Didn't have much to complain about for a lab draw. Office Experience- minimal. There was one person behind the desk but the queue was formed by the number on the ticket you take. Think of the numbers you used to take at Corti Bros. at the deli. In and out fairly quickly this morning. And still not a hospital. They'll call you a ride to a hospital.

Also, it's way cheaper than urgent care, even without using SHIP. In theory, a good service. Now for the bad. There is (was?) one particularly rude and unprofessional doctor there who made comments about my mom while on the phone with her. Insane. Their real problem is their lack of funding. This facility is in extreme distress and needs to double its budget. The offices look fine, but that's about it. The demand for care is high, with appointments being a month out, and same-day slots being taken right when they open at 8:30 every morning. Yet, you go inside and see practically empty back rooms. Nobody inside! One doctor on duty, a few nurses, and that's it. Meanwhile all the desks and rooms are empty. The employees always complain about how they're closing soon, even when you arrive right after lunch. They begin to "soft close" early in the day and are only open until 5pm. They aren't open on weekends. SHIP is $4000 a year, and recently became partly a loan. Yet, the facility is on life support. UC Davis claims to care about students and their "wellness," yet the state of this facility says the opposite. The nurses here and supposedly other essential faculty seem to really care and are doing the best that they can from what little they have. They know the system sucks, but they can't do much about it. Aside from one rude interaction (maybe they were having a bad day?), the issues here mainly stem from administrative problems.

If I have an issue testing is no issue. At Kaiser you have to be your own advocate and demand tests. I like that UC Davis is a teaching university and I don't mind students coming in the room with the doctor. I don't have to stress and worry about they aren't testing me for anything I have concerns about. They work with me and put me at ease. I've been seeing Dr. Mahoney since 2018 and she is great. If she isn't available the other doctors are also great.

I came in because I was having issues with my birth control, and the doctor did not even give me a full women's wellness exam. I spoke to the doctor for about 10 minutes, then headed over to their lab department to have 10 labs done. The labs cost about $163, which is pretty reasonable. However, this office charged me $942 just for the 10 minute talk with a doctor (not even a full exam). Absolutely ridiculous. And no, this is not a billing mistake as I first thought it was. I called their billing department, and they told me they would fix it but never did. I called them back and they said the bill was actually correct and that I owed them $1,105 for a 10 minute chat with a doctor and one set of labs. Will never be returning here again... and if you care about your health and your wallet, I would never recommend you come here either.

The Davis community Clinic Has changed my wife and my health…read moredramatically, not only that but our lives tremendously. Dr Ian Kim is truly the most compassionate and understanding dr/ man I've ever encountered in the medical field to top that he is very knowledgeable. What he doesn't know he will research until he finds the right answer or solution. When my wife and I met doctor kim, we were living on the streets of davis homeless with no hope of ever getting out of the mess, we got ourselves into. My wife had major depression, and I was killing myself with my diabetes. Truly I was dying. We now have been housed 3 years ,my diabetes is almost non-existing. We're both working and enjoying life. , we owe it to the clinic,especially doctor kim and his amazing staff

I am incredibly proud of how far I've come, but saying goodbye to the people who helped me get here is one of the hardest things I've had to do. When I entered this program, I was overwhelmed, frightened, and facing some of the most serious health challenges of my life. I had no idea how much one person could change the course of someone else's journey. Damaris, my Advanced Case Manager, did exactly that. She never stopped believing in me, even on the days I struggled to believe in myself. She advocated for me, coordinated my care, helped me navigate an overwhelming medical system, and made sure my voice was heard when I couldn't find the words. She even came to work at 6:00 a.m. to accompany me to a specialist appointment in San Francisco because she wanted to make sure I wasn't facing it alone. That is not something you forget. What impresses me most isn't just her work ethic--it's her heart. Damaris genuinely cares. She celebrates your victories, carries you through the setbacks, and reminds you that you're more than your diagnosis. She gave me hope during a time when hope felt impossible. I'm leaving this program a stronger person because of the incredible team who cared for me, especially Damaris. She didn't just help coordinate my care--she helped me rebuild my life. I brought my infant son to the Emergency Department after being referred from Urgent Care, and…read moreunfortunately our first interaction left a very negative impression. The RN at the reception desk, Diana S., did not provide the level of professionalism or courtesy I expected. The Urgent Care staff gave me a referral paper with my son's information and instructed me to hand it to the Emergency Department staff. When I handed the paper to her, she did not look at it and instead began asking me questions about my own medical history, including my allergies. My infant son was right next to me in his stroller, and I had to interrupt to explain that he--not I--was the patient. Had the referral paper been reviewed, it would have been clear that I was the mother and my infant son was the patient. The most upsetting moment was when a gust of wind blew the referral paper onto her side of the desk. She picked it up, crumpled it into a ball, and threw it into the trash without saying a word. Since Urgent Care had specifically instructed me to hand that paper to the Emergency Department, seeing it immediately discarded without any explanation was shocking. As a mother bringing my infant to the ER, I was already scared and worried. This interaction made me feel deeply disrespected. Patients and their families deserve to be treated with basic courtesy, especially when they are seeking emergency care for a sick child.

I was prescribed azithromycin and fluticasone. I picked up both prescriptions from the pharmacy conveniently located in the same building. After all the times I have been here, the staff has been very consistent. They are genuinely very caring and helpful. Parking is plentiful and there is little to no wait. They have an email system in which the physicians/nurses contacted me a couple days after my visit to follow-up with me. I really like this option because I can ask questions easily without having to come into the office.
