I had a great experience here! I had called different dog groomers in my area and I found this place to be the most reasonably priced and well reviewed so I decided to give this place a try and I'm so glad I did. I LOVE that this place is kennel free and the dogs can play and interact with each other while they wait for their grooming. They even took my dog in last minute, which I really appreciated. I got all the essentials done on my corgi (teeth brushing, nail trim, deshedding, a butt trim) for a fair price compared to the competitors in the area. I also love how they trimmed my corgi! I usually have trouble when I ask for a butt trim because it never really comes out right but they did great! She also shaped her a bit under her belly and chest too and I loved it sooo much. I've had experiences with other groomers giving me a hard time whenever I asked for exactly that. They'd tell me that they don't want to risk the corgi hair coming back coarse which never made sense to me if you weren't shaving her to the skin. Didn't even stay for our appointment, and would never leave our dog here. Service over the phone was short and not very welcoming, but just wrote that off as maybe they were busy. Walked into a place that looked more like a hang out for people off the street then a business. Unprofessional language, clothing, and care of animals that we could see. 30 seconds of meeting "Dawn" and don't care if your the best groomer in town, you will never be touching our dog. We were treated very aggressively and rude when we tried to provide our dogs vaccine info, and she said she "doesn't need that, and do we want our dog groomed or not" . I don't understand how you can be running a business with hundreds of dogs coming through and you don't check for rabies proof and let alone kennel cough? This tells us you just care about the money. Also a place with a owner with this kind of aggressive behavior, I can't imagine how she would behave with a dog when she was frustrated. Also place looks like a hoarders house that's obsessed with hot pink. Take you dog somewhere reputable and professional, not here. read more

Where do I even start let's just start by saying I'm someone who isn't easily impressed and you can see it all over my face as a person. I brought my Great Dane and Yorkie to Dawn for the first time today and the moment I got there I was all over the place I'm 6 months pregnant with a huge dog and had to try and catch a little dog running around and she just came up and helped without hesitation a real life saver ! So I left my babies there for about three hours with high anxiety I've never had good experiences with groomers being someone who worked at PetSmart groomers previously I won't even take my pets there but I was pleasantly surprised once I saw my little princess I asked for a teddy bear cut with fur on the legs and that's exactly what I got! And my big boy looked so handsome and shiny! They will definitely be making there monthly visits with dawn again and I will be recommending to all my friends and family. This is probably the best place to take your pet if he or she is scared of going to the groomers. Everyone here is very patient and loving towards animals. I can tell my dog is treated well. They did a great job with my beast of a basset hound Remington. He hates getting his toenails trimmed and Dawn and her staff paid special attention to him and got his claws down to a manageable level. He is soft and smells wonderful! Hands down the best place to have your pet groomed. I have a long haired big shepherd who loves Dawn! He is well cared for by her and she is always looking out for him beyond just bathing or grooming . She notices any problems with skin, fleas etc. and provides extra TLC and spa treatment to remedy any issue . She is a master at her craft and has a heart of gold. I have an all white Persian kitty I brought in to Dawn the other day. He came out looking amazing! Winston is usually a pretty easy going cat, but when I took him to a different place other than Dawn's a couple of months ago, he came back to me shaking he was so terrified. They even told me my poor baby had peed himself :( Needless to say, I was a little nervous dropping him off. Dawn, however, really is the cat whisperer! I picked Winston up and he was purring!!! Today was the first time I have ever come here. I have heard some bad things about this place but I am glad I took my cat Twinkie. She is a pain when it comes to doing her nails. But she was in and out in a few minutues with Dawn. We live right across the street from here so it was nice not needing to book appointment. Dawn is called the cat whisperer for a reason... Because she can trim the nails and shave your cat in literally 10 minutes flat. You can even watch her do it if you want. No harnesses, no straps, no cat hissing. Just a firm but gentle grasp of the cats nape and it's magical to watch. One of my cats is a total pushover, so i wasn't too worried about her. The other cat is the devil's spawn when taking a bath, so i was a bit worried about him. She made it look so easy that i wonder if she actually possesses a super human power. Like that time wolverine was a bar room boxing champion. She came highly recommended from (get this) another pet groomer who i called on yelp. Dawn was awesome with my cat (an already temperamental cat when it comes to grooming), who was definitely not happy at having spent 2 hours at Pinkiepoo in his cage - which was placed in front of the dog kennels before Pinkiepoo even attempted to groom him. She was able to fit him in that day for a complete wash, shave, and nail trim in less time than it took Pinkiepoo to attempt to groom him. My girlfriend brought my little Yorkie puppy here today and I can't believe how well he turned out ! It couldn't have been easy he's out of control and hard to handle when I try to hold him still so I don't know how she did it she's amazing .. She got him right in and didn't insist on crating him all day like most places, he was in and out in less then 3 hours . I have been taking my dog "Bella", a LabradoodIe to Dawn for several years now. I am VERY PARTICULAR about how I like my dog cut and groomed and Dawn has always strived to meet my specific requests. I tried other groomers but they either don't cut my dog as well or leave razor rash from rushing the job. Dawn also uses a Dremel on the nails which I think does a superior job of finishing the nails more smoothly so they do not catch or tear on anything. Try her. I took my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to Dawns for grooming. In my opinion, a Cavi is one of the most beautiful dogs around. However, my dog Enzo looked like a manic furr ball that had tangled with a static electricity machine. She worked some type of magic on him!! She thinned out the "cotton batting" undercoat and left his beautiful long, silky outer coat. He is a beautiful, regal looking dog again and can carry his breed's name proudly. I had been looking for a new groomer since I had moved to Sacramento a year ago. I found one but just didn't have that warm fuzzy feeling. So I continued my search and what to my surprise??? I found Dawn's Pet Palace. From the minute I walked in to the time I picked my pup up I felt so comfortable. I'm one of those owners that when my dog is getting groomed I have a pit in my stomach because I am just afraid someone is hurting my baby. Not one minute did I even get that feeling. When i called the owner to let her know she told me she didn't notice that and she though she was in heat.
