I'm not usually into donuts because i work like a dog to keep my weight down. However, Daylight Donuts is quite amazing. These donuts have it all: great flavor, light, light, light that they might float away. On our way back to Del Rio, we chose half a dozen. These people had a unique thing- if you choose filled donuts, they have a selection of"jellies and cream or puddings for you to choose from then they will fill it right there for you. Clever! These donuts tasted so great like french pastries.And even 2 days later, they tasted great! And you are satisfied with one donut because they taste Amazing! You've got to try the cinnamon bread crumb covered donut. Hey! It's a (light) yeast donut, not a dense cake donut! Fantastic! The family and the young woman who served me are very nice!!

Hubby tried their mini-kolaches but said they were dry and not that great. Ended up eating the full sized one we bought, that's what kept them from 5! However... Great prices, yummy donuts and an awesome location right by the 635 & 75 interchange!

I absolutely love this place. the smell of donuts and cakes in the morning is the best feeling in the world. The nice Korean lady greeted me warmly and warmed up my kolaches and the service was wonderful. A dozen donut holes hit the right spot. Always go to a Korean place for donuts. Not dunkin not Shipley. Korean places makes the best donuts in the world. Their dough are soft and their glaze sugar on top is sweet and fresh! Things like these are the reason I wake up in the morning.

They have donuts i've never even seen before let alone tasted. On top of everything the customer service is amazing !!! I went in today for my first time and was given extra free goodies !! Great donut shop with really nice owners. All your typical donut varieties, and their donut holes taste amazing. They also have cheeseless sausage kolaches, which is really hard to find! They have an okay coffee setup, but lots of brand name beverages you can purchase. They also have tons of parking nearby so it's easy to dart in and out! read more

Great little donut shop at the corner of LBJ and Coit, adjacent to the Hi-5. You will see Subway first, then look next door and there they are. Have been coming here for years now and the donuts are always fresh and delicious. Their sausage rolls are pretty good too. read more

Regular shemgular donut spot. I came because of the reviews and now scenting experiencing the donuts for myself, I get why it has 4-stars. The staff are friendly. Don't get me wrong the donuts are decent but nothing to go out of your way for. A standard donut shop for someone on the go or stopping st the nearby Starbucks. read more

Tasty no-nonsense classic donuts. I ordered a dozen mixed and half a dozen kolaches. The old fashioned donuts are my favorite. I'm munching on a strawberry old fashioned right now and it is so good. They also threw in a bucketload of donut holes for free, and those are super fresh and yummy. read more

First of all, forget about thinking this place comes anywhere close to the 4 1/2 stars listed. That may have been under the old management. Now, I can't see any reason to muster up a rating of 1 star. And frankly, here's an opportunity for anyone out there that would like to open up a donut shop at a very lucrative location, you would be rewarded nicely while putting these guys out of business, which is hard to believe they are hanging on. I live around the corner from this place and go there every Wednesday. These new operators, a couple of "kids", no nothing about business, nothing about customer service and maybe only minimally skilled in donut making, which must not interest them very much as I walked in at 9am this morning only to find a total of maybe 12-15 donuts in the case and no one around making anymore. One young guy at the counter and that was it. People were flowing in behind me and I'm thinking, what's going to be left for them to purchase? This wasn't just an off day. I came by a couple weeks back at the same time and the place was closed altogether. I guess the kids decided to sleep in that day and not bother to open at all. No sign of explanation on the door. The donuts I did buy sucked. It was a plain that I got which to me, is a good indicator of the quality of their donut making. My guess is they are trying to run this place on a shoestring as they didn't even have anymore napkins to offer. I'm serious about letting prospective entrepreneurs know that a well run, good quality, friendly donut shop at this intersection (LBJ + 75, the High Five), will almost guarantee sure success. Let's put these guys out of business (if they don't beat you to it) read more

Daylight Donuts is a little shop located in a shopping center near Starbucks and Subway at the intersection of 635 and Coit. They don't serve trendy donuts with out of the ordinary toppings. They serve your basic glazed donuts, sausage rolls, and other sweet rolls. I wouldn't say their items are any better than another similar shop's baked goods, but every time I have stopped by, the food has been hot and freshly made. In addition, the staff has always been friendly. It's convenient to where I work, so I'll always stop by when I'm in need of a koloche. read more

