We broke down on Rt. 95 on our way home from our vacation. Another dealer incorrectly torqued the lug nuts on our Durango and we almost lost a wheel when the studs sheared off. It was 9pm on a Friday night and we were 750 miles from home. I was short on ideas on how to go about getting it repaired on a weekend in an area that we were unfamiliar with, but luckily we were only a few miles away from Rick Keffer Dodge. I left a voice mail for the service department, and by the time we checked in to the hotel I had my message returned by Billy Skipper. It was 11pm on Friday night, and he told me that he could get our car in the shop first thing in the morning! I brought the car by in the morning and they had us back on the road by 10am! Do not go to this dealership- I am firm believer that you should use the dealership that you bought your vehicle. I had an oil leak and took my jeep to Davis- they kept it all day to finally tell me every gasket needed to be replaced- $5800 worth. They did not do a dye test to see where the problem was located. I took it to another dealership in Starke and they located the leak and the cost was less than a third and they even replaced oil filter and several other items. Don't go here. I go to Jeep dealers for everything and I've lived in several cities now where I've done this. Moved here recently and thought nothing of it to take my car to this dealer near my house. They looked at me and saw a young girl who they could get money out of. I went in for a very specific fix with my gear shift that I researched ahead of time to know what to expect. They came back to me after 40 minutes with all their "recommendations" for some extra checks they ran as a "courtesy" to me. Came back with nearly $5,000 of suggested updates including two new batteries. They used scare tactics to get me to agree to them, such as my car will break down soon because of the batteries. I said do what I came for and nothing more. As I checked out, they told me my car needs further maintenance and I need to come back. I will never go back again, which is a lot coming from a person previously loyal to Jeep dealerships. They saw me walk in and saw dollar signs! read more

Well, Davis ain't no Rick Keffer, that's for sure. Used to be the hands down best dealership in the area with attentive service staff that actually tried to figure out the best way to help you. Not any more. Service team are robots and they don't have one mechanic on staff. At best they're part replacers. They couldn't be bothered diagnose a mechanical issue if you came in for some other reasons. If it's not completely broken, they can't tell what the problem is, let alone fix it. Their sales staff has had a horrible reputation for years, but I wouldn't know because I'd never buy a vehicle from them if it means using this service dept. Again, they're way better than Jacksonville JCD, but that doesn't mean they're not awful. If you own a Jeep in North Florida, well, God help you! read more

Can I just say WOW what a GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! I am the original owner of of my 2020 wrangler (41,000 miles) and have only ever had it serviced at a Jeep dealership. Recently, my Sky One Touch top broke. I live in Jacksonville, so I brought it to the Jax Jeep service dept off baymeadows and they quoted me $5200, said I was out of warranty and it is caused by 100% jeep parts malfunctioning...so basically sorry, not sorry your s*** out of luck. With immense dissatisfaction from that experience, I went to the Davis Jeep service department for another quote. Not only was it significantly less, they were friendly, exuded integrity, and completed the top replacement in no time. I brought my jeep grand Cherokee to this dealership in order for diagnostics to be ran because I was having problems with my all-wheel-drive not engaging. The vehicle is permanently all wheel drive. I got a phone call expressing how sorry these people were but they had to inform me that my car had over $12,000 worth of repairs that needed to be made in order to make it right. I obviously knew this was a joke because there's no way this was possible the car drove perfectly fine. There were no issues besides the four-wheel-drive not engaging. I took it to a local mechanic up in Georgia in my hometown and just found out that the total cost to repair the vehicle will be $900. It was a transfer case actuator which can be found online for around $600. I would stay away from this dealership at all cost. These people are crooks and they will literally take every thing from you if it means they can line their pockets with money. Do not buy a vehicle from here. Do not get your oil changed here I would not recommend even looking in this dealerships direction. I repeat do not trust these people with anything stay away from the dealership. read more

