My son is an Airman in Cheyenne. He and his fiance tied the knot yesterday at the Courthouse and since we weren't able to come into town, we wanted to give them a quick night away from the Airbase. My wife booked the room for them and when he went to check-in, they tried turning him away since he lives in Cheyenne. it was only when he explained that he lived on base that they allowed him to check-in. The pool drain was clogged with hair and the hot tub wasn't working. All of which should've been explained when my wife booked the room and explained the situation to whoever took the booking. The bathtub was also filthy. They ended up just leaving and going back to the Airbase. Thanks for ruining their wedding night. read more

The pool was so gross my kid would not put her feet in it. The shower had a blood, rust or some sort of crazy stain (see pic), two of our towels had other peoples pubic hair on them and parts of the floor were sticky. I would sleep in my car before staying here again. read more

I have stayed in Wyndham owned hotels before and chose Days Inn on that basis. I was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the staff, the spaciousness of the room we had (rear building) and how accommodating they were. We had some unusual requests and they were always polite and gracious. The price was reasonable, breakfast was good, manager friendly, professional, helpful, and accessible. Easy parking. We stayed for two months, so the small fridge was a welcome addition. There's a microwave, coffee maker, and the beds were super comfortable. We were happy with the entire experience. Thank you to the manager and staff of Days Inn for making a potentially awful experience the best it could have been. read more

I selected this hotel for my stay here for a week for work. The hotel breakfast was not very good and that was one of the main reasons I chose this location was because it had a continental breakfast. The food was super bland and wasn't the greatest quality in the heat preservers the rim that I was assigned did not have a thermostat control that has a constant fan setting so it got pretty hot at night and made it very difficult to get a good nights rest, especially being right next to the interstate and W. Lincoln Way without having a fan to drown out the outside noise from traffic or other people in the building. The gym equipment is very outdated or broken so it makes it hard to get a diverse workout in while out of town for more than a week. I would not stay here in the future. The staff was very friendly and helpful, that was probably the only good part about this hotel. read more

Some of the friendliest folks at check-in! I also dug the well-decorated and unique lobby. We had a nice, spacious room with a relatively comfortable bed. Since we had our dog, they also put us near an exit door, which made it easy for us to do our walks. There's a pet friendly area with grass between the hotel and train. Very nice property. Stayed in 153 - great room very spacious and clean. Adult kids were in 143 and had ants in their tub and tub drain emptied very slow. Asked to move out of 143, rooms were available and manager refused to work with Wyndham rewards to make that happen. Ants were addressed but drain was not. Try to stay in the "Tower"! And if using Wyndham rewards don't expect the best of service out of the front desk - and yes it was during Frontier Days but they did have rooms available. Breakfast was amazing!! The hotel was nice. The room was great. Front desk customer service was excellent. However the breakfast was something to be desired. They had cereal, milk, juice, and waffles. If they would just have done that it would be ok. But, the chef who prepared the breakfast potato, sausage, and egg in the crock pot. Yuck! This place is awful. Stains everywhere looking like rust - manure - boogers - etc. We originally went for a family reunion vacation. It reaked of mil-due, cat pee, must and cigarettes aswell. We got a weird eerie vibe from the place, the fire alarms were messed up and went off 3 times, the photos you see from the hotel are from 13+ years ago. Some members of our family laid on the pillows found a BLOOD STAIN ON THE PILLOW - and family had gotten red hive-like spots all over, and experienced irritation around the eye. Doors were loud, ugly overall, etc. One of the photos was photoshopped poorly, having an white outline among the trees, questionable stains, walls were knocked on and were made through a sort of concrete. I hesitated to stay at "Day's Inn" because my last experience with this franchise was seriously horrid. But this particular location is fantastic! I found the room CLEAN, spacious, and welcoming. They have a mini fridge, hair dryer, in room safe, iron and ironing board. Their late night "light snack" is a joke, and therefore... 4 star rating instead of 5. Don't advertise this, people.... just put a bowl of crackers out and let people have some. Their late night snack was some spicy peanut/ salty trail mix and NO drinks or alternatives. I imagined in my head::: oh, late night snack: cookies, milk, fruit, muffin.... nope, it's trail mix, so don't beat yourself up hauling ass down I-80 to get here on time. But seriously, this is a great facility, after all, you are here to sleep and get back on the road! Breakfast was your typical inn style breakfast. They got good ratings from the health department, and their food was kept at the perfect temperature! They offered milk, coffee, tea, orange juice and apple juice, 2 kinds of cereal, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, potatoes, and they have a mini waffle maker that is fun. So as a business traveler, here are my needs: Room to spread out. I don't want to be weaving my way through a room that is overloaded with unnecessary furniture. A room layout that makes sense. That is to say, I need space on the bathroom counter; I need the desk to be clear; I don't need unnecessary lamps and chairs. One is plenty, if it's strategically placed. I want a comfortable bed and a decent tv. And good coffee. I want good coffee in the morning. I'd trade powdered eggs and stale bagels for just a good, strong cup of joe. Now I know that families traveling probably have different needs. For example, you may really need that assortment of sugared cereal in the morning. But not me. This Days Inn is pretty typical of a budget motel. Here's the good: Fairly comfortable beds. Free wifi. Nice little pool; awesome hot tub. Very friendly and helpful staff. Truly. Quick and easy access to I-25. The downside: Rooms are dowdy and in need of renovation. We were told there was a newer section. I'm always amazed at why hotels don't fill these rooms up? At any case, ask for a room in the newer section if you decide to stay here. In my room, there was a microwave on the desk; a coffee maker in the bathroom; way more furniture than needed; and cable that went in and out both nights I was there. I also had to keep the curtains closed at all times because my room was directly across from the other section and we could all see into each other's rooms. Overall, a typical budget experience. If free breakfast is important to you, Days Inn may be your keeper. read more

