Very wee food & very expensive. Brat sauerkraut sandwich was good, bread they use is great, sauerkraut is the non-fermented kind. The slaw side salad was horrible with tomatoes that were rotten tasting (coleslaw with tomatoes?). Rest of the slaw just had water on it I think, not the usual slaw dressing or any dressing, not even herbs or pepper. Desserts looked awesome (cheese cakes, puddings). For the price, I didn't see the value. Cute place. Nice out door patio. While I waited, another customer ordered food, it was just him, the cashier charged $30 for whatever he bought (just for him) and the cashier said "times haves changed/are tough, but we home make a lot." Tried a new BBQ restaurant tonight. The Dawg House was full at 5 pm but we managed to get a small table. Ordering was easy from their menu. The nice lady that took our order was very friendly and was great to work with. We had the pork belly, sausage, and chicken dinner with 2 sides. Our coleslaw and the bbq beans and Mac and cheese tasted excellent. The chicken was kind of dry but the sausage had great flavor as well as the pork belly. The pork belly was tasty but we wanted more fat on the strips we received. The bbq sauce was average but their shake on seasoning was very good. The brews on tap, local rotational beers, were fresh and crisp. The restaurant was clean but the restrooms were not. We will return for a couple more meals, and a couple tap brews. read more

We went to the Dawg House for our 20-year reunion. Our group literally took over the restaurant, but the staff was very accommodating and the service was great! The Dawg House gives that back porch chill vibe. There is a variety of beer, wine, and food to try. The food was really good! This was my third time coming in the last few years and every time the workers aren't very friendly, I think in this economy you need to have a pleasing ambiance to have someone want to come back. You can have average food and good service but you can't have average food and bad service. Very few choices for this area but won't be back to this one. read more

Normally this is my go-to place when we come to Washington but the establishment has new owners. Although the food is good, the new owners are rude. Ordered a brisket salad, a side of Mac and cheese along with a peanutbutter stout and a guava beer. Mmmm. The salad was delicious. The brisket was flavorful, the dressing was good and the side of slaw was such a nice surprise. You could actually see the fresh herbs in the slaw. They also had a huge selection of beers on tap. Only regret... is that I passed on the cheese cake. Was happy to support a mom and pop style restaurant. Very casual place with delicious bbq. We had nachos with pulled pork. The pork was yummy and the tomatoes, onions, cilantro and salsa were fresh. Unfortunately the cheese was that American cheese-food that comes from a big can. Would have loved some fresh cheddar. Friendly folks, probably a dozen local beers and cider on tap. The atmosphere is pretty laid back and it smells very delicious when you walk in but it's overcrowded on a regular basis and the food smells better than it tastes. No one wears masks, the signs on the door are just for show. Their pricing is a little much for what you get. Each evening features a different dinner, Saturday being a huge beef brisket that my son from Texas was impressed by. We didn't expect such good food from this small town! My wife and I shared the pork nachos and the brisket dinner. The nachos were awesome, the pork was amazing and the salsa was very good ( combo of slightly spicy and slightly sweet). The brisket was excellent, really good flavor, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The brisket came with garlic mashed potatoes, very good and our choice of 3 soups: chicken dumpling, clam chowder or chili ( or salad), we chose Chili, it was also very good (homemade). For beer they had a decent selection of 16 on tap if I remember right (for a small town, can't complain). I had a Kettlehouse Scotch ale beer because I like the darker beers. Samples were available to find one I liked. We would definitely eat here again! read more

Stopped in for lunch the other day and order the lunch special which was a teriyaki chicken wrap and had macaroni salad with it. That by far was the best wrap I have ever had!
