JD's has come to the East side and from the looks of it, they have came to stay! Great location, beautiful and spacious interior (great for groups) and ample parking. On my quest to cut the carbs and eat healthier, I really wanted some soup. When I saw the JD logo, I knew just the soup to hit the spot! There are two doors to enter the establishment. The one facing I10 is nearest the takeout counter. Use the other door to order and dine in! I honestly wished I had dined in because this JD's is so warm and inviting! The glass allows lots of natural light the fill the space. Makes you feel warmer than the soup you order--well almost! The seafood gumbo I ordered was powerful and potent with spice! I was able to tolerate it by consuming in spurts, but it maybe a problem for some patrons. Better to underseason than overseason! Despite the loads of spicinest, it was still flavorful and rich, which is the JD gumbo I fell in love with years ago. A great stop for a fullfiling and guilt free meal. This is for the drive-thru only, since I've never eaten inside at this location. The line and wait were long but when it was my time to order, the employee was fast taking my order. The order was also correct once I got it. In my opinion the fruit cup is overpriced. I got like 6 strawberries for the price I could get an entire carton at the store. Me and my buddy were looking for a quick meal before a concert so we stopped by Jason's Deli for dinner on a Saturday night. I've had Jason's Deli catered at work before but this was my first time eating at one of their locations. They share a parking lot with several other businesses so parking shouldn't be a problem. Once you walk in, you place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to pick up your food when it's ready. If you're only looking to take part in the salad/soup bar, you can even check out on a computer and skip the line. I created my own sandwich: turkey, ham, a fresh-cracked egg, and chipotle aioli on a wheat wrap with BBQ chips. It really wasn't a difficult order but it took the cashier three times repeating my order to get it right. When my food was ready, I had been given bread instead of a wrap. On their second attempt, they gave me turkey and no ham. At this point, I was in a hurry and frustrated so I just ate the sandwich as is. Is it really that hard to get a custom order right? The wrap was average. On a better note, they have complimentary soft serve ice cream. Vanilla, chocolate, and swirl. They also have a good sized menu consisting of sandwiches, soups, salads, and entrees. For some reason, it was senior night at Jason's Deli. It's a hopping place if you're 60+. My mother loves this place and it is the only location on this side of town but it is very piss poor. I called ahead and the young lady asked if she could place me on hold. I was on hold for atleast 13 minutes(see photo) before the girl came back to the phone. We were at he drive thru speaker by the time she came back to phone. I said absolutely not the least you could so was make one of the soups free, discounted or something. The manager came to the window and said he could not give us anything for free. He said that he has a minor fire to put out in the restaurant and it was all hands on deck and that was the reason for the long wait. I could give him this if he wasn't like the 3rd or 4th manager that I have encountered at this location. It looks like they have turnover. I used to work at the high school up the street and would call ahead because they took so long with to go orders and even when I arrived they still would not have it ready and that was back in 2019. My mother ordered two pot pie soups (bowls) and one wild rice with chicken cup. I told my mom just to call corporate. This location is ridiculous and I dont see it changing anytime soon read more

I usually don't have complaints with this location but my recents orders have not been correct. Ordered my lunch online and had someone else pick it up. Sandwich was not dressed the way I ordered it. Solid stars just because the salad bar is back. by far the best salad bar around, next to like a brazilian steakhouse. this could have been a 5 star experience, except the clueless cashier doesn't know her stuff. i asked her specifically if there was a baked potato/salad bar combo. she replied yes, so i ordered it. my husband was ordering his food as i slid down anxious to get my plate and hit that salad... I am a slow eater and if i dont get a head start on a salad, my husband sits around looking bored making me feel guilty and gulping my food, so i start as early as i can. our food comes, the baked potato was pretty gross, but the salad was delicious so i was ok. That is until i looked at the receipt. there was no baked potato combo... the clueless cashier charged me full price on the baked potato... $9.00 for something i didnt eat... then the full regular salad bar price. Walked in this evening actually stood at the counter for a few minutes no one acknowledged me. The two girls are unwelcoming, no urgency in me a paying guest, my order was wrong, I asked for no honey mustard and still got it on my bread, one short chick walking through with a drink machine drinking, on her phone, it's unsanitary and she didn't even change her gloves before touching my bag. Waited over 10 minutes for my food. I will never return to this place. I understand it was evening but you still have a job to do, y'all really need to train your employees better because you will loose business. Food just threw together, customer service is horrendous. I love Jason's deli' food offerings and especially the salad bar. Had to deduct 2 stars from this location due to customer service issues. I was skipped when asked to order and tried to get the attention of the cashier. The manager observed what was going on and asked if I needed help. I decided to go elsewhere. Tried to like this place and came back after a previous visit in which the rude servers literally tried to run me over and don't have the common courtesy of saying "excuse me". Simple suggestion: Cashiers, just greet and make eye contact with everyone then simply ask who was first. Servers should at least say excuse me to patrons trying to find a seat and not shove them. Never go to this location. My family went here to order food but we stood there for 10 minutes without anyone taking our order and didn't acknowledge us. I ordered a salad bar, a sandwich and 2 cups of soup. I took my time making my own salad. 20 minutes had passed and still no sandwich and soup. Went to the counter to ask about my order. The manager was nice enough to comp the sandwich. 5 minutes passed still no order. I finally had to ask loudly about my order and after some finger-pointing I finally received my order. First time ever going to a Jason's Deli, this is a new restaurant and is minutes from work so I decided to give it a go. I did my research on what is on the menu before heading out. I was surprised they had a drive thru (huge bonus) for me, the only downside is their drive thru menu is 1/10 of what their real menu is. Luckily I had screen shots on my phone and was able to order that way. I ordered the Santa Fe chicken sandwich (delish), chicken club salad ( not impressed), broccoli cheese soup (pretty good) and the papa joe (it was okay). If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I've gone to many Jason's deli's as I love their broccoli cheese soup. However, every time I come here I encounter the RUDEST manager!! He is always asking for a tip. It makes me feel so uncomfortable. I do not mind tipping anywhere. However I NEVER have experienced someone ASKING for a tip. I think it is so rude.
