I thought was a friend, to help me find a great deal. Let me know they had just gotten a jeep in as a trade-in and asked if I wanted to look at it. Once I arrived, it had not been processed yet. It was in the back and I really liked it. So of course, I was told if I didn't act now, the jeep would be processed over the weekend, and by Monday it would be sold from under me. Typical salesman tactics, unfortunately they worked and I went ahead and processed my sale. The dealer wanted to finance at an unacceptable rate, so I financed through my bank and purchased an extended warranty. We thought everything was quick and great...$12,000 later we were very wrong! The following has happened before my first payment was even due, which shows the timeline. A week into owning my jeep, I noticed it was taking a lot of gasoline, which I thought because of larger tires would've been the issue. Then a couple days later I noticed a lag and acceleration. This led to coming to a complete stop one morning while driving to work due to a flashing check engine light. I had to have it towed to the nearest Jeep dealer. After being given an evaluation by the service team, things were not adding up, and I was told by their service advisors that the damage with the jeep is not consistent with damage that would've happened in the time span that I have owned it. I immediately reached out to Davis Chevrolet and have only had "we will get back to you" or Voicemail. I have had several conversations with the salesman Mr. Niño who has not been helpful and blames me for not financing with them or purchasing the dealers extended warranty. It should not matter who I finance with. It is clear that due to the quick turnaround with the sale. I suspect they failed to do any of the 100 point inspections that were necessary. Most likely they would have found those issues like a bent axle, among other issues with the engine and motor and sent it to auction! Davis Chevrolet and Mr Niño, saw that we really liked the vehicle and they took advantage of that situation. We have called the owner and left various voice messages, and everything is falling on deaf ears and they are not willing to budge or help us in anyway. We were simply another sale to them! The extended warranty purchased through our bank has denied our claim, stating that damage appears to be preexistent to our ownership of the vehicle. This aligns with the inspection report from our service advisor. So now we have to get our bank, that technically owns the vehicle, involved to fight for the damage to be fixed. This has been a very frustrating process, and the only way to warn others of the lack of professionalism, help or communication from Davis Chevrolet is by leaving this review. As I stated before, all of this has happened before even giving my first payment. So, warning to anyone wanting to shop with a reputable dealership, I avoid Davis Chevrolet and look somewhere else! Terrible service, brought my truck in after I replaced the ecm(computer) needed the truck reprogrammed, was told that they needed to change the connector because it didn't hook down in the ecm, I ask if it could be rigged in and was told no way and it was 1200.00. Well a week later I got a call back informing me that the ecm connection was messed up also (same connection point) but they could rig it in there. So for 1 week and 1200.00 (originally 185.00 to reprogram ecm) ( 70.00 for connector 1100.00 labor) they still rigged the ecm connector, I wouldn't recommend Davis Chevolet Service to anyone, read more

I purchased a new 2023 Silverado Crew Cab there on Thursday, 2/9/2023. The salesman's name was Chris Okanta, and I would give him an unqualified recommendation. I went in to look at a truck I had seen advertised online, and asked to drive it. I liked it, I wanted it, but there were over $3k in dealer add-ons. I told Chris if they would kill the add-ons, and sell for the advertised price, I would buy it. He went to talk to his manager, and 5 minutes later we had a deal. I actually got a slightly better deal, as the web page had not been updated with the factory incentives for February, which were slightly better than the ones for the preceding month. I want to also give a shout out to Marvin. I purchased my 2019 Chevy Traverse on May 14, 2022. Since this purchase it's been in the shop a total of five times. This is supposed to be a certified car, but how can it be when it has a TCC Shudder Surge Fishbite Chuggle issue that they knew about. It seems Chevrolet/ GMC has known about this issue since 2021 and has not come up with a solution to fixing this issue. I have contacted GM in regards to this issue and have been given the run around for the last two weeks. I Also spoke with the General Manager at the dealership of purchase, and they refuse to help me even though my SUV is under warranty still. Only for him to come back and say that I was not approved. He didn't even try to run through a bank, he just decided to not help. WARNING. If there is a particular car you want, I would have several dealerships in mind before settling for this place. I saw a car online I wanted for my daughter. It was priced to value. Francisco helped us out and I have NO complains about his!! The car had not been "serviced" so I was not going to be able to buy it that day which was fine. I also was not needed financing. We drew up the sales order. I did not want the "extra items" which totaled an additional $3,000. Francisco went to get the deal approved and the Used car manager, RJ Melchor, would not sell me the car because I didn't want to buy the extra stuff. The car did not even have the extra stuff installed yet and what they are trying to sell is not worth the price charged. The value of the vehicle would not be worth the price they were trying to sell it to me at. The unprofessional part was RJ Melchor didn't even have the decency to come and speak to me directly and explain anything. I had to go to him and ask why? He walked away from a deal (wire transfer in