    "Santa Fe" hotdog.

They said they were out of cotija cheese when we ordered, so we asked for regular cheese. 4 people working. 1 taking orders and 3 roaming aimlessly looking like they had no clue what to make, where anything was or what order was next. After 20 mins I asked what was taking so long since multiple orders after ours came out. They looked surprised and said we were next, so we watched them make it--which still took an amazing 5 more mins. When they went to put on the guac we saw that it was brown. Luckily they didn't. Finally this is what they gave us for $11, a 22% tip at the register, and a 25 minute wait. No ambiance to be found, just a bunch of unhappy customers bonding over the complete clusterf*** that we were all experiencing. What could be improved? Employee training, stocked ingredients and communication to customers.

Loaded fries chipotle on the side and polish dog

I was craving loaded fries and could not find any at the Night Market. I came into Third Street Market Hall on a mission. Dawg City enticed me with their selection of fries. I got the loaded cheese fries and the polish dog. Loaded fries come with bacon, cheese sauce, scallions, and chipotle sauce. This was a very generous sharing portion. It was presented beautifully loaded but the French fries needed more crisp. The polish dog was good, pretty standard, nothing spectacular. Overall I'm glad I tried Dawg City but the market hall has such a variety that I probably won't be rushing back.

Veggie "brat" dog Spicy mustard was amazing

I noticed this spot in the market and they had veggie options so I HAD to try it. They did not disappoint, the prices, the employees and they had so many different variety and options for dogs! I got a little messy but my veggie "brat" dog went very quick. Highly recommend stepping by.

    Chicken loaded fries

I love a good hot dog and a good loaded fry situation. The regular loaded fries are so good and a big portion so they are definitely shareable. My friend got the chicken fries and didn't hate them but said the brown sauce wasn't her favorite. No complaints about service or the experience of ordering. I think this place is great for what they offer and I will definitely revisit.

The Ruben was very fatty, sinewy...and chewy. No bueno.

We ordered two dogs, fries, and a Ruben. The kids didn't complain about the dogs but my mom in law's Ruben was super chewy and had lots of gristle (see pic). Maybe it wasn't the greatest idea to get a Ruben at a dog spot. Also the fries were undercooked and the catsup tasted funny...almost like vinegar. But, at least the kids were happy : /

The other reviews were right: the Italian Beef is wonderful! I wouldn't bother with the onion rings, just from a random bag.

Good food, great service. Low ratings are from Karen's and Kens who should find something better to do with their time.

**July 2025: Wednesday Lunch Visit**…read more While I was researching iconic food in Wisconsin I came across an item called Butter Burger which sounded so decadent and delicious. My friend and I were only exploring Milwaukee for a day so we wanted to make sure that we picked a good spot to try this region favorite. AJ Bombers came up consistently ranked on top for really great burgers. We came on a weekday so parking was pretty easy, but it is metered street parking. The restaurant is located at the corner of a large building and since we arrived right at opening we were seated right away. We ordered the following -Cheese Curds $9 - These were delicious. Nice and crispy, almost had an airfried texture to it so it tasted healthier than others that I've tried -Bomb Butter Burger $14 - The meat was very juicy and overall a good burger -Milwaukee Burger $12.50 - This was a fantastic burger and I think I preferred this to the Bomb Butter Burger. The flavors were more balanced IMHO -Tater Tots and Fries: The burgers all came with a side and I enjoyed both! They were freshly fried and served hot. The tots made me feel really nostalgic since those were things I remember eating growing up. The unfortunate news is that this restaurant despite all the accolades will be closing later in 2025. It's served Milwaukee for 16 years and while I'm bummed that they'll be closing their doors later this year I'm glad that I got enjoy one of Milwaukee's best. If you get a chance to check them out their decor also has a lot of personality.

I haven't been in years, but it was sad to see that they don't give out peanut like they used to and they were not all over the floor. There was a singular waitress there but she was nice and checked in on us. I ordered the Milwaukee Burger. I loved the onions on it and added tomato to it. I thought the burger itself was ok. Not too much flavor, I wish it was a little more pink. It would've been better if the bun was more toasted as well. I ordered onion rings, fried pickles, and cheese curds. Cheese curds and onion rings were really good, but the frickles were huge and every time I would take a bite the pickle would come out of the batter and I would be stuck with the plain batter alone. Overall loved the ambiance and I was miss Aj Bombers and its history.

I'm visiting from Durham, NC, and I wish I could put Twisted Plants in my pocket and take it home…read morewith me! The flavor and variety were amazing. It's rare to find a place where both me and my son can eat from the same menu, especially since he's a picky eater, but he finished his entire plate. Our DoorDash delivery arrived hot, fresh, and exactly as ordered. We'll definitely order again multiple times while here!

Friendly vegan spot (5/5 Green Stars) If you're visiting…read moreMilwaukee then a visit to E Brady St. is probably worth your while - a few interesting spots here, including Twisted Plants. I wanted to support my vegan brothers and sisters and, having being on the road (actually on Amtrak, so rails, really) for a while, I was craving some protein. Following the advice of the friendly staff members, I opted for an order of "Drummies" (Dazed & Confused) to maximize my protein intake. I ended up eating it in the restaurant and thought the vegan drumsticks were delicious with the two homemade sauces provided (ranch and chili). This dish is pricier than most of the others ($15, compared to a more reasonable $4 for fries or $10 for vegan mozzarella sticks) but memorable. The place could do with a few tweaks in terms of décor/atmosphere but the friendly staff helped make it a nice experience. I'm also rating the Twisted Plants 4.5 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on the following: * Everything on the menu - savory food and pastries - is vegan. * Most of the food packaging is compostable. * Staff members are happy to tell you what's in your food. The drummies that I ordered are from Lily's Vegan Pantry - made in Taiwan from soy and seasoning (no palm oil). * Cookies are from local vegan entrepreneur, Bunny's Bite. * It fills a useful niche of craveable vegan (elevated) fast food. Next time I want to try the Crispy Chik'n Salad (made with organic greens) as it's one of those dishes I never tried before I went veggie.
