Dave arrived early to measure our patio slider window for an estimate, which was appreciated. He measured multiple times to make sure he got the correct dimensions. Ordering the glass was delayed because Dave questioned his measurements as they didn't match a standard size window so he wanted to return to re-measure. Sure enough, we don't have standard size windows. He also recommended a product to re-screen our screen door that had been demolished by scrub jays pecking at the screen to get our attention (you think cats do a number on screens, persistent birds are much worse) We got an estimate from another company and there was only a $5 difference between the quotes so we went local. Before making our decision we stopped by their showroom to look at the pet resistant screen material. The staff member assured us that the pet-resistant screen has held up against her cats. No guaranees against birds, but that's not a normal situation. On installation day the two men showed up a 10 minutes early, again very appreciated. They were meticulous. They cleaned out the runners and all around the window slider area, then re-measured the old window and the new window several times. That made me a little nervous but the measurements were correct and the new pane fit the frame. They spent a lot of time to insure that the slider and the screen ran smoothly and adjusted things until everything rolled perfectly. I have sliding patio doors in my bedroom and family room and they had old worn brass handles that needed to be repaired (wobbly and locks sticking) or replaced. I scheduled an appt. with Davis Glass and John & Johnny came out (on time!) prepared to take a look and provide an estimate for repair or replacement. I asked if they had white handles to match the door. They had one on the truck which after seeing I decided I'd go the replacement route, After getting the estimate, they installed the one handle and said they'd get me the other 3. I expected it might take a week or so before they could get me the add'l handles, but they said they had them at the shop and could come back in the afternoon and install them. It took maybe a total of 20 minutes for them to put on the new handles. The locks easily open and close and the white handles give the doors a much more updated appearance. BTW, the cost of the handles was in line with what I would have paid if I'd ordered them from Amazon. When they came back in the afternoon, it took J & J maybe 20 minutes to put on the new handles - and they not only installed them, but cleaned up the work area. Both John and Johnny were so friendly and helpful. No pushy sales tactic - just a desire to provide quality service which is exactly what they did. I wouldn't give them even one star. They are non-responsive to my emails, they do not answer when called, and their voicemail message box is full, so nobody can leave a voicemail. A window in my unit was broken on May 15, 2023. My leasing manager called Davis Glass to make the repairs. A representative from Davis Glass came out to take measurements, and give an estimate for replacement. At that time, I was informed that they needed to order the glass, and it would take 2 to 3 weeks for the glass to come in. I sent them an email the very next day, informing them of my days of availability when my glass was ready to be installed. Nearly a month later, on June 14, 2023, I finally received an email response stating that my glass had finally come in. However, the date they wanted to come out, I had a family funeral. I tried to call them, but no one answered and their voicemail message box was still full, so I could not leave a voicemail. I then responded to their email with several days of my availability for the coming weeks ahead. However, as of this writing on September 12, 2023, I have not heard back from Davis Glass, and my window is still broken. Completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and not good business practice! read more

We needed new screens for our entire home. I received quotes from two mobile companies and Davis Glass & Screen (DGS). Not only was DGS the most reasonable (about half the cost!), they were the most prompt and always available when I called. Romina answered all of my questions thoroughly and offered the technician to bring samples of the different types of screen materials they had during my measuring appointment. She scheduled me in as soon as possible and Darrin came to measure our windows. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and quick. He explained the pros and cons to the different screen materials and did not push for the most expensive (which was still cheaper than the other mobile companies' standard screens). He recommended the most reasonable screen for our needs. It took less than a week for them to make the screens and when Romina called me to schedule install, she remembered a comment I made about my babies' nap schedule in passing, and already offered to schedule install after my babies' nap time! I was completely impressed that she remembered this tiny detail weeks later! Darrin came back to install and everything went well and extremely quick. The screens were made perfectly and fit tightly. From my first phone call to final install was less than two weeks. It would have been faster if my own schedule allowed for it. I am beyond impressed with the professionalism and service of DGS, especially with Romina and Darrin. I highly recommend DGS and will only recommend them to anyone who needs screens! read more

Johnny is very professional and a hard worker. My glass door was broken and both companies in Sacramento and Woodland told me that they were not able to fix it. I was very frustrated about it. On the day of my 2 year olds birthday party my mother in law went to open my sliding door of which I have had continual problems with since purchasing the home 3 years ago and had another unnamed glass company in Vacaville out several times to "fix" the problem multiple times fell out of the tracks on top of my mother in law. I called Davis glass and explained the situation and the urgency of 40 people with small children in and out of the door to the backyard planned for that afternoon. I was told that they normally don't do service calls but they would make an exception and come to my house as soon as they closed the shop to try and assist in preparation of the party. They arrived as promised and showed me that the prior company had installed the wrong rollers which was the cause of my issues. They fixed the problem with parts that they had in stock for my Millard patio door and immediately upon finishing the door operated like it never had in the 3 years I have owned the house. These guys were my heroes and really saved the day and I extremely grateful as the party went off without a hitch and the patio sliding door works beautifully now. read more

Davis Glass and Screen, formally Anderson Glass, is an extremely well-run company whose employees have years of experience. In the past few years we had Davis Glass install European shower doors in our remodeled bathrooms, replace all the window and patio door screens that had been shredded by a pet, and today Bill replaced the glass in a 200 year old Victorian bookcase that came around the Horn in a sailing ship, yet didn't survive a visit with our grand daughter. The antique glass was 'plate glass'. We now have safety glass. Bill did an excellent job , Ramona is a ray of sunshine on the phone, and Johnny is very professional. Five stars! read more