full) because I didn't want to buy something that he wanted me to buy. He denied a sell/commission for Francisco as well. RJ Melchor demeanor and lack of professionalism was disgusting for someone in the sales profession. I had left another dealership the day prior and they had the floor manager and dealership manager come speak to me (didn't buy a car there because they didn't have what I wanted). The way they handled things vs. how RJ Melchor handled things was night and day. Yes, I will never buy a car from here and I will discourage my friends, family and clients to avoid this place. I'm sure my business is not going to make or break them but be aware of the up sell and being forced to buy something that really isn't needed (do your research regarding those items). Dealing with Davis Chevrolet was far and away the worst experience I have ever had buying anything from anyone anywhere in my life. These people are not your friends. They are not your family. You owe them nothing because they smiled when you walked through the door. I feel you need to be made aware of some things when doing business with this dealership. Watch your salesman. He may deduct anything you negotiate off the price of the vehicle out of your rebate. Then he can run to the management office for approval and return to the desk to show you a piece of paper that has a lower price for the vehicle but cover the rest of the page with his hand hoping that you won't notice that the total purchase price of the vehicle is the same. My dealer never sat down during the buying process. I believe his goal was to create a sense of urgency. It's an old trick but it can be effective. Please understand this, they have a whole cast of characters there to make you feel as though they are all working FOR you as opposed to AGAINST you. It is all a show. Pure theater. Just focus on the bottom line at all times or you will overpay. That's their goal. If you must purchase from them, take your own team with you. Maybe one of you will catch something on the paperwork that the other doesn't see. They push non-General Motors products as a way to increase their profits and tell you that they cannot be removed.(see attached picture) My salesman spoke to me like I was supposed to know that the price of the vehicle was going to be packed with things that aren't listed anywhere on the website. It was truly insulting. Some examples of products include: Brake Plus - which is a kit that makes your tail light blink a few extra times when you stop. Guidepoint, a 3rd party GPS tracking system that is redundant because most of their vehicles come equipped with OnStar & AutoShield, which is just a paint and interior protection package. Beware of this last product because it cannot be removed/refunded at a later date and, in the future, you won't have any proof that the vehicle has been protected, other than the documentation that shows that you paid for it. That might not do you much good when you sell or trade your vehicle. If you see value in their offerings, buy them. Otherwise, tell them to order you a vehicle without their "upgrades" or you will walk on the deal. If you finance through the dealership, the finance guy is probably going to immediately show you a price that includes an extended warranty that you may, or may not, have requested as soon as you walk into his office. No discussion - No explanations - Just here' is a price bigger than what you discussed with the salesman. It is going to raise your total purchase price and subsequently, your monthly payment & total interest paid on your loan. In addition, he may raise your interest rate simply because believes that you are a sucker and because he can legally can do so. I believe his hope is that because you have already been in the dealership for hours that you'll be too tired to read the paperwork and push back. My F&I (that's Finance & Insurance) guy didn't make eye contact and just stared and clicked on his computer like he was REALLY trying to do me a favor. Your F&I guy may talk about your credit score, though. If your credit is great, he'll say that you don't have enough history (aka thin file) so your interest rate is higher. If your credit score isn't so great - well you're kinda f@#$d because they're gonna get you for every penny they can get. Their goal is to book your loan with the highest interest rate you can stomach paying. If I were you, I would try to get your financing from anywhere but the dealership. Also, the funniest part of all of this was that for any question or concern I presented, I was given the same line - "This is all standard business practices". Perhaps that is sadly the case, but it never hurts to be a little more honest about your "standard business practices". Be safe everyone and tell someone that you love them today! read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Bought a car a month ago. Had a transmission issue 4 weeks. Took it in they gave it to me within 2 weeks. It's been 2 weeks and stared having the same issue again. They do not give loaner/ rental while you're car is there with them, so I had to pay for Uber yet again make car payments. They say they will get back to you or have the technician give you a call back and they never do. Salesman doesn't help after selling car. Worst decision ever. Do not purchase a car from this place. Less than ideal experience here. I've never been one to post these, but they falsify their online advertising. there was a vehicle I liked for 33k online which was a great deal. When I get there and look at the numbers there's a "mandatory" $2000 "safety and security package" that comes with the vehicle and they are "already installed" so I have to include that. 1) If its mandatory and installed already why not have the truck price reflect that? 2) My vehicle disappeared for WELL over an hour as soon as I signed the paper. And they said they were "cleaning it" (it was spotless when I test drove inside and out). Likely were installing the "safety and security" package that they said was already on there. I will not be returning and cannot recommend anyone else to buy a vehicle there due to the false advertising. read more

