I am a fur mom whose dog doesn't do well at your typical Petco or PetSmart grooming session. My border collie is very skittish and is not a friend of the blow dryer. Searched online for dog grooming businesses that work well with nervous and difficult dogs and Dawgie Styles came up. I gave them a call, got an appointment nearly right away and took my dog in for his first groom. I have to say, the love, energy and expertise of the staff is amazing. I was prepared to get the dreadful call to pick up my dog and the call I got was to tell me he was ready (awww). My guy was able to get a complete bath, trim, deshed glam-up. I was shown video of how he reacted to the blowdryer and to my amazement, he did well, but that is due to the patience and care of the grooming team. I have been a customer for just shy of 2 years... so I wanted to make sure I truly got to know the staff before I left my review. I genuinely love Dawgie Styles. They are always helpful, prompt, kind, compassionate and loving to not only my fur baby but also towards me and my children when we come in. We genuinely love Jamie and the heart the staff has for these babies. It is a really scary world seeing the grooming horror stories but I know my babies are always well taken care of here. I foster a lot of abused and neglected animals and I often take them to DS to get spa treatments so they can feel like the best version of themselves and some are not easy to work with. They go above and beyond to ensure those babies are loved and looked after while in their care which means the world to fosters like myself. If you needed the extra nudge to trust an establishment with your furry family members I hope this review is that nudge. I recently moved to the area and have had the hardest time finding someone willing (and able) to trim my 130 lb Cane Corso's nails. Even the vet wouldn't attempt it without sedation. Huge shout-out to Jamie and her team they truly know what they're doing! This was no easy task, but they were incredibly patient, showed zero fear, and went through half a jar of treats to make my girl comfortable. To top it off, they were able to get me in the same day along with my uncle's Lab, who also needed a bath. I found Jamie three years ago when many of the grooming places were closed because of Covid. I have never gone anywhere else again. My Harley is a Coton du Tulear. Coton is French for cotton and that's what his fur is like. He had long hair and it had become matted and I was desparate. I told Jamie that if she had to shave him, I understood and that's what I expected. When I picked him up he was perfect! No shaving. She knew just what to do for his fur and he almost never gets any mats now. And Harley loved her! He was a puppy then and hard to handle. She was so patient and loving. Today, when we go to DAWGY Styles, Harley is so anxious to get inside to see Jamie he almost jumps out of the car. And he dearly loves Ricco who bathes him. Ohhh the AUDACITY of this lady. My dog was NOT matted. We brushed him every single day. He's a husky; this is mandatory so my house wasn't covered in hair. Offering free services when we had to go through this stressful ordeal and then claiming she was having a mental health crisis!? So were we, I struggle with severe anxiety and my dog was being held with zero responses. Also, the claim of food and water is also a lie, when we brought the dog home, he immediately ran to his water and drank TWO bowls of water and was starving. Unacceptable; this business should be shut down! And you were expecting to meet me face to face LOL it was almost midnight and my children were sleeping. Unprofessional, trash of a business. It serves to mention that our dog was NEVER the same after spending the day at this groomer, exactly 4 days later he passed. But here we are still dealing with her harassing response. read more

Annie is happy when she gets there. She loves everyone that works there. Now my mom's dog Izzy is the same breed as Annie and exact weight but Izzy has a huge small dog complex.
