The Food & Wine Pairing: The Main: Ordered the warm, buttered lobster roll and added the optional 15 grams of Kaluga caviar. The execution was superb; the lobster was sweet and perfectly cooked. The briny brightness of the caviar provided a precise counterpoint to the rich, warm butter. The Sides: Served with excellent, well-salted french fries accompanied by ketchup and a high-quality aioli. The Wine: Paired the dish with a Grüner Veltliner, which had the exact acidity needed to cut through the richness of the butter and complement the seafood. It turns out Material World has been here long before the Nora District sprang up. Material World is owned by Rachelle Tenace. Although the showroom is small, there is a carefully curated selection of colorful dresses, jewelry, pillows, sandals, hats, scarves, and other unique items from world wide artisans. Rachelle also sells some of her own handmade jewelry. In the back is Rachelle's custom fabric businesses and she purchases her material also mainly from overseas. She sells the fabric to wholesalers who in turn sell to interior designers. Everything in this cute shop is so colorful, bright, and cheerful. Purchases made through Material World help to support struggling artists around the world. I love how you can purchase something for yourself or as a gift and help someone else at the same time.