I brought my car in because it was sputtering at low speeds. I wanted to be sure it wasn't anything serious, especially while the vehicle was still under warranty. I was advised that it wasn't anything mechanical but I needed a tune up. and my fluids needed to be changed ... my total was, give or take, about $800. I declined the repairs so my total for the diagnostic was $154. At pickup, my husband was advised I declined services that would have been included in the diagnostic costs... I was not advised of this. It would have been courteous of the rep to let me know that 'so& so' is included so we will take care of it. I would have felt much better knowing I got something for the money I was paying for them to say I need a tuneup. Not to mention my husband frequents this place but I know who won't be anymore. Me! I took my truck there for a few oil changes. The customer service was never great, but I tolerated it because I live close by. The last time I was there sitting alone in the waiting room I overheard the service department employees talking bad about different customers as they left the building. Brought my 2016 wrangler in for a grinding noise. I previously check with a shop near my home and they told me it was my belt tensioner which they showed me how they knew. Note: I'm also a mechanic so I knew what it was. Brought it up here because it was still under warranty. They assured me it was my alternator and I paid $150 for them to look at it for ten minutes. I knew it wasn't the alternator but in order for them cover the actual problem I had to buy an alternator and prove that it was not the problem. Crazy, the alternator did nothing to fix the issue! I bring it back to them and they look at it again and say it's the belt tensioner this time. But don't worry, you don't have to pay the $100 warranty deductible because you paid us $150 last time. So I'm out an extra $50 that I shouldn't have paid and bought a new alternator ($200). Their service reps behind the desk are great! I'm just very very displeased with their lack of attention. It was very easy for them to open the hood and say it was the alternator. Anyone trained well would have diagnosed it right the first time. I'm very upset they didn't bother address the extra money that I should have not paid. Not to mention all the time I spent going back and forth to them. I will not be bringing any of our vehicle here anymore. I'd rather drive further to a better jeep dealership. FYI. I put the old alternator back on before I brought it to them when they were installing the belt tensioner. The issue was immediately fixed when the new tensioner was replaced and not a peep out of the old alternator. read more

I just left this dealership. I visited the Express lane for an oil change. I was told there were 2 cars in the bays being worked on then 1 other ahead of me. The wait would be 2 hours. I asked if I could make an appointment and was told no because it was an Express service. I think this is unacceptable to others besides me. There is nothing Express about a 2 hour wait. read more

Brought a car in for repair. The "computer" gave them a solution. In driving the car home in failed with the same problem less than 5 miles from the dealership. Further examination found that the "Computer" did tell the whole story . The problem would cost more than the car was worth. Overall I spent $1700 to NOT have my car fixed. With LESS than 300 miles on my new vehicle and less than 5 days, I had to bring it to the dealership for a check engine light. Two days after I bought it, I had a "gas cap" light, we were smelling gas fumes and the check engine light came on when I was driving home from work. Not a good start to owning my first ever Dodge product! However..... Billy took my vehicle in, right away on a Saturday morning and within the hour gave me the news....the fuel tank was cracked causing a large leak in the EVAP (emissions) system. It would be 7-10 days to get a tank and fuel pump. Today, being the 7th day, my truck was ready to be picked up. No issues at all with the service department. I purchased a used Dodge Ram, (Not from Davis), and the dealer agreed to purchase a new radio for the truck to replace the missing one. Once the radio was installed, I had to locate the code, which is when Davis got involved. I spoke to a very professional young lady named Hannah in the parts department, which walked me through the process, which wasn't as cut and dry as I was led to believe. Once I got the info I needed, her and her manager was very helpful in helping me the code for my radio. Keep in mind, they had nothing to do with the purchase of the radio, or the truck, and bent over backwards to help me out. That's the kind of customer service I can get behind, and will definitely use them when I need something in the future. My 2016 Jeep Cherokee has had to have 2 major repairs in the last 4 months. Today, the service department manager treated me with nothing but rudeness and condescension after I questioned my bill. They tacked on additional fees to my purchased extended warranty's deductible. The only work they did today was warranty work, so I should have only been responsible for the deductible, not the deductible +41%. He treated me like I was just a trashy person who didn't want to pay my bill. Inexcusable. NEWS FLASH Allowing your manager to be so rude to a woman who is legitimately questioning charges on her bill is very poor customer service, Davis Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram!!! The other experiences I had here were not great either. I had to bring my Jeep to this dealership twice before they could diagnose a transmission problem -it was not shifting properly and would pause or stall in intersections. life-threatening!! The first time, they performed a software update and charged me $170. The second time, they finally found the problem, but I had to wait two days on a part. They ordered a defective part. This delay caused me to be stuck with rental car fees for a week instead of 3 days. They were not the least bit interested in sharing that cost with me, even though the fees were due to a defective Jeep part or more likely an error on their part in ordering. Just a side note-the first time I took it for transmission problems, it was still Rick Keffer. The second time, it was Davis. I am saddened and frustrated as I wanted to be able to have my vehicle work done locally and contribute to my local economy instead of Jacksonville's. I will drive to Kingsland or Jacksonville until I can trade in this Jeep. If I have to have this Jeep towed, I will pay extra to have it towed anywhere but to Davis Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. A vehicle that has been well-maintained, has mainly highway miles, and is less than 3 years old should not need major repair work, much less 2 major repairs in a 4 month span. I am very thankful I purchased the extended warranty. I won't buy another Jeep. Thanks to the poor customer service I have received here at my local dealership, I won't buy a Chrysler, Dodge, or Ram either. read more

