Recommend by many, I made it a mission to stop by Daynight at least once, and that one trip was not enough! The selection is out of this world. Donuts of all kind, filled with so many different creams and fillings. My husband and I reluctantly settled on a half dozen, although my heart really wanted a full. Our pickings: Strawberry Frosted - A regular ring donut with sweet strawberry frosting and sprinkles. I'm sure when I ate this donut it was barely out of the oven. It was so fluffy and delicious. A+ Blueberry Crumb - A fluffy Berliner filled with blueberry jelly and topped with glaze and a cinnamon sugar topping. First thing I noticed about this guy was how heavy he was! They were generous with the jelly. Absolutely wonderful! Maple Bar - Just like any other maple bar I've had, to be honest, but still great! Maple Frosted Bavarian - Berliner with a generous amount of Bavarian cream, not as much as the jelly one though. Sooo good. ...and I completely forgot what the last two were. However I can tell you that the entire half dozen was gone between my husband and I not more than 3 hours later, so that tells you how much we enjoyed them! 10/10 would return!

Oh DayNight.... Service tonight was fantastic! She was happy and had great recommendations. I think I chose poorly cause my heart shaped maple cream was well stuffed with a "plasticky" gelatinous filling that is not allowed to be called "cream filling"! Cinnamon twist was a great recommendation! Loved it and the chocolate French crullers was moist and flavorful. But I have to say it was super airy! Ice cream is from Umpqua which by most standards is one of the best! There are a ton of donuts to choose from! I wish I had time in the stomach to taste them all! You can even get a scoop of ice cream right on top of your donut!

Donuts are very good. Service needs work. Younger girl said total was 13 then it switched to 15. Dosent make sense got half a dozen donuts which is 9.49 and a small iced coffee 2.50 then the 75¢ card fee. All comes out to 15 bucks I guess. Service needs work donuts are good. She also smushed my donuts in the bag

Never again will I go to Daynight donuts the one on commercial st. My son Hayden wanted donuts before school so we stopped since it's on the way. The lady was very rude. I was picking up a dozen trying to pick my last 2 when she said she didn't have time to wait for me because there was people behind me. Wow really? You are in the middle of helping someone and you are rude and try to rush them? When I mentioned that she said because I took too long (which I did not I wasn't even in that place for 8 minutes tops the whole time even waiting my turn to be helped plus having to step aside to wait for the biscuits and gravy I ordered ) she lost a customer that walked out. She said I have people come in on their way to work that need to be helped. OKAY the way she said that made me think because I came in with my comfy clothes on I wasn't as important as people that are working. Lady I'm at this time working 2 jobs with 1 day off a week. I will never go back to that place again! I WOULD RATHER GO TO KING DONUTS ON STATE STREET BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAY BETTER TASTING DONUTS it's a little out of my way but it's 100% better than daynight donuts read more

the service was terrible the vibe was awful and to top it off the worker said I don't have time for that when me and my friend ordered some donut holes with a smug look on her face like I don't take orders from you, like he\\ that's your job the only good thing was the biscuits and gravy some of the donuts were even wet I'm now starting to think that she spit on them when my head was turned, all I know now is that I'm most likely not going to go there ever again read more

Didn't really like the customer service. I go in and order for me and my son and the staff wasn't the friendliest, we sat down and ate just him and I. We got done and I went to order something for the wife that was at home sick and the total was $4.78. She said because it's below $5 they must charge an extra 0.25 cents........... Woah what??? I just spent $8 here 15 mins ago and haven't left the establishment. I then complained in a calm manner and also said that other companies has been sued for this practice, I was still charged. I proceeded to ask for the management info (his name is Mike Mungra). The manager on duty said I was charged because I agreed to the terms by saying "whatever I just wanna go and not come back". She then stayed that if I didn't Agree they wouldn't have charged it, but because I "agreed" their lawyer says I can't fight it in court. We shall see about that, this is another case of corporate greed. I again spent first $8 ish and then $4.78 but still paid the fee when I didn't even leave???? Horrible service at this location. read more

My daughter got their strawberry matcha and declared it better than any she had in Japan. It had strawberry puree on the bottom and was dusted with strawberry on top. We also tried their seasonal latte, which was good! This will be a must visit anytime we are remotely near Salem and we would love to see them open a spot in Portland! The doughnuts here are okay since i'm allergic to choclate my options are pretty limited when it comes to doughnuts. Came in here late one night and wanted some doughnuts, so I went up to order the girl behind the counter looked miserable, and like she would rather be else where then workthing there on a saturday night. I can understand how that feels so I excused it as I ordered I told her that I am allergic to chocolate and if she could use a different wax paper to grab the non chocolate doughnuts, and place them in their own bag. Didn't want to risk getting any cholcate near them. She placed them in another bad but acted like she was going out of her way, and she didn't use a different wax paper. I didn't want to explain to her twice that im deathly allergic to choclate! So paid and left annoyed. It's not like I was asking her to do a big favor for me. I won't ever be returing here I always get the worst customer service, plus the doughnuts suck. I might as well go to walmart or safeway. read more

I am so thankful that we live in the age of social media when word can be spread about the disgustingly insulting and ignorant acts of a business. Do not go to this establishment, unless of course to give out a small piece of justice by giving the owners a lesson in how to be a decent human being. Best donut place in Salem. Open 24/7. Great customer service. Great selection, and they even have frozen yogurt. Their coffee is good and I found out they have biscuits and gravy, defiantly going to try that next time. Overall an amazing shop. read more