The is is definitely a solid choice for donuts. Their glazed donuts are soft and fairly light (not Krispy Kreme light, but fairly light). The sausage rolls are also very good, the bread for those is delicious. The only negative I have is that I feel like I never get hot off the grease donuts. Although the donuts I've had there have always been very fresh, it's just not quite the same as getting one fresh from the grease. They also don't have a huge variety of donuts, so if you're looking for tons of choices you may want to go elsewhere. They will have all of your standard donuts though (glazed, chocolate, sprinkles, cake). read more

I was staying in the hotel just across the parking lot and walked down for coffee and donuts. This place is now called Coit Rd Donuts. Friendly staff, fast service and really good donuts! I got a pineapple turnover that was delicious and reminded me of pineapple upside down cake. read more

I was expecting a typical strip center nothing special donut shop. I was a bit surprised. The place was nice and clean and the gentleman behind the counter was genuinely very nice. The donuts I tasted were very light and fluffy. The pastry on the kolache was very light and buttery. They offered other breakfast items besides donuts and kolaches. Although I am not a regular donut person, I will definitely be back again. read more

They have a few tables and chairs inside and outside for sitting. The tarts are amazing and definitely recommend you take one to go. The croissants are delicious, buttery, and flaky. The coffee is a nice addition but, the main attraction is the bakery! The bakery is in the Bishop Arts area so, you can find some free parking depending on when you visit. On the weekends, the line will move fast so, don't be afraid to wait.

The story she shared with us that day was truly inspiring, it was clear that this wasn't just a business, but a passion built from purpose and heart. Recently, I made the drive to her current shop in Irving, Texas. It's a bit of a distance for me, but I truly enjoy supporting businesses like this. The new location is such a step up cute, welcoming, and in a great area. I treated myself to butter pecan ice cream with Fruity Pebbles, and it honestly reminded me that even as an adult, it's okay to enjoy the little things that bring happiness. I highly recommend that the business remains in this location; the community was incredibly welcoming and clearly excited to have ZZ's Ice Cream there. Amazingly, we got to try them all and with all the salty, savory food we started to look for some dessert to balance out our palate. That's when we stumbled on a stand that advertised cake balls. Yup. CAKE BALLS. We were all pretty full, but still wanted to try them all. I mean, when you're presented with the choice of Snickers, Oreos, Butterfinger, Cinnamon and Sugar, [Fruity] Pebbles, or Cherry Glaze it's pretty hard to single out the best flavor. I ended up getting their 3 most popular ones: Snickers, Butterfinger and Pebbles. There's one thing that you need to know about these cake balls. They're not like any other you've tasted. Usually, cake balls are made from a mixture of cake batter with a lot of icing to keep it moist. Beckett's method is to use a donut hole as the base encased in a layer of their own special frosting with your choice of candy or cereal. It sounds simple and mundane, but I can assure you that these were some of the best cake balls I've ever had in my life. The donut base was pillowy and moist. With the super sweet frosting it melded perfectly into what seemed like a piece of heaven in every bite. The crushed candy was the icing on the cake, per say, adding different flavors and textures to each ball. I really can't explain it more than I have. It was just pure awesomeness. In an environment where pretty much everything is fried it was a welcome surprise to find a stand that served something different. I spoke with the owners and they said they were in the process of relocating their business from Tulsa, OK to Dallas. Their presence in the Big D will allow us to enjoy some of these awesome cake balls year round instead of having to wait until the State Fair runs each year. Happy dance. If you're looking for something different keep your eyes peeled for Beckett's. I'm sure you will enjoy their cake balls as much as I did.

The beignets were made fresh to order and took about 7 minutes to come out. They were hot, soft, and very fluffy, almost more similar to a donut than a traditional beignet. Since most of my beignet experience comes from New Orleans, Louisiana, I definitely had a different texture in mind going in. I personally wish they had been a little crispier, especially around the edges, but they were still decent and enjoyable. Overall, I had a good experience. Between the welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, good coffee, and fresh beignets, I would definitely try Le Bon Temps again without hesitation.

I got the scallops and loved them, especially since I was able to try their orzo with it that normally comes with the salmon instead. The scallops were tender and the flavor was rich and well balanced with the rest of the plate. My boyfriend loved his chops and devoured everything. He also got the Potatoes Au Gratin and couldn't get enough. They were very rich and had great flavor. I had previously seen reviews from others saying the potatoes and other dishes were bland but that was not our experience. The rolls were one of the best parts. I wish I could whip butter like that at home. Towards the end they brought us a couple of glasses of Prosecco to cheers with, and a complimentary dessert (the Samoa sundae).
