My recent experience with their office manager, Annissa, made it clear that verifying insurance eligibility is not a procedure she cares to follow. At my cleaning appointment on 7/7/26, I was told they would also be taking X‑rays. At checkout, I was charged $97. When I asked why, I was told these were my "every 3‑year X‑rays." I reminded them that my insurance covers that. After checking, they admitted my 3‑year X‑ray would not be eligible until 8/8/26 -- 31 days later. They performed it too early. The office should have verified my eligibility before doing the X‑ray. I called on 7/14/26 and spoke with Annissa to request a refund. She said she would call me back that day or the next. She did not call either day. On the third day, at 3:20 PM, I called again. She told me they would "honor" my refund request, as if it were a favor. She then tried to justify doing the X‑ray early by saying they "needed to do it." When I told her they should have waited until I was eligible, she doubled down and insisted it was a necessary diagnostic X‑ray. I told her I am not arguing about whether it's necessary -- I simply do not want X‑rays performed before insurance eligibility. She then said she would put in my chart that I "do not want diagnostic treatment," which is not what I said. That was twisting my words. She ended the call by saying I would receive my refund. As of today, I still have not received my refund.

I had a 2 part deep cleaning completed at this facility which was not cheap that I paid mostly out of pocket for. Going forward I thought I would be receiving regular cleanings which was not the case. After my first regular cleaning I was told it was not a cleaning but was considered periodontic maintenance so it was not covered by my insurance and I had to pay out of pocket. The activities they completed were exactly the same as I've received from other dentists that were considered a cleaning. I asked when paying why it wasn't considered a cleaning and was told all things go forward would always be considered periodontic maintenance and nothing ever from that point would be considered a cleaning as I had a deep clean in the past. I told them I didn't agree with that and they asked if I wanted to speak to someone higher up in the office, the receptionist was very calm about this which tipped me off that this happens all the time. I let them know I would be going elsewhere going forward and cancelled my future appointments.

Before we even got started with the cleaning and exam we sat down with the staff and they went over everything so my son would know what was going to happen. This made my son feel included in his oral care not just there to have somebody poke around in his mouth. Amy talked to my son and made him feel like he had a say in what happened. Dr McClure then came and introduced himself and did some magic that really made my son feel at ease. Then they brought my son back for his X-rays and cleaning. Ms. Sheila was so kind and gentle doing his X-rays and made the process very easy for him. Ms. Lisa is a saint that's all there is to it. While she cleaned my son's teeth she kept making sure he was fine and included him so he would understand what she was doing and what he needs to do to improve on for the next time. After the cleaning during the exam Doctor McClure again went through everything with us and gave us a report card that summarized what they had done, how my son was doing, and what we need to do before our next visit.