Was forced to pick a star before I could post, otherwise it would be zero stars. I was told I had several features on the 2019 Ram Rebel that I did not have. After six hours at the dealership I told the salesman I would go through all the features the next day (Sunday). Went back on Monday and they still insisted I had these features. The dealership kept my truck for nine days, while I drove a stripped mini van. After nine the days, the service department determined this truck just didn't come with any of them. Top management would not help me or do anything to make it right and then just stopped returning my calls and emails. Found a truck on line that I wanted. Went in for a test. Met with Emmett, the sales person. The truck was fine, what I needed, the price was ok, could have been a little better. Explained that I did not want my credit over pulled. Filled out the app and waited. After trying to teach someone for 2 days I finally got a call from the finance manager saying I was approved. When he gave me the terms I said there must be a mistake, the truck I looked at was $10,000, he gave me a price of over $18,000 over the phone ! I said no, it was the 2015 Chevy, he said no it was the 2011 GMC. Again I said no, he wanted to argue. Then he said, oh, we couldn't get that one approved because it has 126,000 miles on it, however the GMC THAT IS 4 YRS OLDER has 98,000 miles on it and somehow that was my only choice. I call B.S. they are scammers, oh and all of this after hitting my credit with 6 hard inquiries. These people are not to be trusted....at all. read more

Words can not describe how thankful my fiancé and I are for Davis! From the time we first initially called to when we went in service and were helped, everyone was so KIND!! We had bought a 2022 Jeep Compass from another dealership, and it instantly had issues. Billy in service is an absolute Angel!! There are not enough words to explain how amazing he is! After a long five months with the previous dealership dismissing our issues as "electrical and you'll have to wait for an update," Billy and his team found the issue in less than an hour! Billy kept us up to date with everything! We were never left wondering what was going on. The only mistake we made was not buying our jeep from Davis from the start! I live about 40 minutes away and will make the drive to them from now on, even for an oil change! There is absolutely no other option other than Davis! My family was down for a visit.. the van oil light was on. so i told them to go to the local dealer... they said 125.00 to look at it... also told them van was pulling to one side.... went to get van later that day and was told 414.00.. because they need to pay the hourly rate.. of 125 a hour... they fixed nothing. but if they wanted them to fix it , it would be over 3500.00. when they got home to NY.. there mechanic told them.. tires are worn causing van to pull to one side & they need an oil sensor... they had everything fixed Plus two new front tires & front end alignment for 350.00 The fix was less then this dealers diagnostic casts.. stay away from this dealer if you have out of state tags. read more

I heard about Rick Keffer Dodge, and personally thought it was too good to be true because I had been to dealerships as far as Texas, and this one was very close to home in comparison. I've bought two cars this year - one was a wonderful purchase experience and service (not here) the other was purchased from here and they will never get my business again. Norm, the finance guy, will try to belittle you into purchasing extra add ons (Read higher $ for him) and turns rude when declined. Norm will run your credit with misspelled name (despite having ID in front of him) so abnormalities occur and credit declined except where he wants to finance you- more $. The typical sequestration and back and forth of salesman/ manager/ client which just makes me feel like this is my granddad's dealership. THEN- don't even ask them to fix any problems- like the fact they didn't submit paperwork to bank and registration correctly - Norm will try to pressure you into reworking the deal with different bank- more $ and then be super pissy about your request for a new temp tag.