I had the worst experience at Davis Chevrolet Service Department And The Service Manager Dan is the Worse of The Worse I brought my car because it was making a horrible noise I had them to look at my car after about a hour or 2 the guy came to me and stated that I had a crack pipe and it will cost with parts and labor almost 500.00. So I said the pipes are cracked it stated on my repair sheet that yes the pipes are cracked. So I told him I'll wait to see what I will do. So I called my trusted Repair man and he said that for what they are stating you need to take it to a muffle shop. He also stated he can look at it and I said I'll take it to the muffler shop. So I contacted a muffler shop which is called Afortable Muffle on Highway 6 which I had to come from Pearland Tx. I had went home by then. So they told me what it will cost just to look at it and it will apply to whatever they have to fix so to make a long story short. They lift the car in the air and told me to come her and look they showed me that the clamp was broke and showed me where it broke there was no crack there nor on the pipe at all. The weld the crack clamp together and did not charge me a dime. And my car runs like a new one. So I was very upset. So the problem was the clamp broke but remember there is no where on this paper where it states a broke clamp. It states the pipe is cracked. And the pipe needs replaced. REALLY ????. So I called and talked to the manager and that head horrible manager Dan. Dan had said this after I told him what Affortable Muffler said the first thing he wanted to say is they put a after market clamp part on there. Smart allic mouth to me and just rude. So I came in that following Monday and ask to speak to the Owner which is Mr. Davis himself. So it took about an hour for me to see him. I guess he was going over what he had saw of the paper work. So he calls that creep Dan in the office and he is just horrible. They just kept telling me that no matter what I'm saying the diagnostics was right. NO this paperwork and I was told I had crack pipes and I was shown a clamp had broke. The owner stills say it was diagnost right until I had to raise my voice and ask him to please show me where it states the clamp is broke. This is what he wants to say to get the clamp fixed on the car you have to buy the pipe because they dont cell them separate and I stated I can understand that what you said but where does it say a clamp was broke? Where? So I made them put my car in the air to show me the broke pipe. They gets this Black guy that had been working there for over 30 plus years to say the same thing. I promise we will sell each other out. Still he could not tell me or show me where the pipe was cracked he looking like a idiot and saying you got to buy this whole thing to get that clamp. Dammit I want you to show me where the pipe is broke. They couldn't tell me and at the end the owner gonna say Ues they could have worded it another way. No you all diagnose my car wrong and there was no crack in my pip at the end of the day my clamp broke from around the pipe and they didnt see it. I'm a Black Women and they saw a fool. I came in this morning for a simple oil change. It's already been 3 hours and my car is still not ready. When I arrived there were 4 other people here. A black woman and 3 white males. I feel the need to mention race because about 20 people have been here since and coincidentally all of the black people are still here waiting, including the woman who was here before I was. She's also getting a simple oil change. Meanwhile, all of the white customers have been in and out. I don't find this to be a coincidence. Furthermore, an oil change shouldn't take North of 3 hours and I will NOT be returning here for any other services. This is ridiculous. Also, I'm currently waiting on them to figure out if they have started working on my car or not. Smh. Ridi Update: So I see a response to my review, and it's a damn lie. I was told 1 to 1 and a half hours was my wait time for an oil change. I see this same man commenting on everyone's bad reviews trying to absolve Davis Chevrolet of any fault or wrong doing. This in itself is a sign that this dealership is of poor customer service. The inability to accept fault or hold themselves accountable is a character flaw. Now when I brought up my observations to the men and women in the waiting room, many agreed that they too noticed the trend of what was happening. I have absolutely nothing to gain from lying. I asked if it was under warranty amd was told yes when I dropped off the truck. The service manager told me he couldn't find record of this and would not cover the warranty. I've only had the truck for 4 months and the way he treated me was beyond terrible. Zero customer service. It's a measly $100 accessory that maybe takes 5 min to install. Where the hell is customer service??? At least provide some kind of solution for my issue. Prior to this experience I was a raving fan of Davis Chevrolet. After this experience they will never get another dime of my money. Way to lose a customer over a $100 accessory warranty. Complete idiots. read more

Every damn time I come here it's like they have no concern about time. My appointment was for 10am and I arrive in time. Was informed the process for my service would be 1-1.5 hour(s). Here it is 12:35pm and my car is still being worked on. There were about 8 ppl here when I got here, now there's only me and has been for the last 35-40 minutes. I missed my doctor's appointment, haven't been offered a complimentary snack, and if no one had said anything, I'd never been given an update. I'm definitely not selling them my car back and not purchasing from here again. Very disappointed!!! read more

really bad service they take your car for minor repairs and hold it for weeks without giving you any type of update.