We felt right at home when we walked in the doors after 27 hours on the road. We had a nice upgrade and the pool/ spa area were wonderful to relax in. The only reason I didn't do a 5 star is because of a broken closet door that fell into pieces when we looked for the ironing board and a average complimentary breakfast. If I could give this a 3 1/2 I would. This hotel looks old but when we got to our room it was beautiful. The beds and pillows we so soft and comfy. There were a few tips in the floor and the light switches were a little dirty. One light switch that turned on one lamp and there is a stain on it. My mom and I stayed here for two nights this last week and over all we had an enjoyable stay. Room was nice, beds were comfy and the shower pressure was awesome. Only downfalls were there were no elevators which luckily we had minimal luggage but would be a huge inconvenience for elderly or disabled people. I was confused because there were still signs saying there were elevators so I think there needs to be a sign somewhere stating otherwise. The hotel is two stories and pretty nice on the inside. The continental breakfast was good, pretty basic. The price was awesome and the staff was very friendly so I would stay here again. read more

My family has been on the road for a week and this hotel was the last stop for us. It was by far the best place we stayed at the entire trip! We stayed in a room with a king and bunk beds. My kids loved the bunk beds and we all slept so good. The ladder for the bunk beds is removable which does give me concern but the kids did ok with it. We also tried out the pool. They not only had your big pool but also a kiddie pool with a fountain. My 4 and 3 year old had a blast and are still asking to go swimming. The breakfast was great and staff were very friendly. One downside, there was a charge for using the safe in the room. There was no mention of a charge anywhere around the safe or in the room, it just showed up on my bill. All in all if we drive through Cheyenne again we will be staying here! read more

I am a diamond member of the Wyndham club. I travel pretty frequently for work. My membership was not addressed, which is whatever, but I didn't get my points nor my automatic upgrade. What I did get, however, was a muggy smelling room with enough hair in the tub to make a wig and a drain that wouldn't go down. I went down to let the front desk guy know and he didn't really seem to care. Got moved to a room next to it.. there were still a couple hairs in the tub. Tub drained slowly but better. And a couple of the towels had long thick black and white hairs. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!!! But decided to suck it up and deal because telling Michael at the front desk was not going to get anything done. He did not care regardless. Front desk gentleman needs to lose his attitude. What a great place to stay. When we called to book three rooms for one night the person who setup the reservation was extremely helpful. Once we arrived at the hotel the front desk had our key cards ready so within 2 minutes we were heading to our rooms. The rooms were clean, the furniture looked new and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast had a much better selection then most of the hotels I've visit. Hotels.com made an error and put me in a smoking room which didn't seem appealing at all after 9 hours on the road. Days inn only had pet friendly rooms left. I'm allergic to many animals so it was s tough choice. They let me look in the pet friendly room first and I was pleasantly surprised you couldn't even tell pets had ever been in here. Ahh, yelp. One of the many flaws: a single rating is not reflective of all the aspects which make up a location. You need more than a single rating to sum up the opinion on a particular establishment - whether it is the ambience, the food, the cleanliness, there is more than just a single set of stars. I don't think even the text of a review will make up for that. Oh well. With that said, I stayed at this Days Inn for a single night on a moment's notice - it was en route to Wyoming. What was the end result? A moderately decent establishment - the rooms were clean, but there is no chance whatsoever that what they claim is a queen bed is that. Maybe a standard, but how can I have a queen at home, a queen at a cabin, and a queen at a hotel which are entirely different sizes? The mind boggles. Anyway, the room was pretty nice and not that expensive - so no complaints about that. Then we get to the food - standard fare hotel food, which means - carbs and protein, with HFCS in liquid form available. What do I mean? Potatoes/bagels/muffins. Sausages/bacon/eggs. Artificial juices. The potatoes were almost crunchy they were so overcooked, the bagels were ok, and the muffins were those tiny lemon poppyseed things you can buy at just about any grocery store premade. Then the sausages looked about standard fare, bacon as well, and the eggs were straight up gross. Then those weird del monte juices which say "natural flavors" which is short for "We crushed up some bugs or other random crap to add flavor along with HFCS". I try to eat healthy now and I can tell the difference when something is artificially sweetened - not to mention that the dispensers themselves looked a bit dirty. In short: do not plan on eating this breakfast for taste - it may fill your stomach, but it's not even remotely quality. Let's just say that Robert Irvine would shut down their kitchen. So the room? 4-5 stars. The bed? 2 stars. The food? I guess a 3. However, I think the highest priority is sleeping, so I leave it at that. read more

I planned to stop in Cheyenne for a night, so I looked on Yelp and Hotels.com to find a quality but affordable hotel. Both websites rated Days Inn pretty highly (around 4/5 stars), so I quickly booked a room online. First off, the front desk staff quickly checked me in which was great especially after an exhausting 1k mile drive. Once I got the keys, I went upstairs to my room, and as I opened the door, I was met with the stench of tobacco. Now this wasn't a mild odor either. It was the most pungent cigarette smell I've faced in years. Hell, I bet standing next to a smoker while he blazed up would have been easier on my nose. Most people would have demanded another room, but I knew that Days Inn was fully booked for the night and didn't want to bother. Plus, after 13 hours of driving, all I really wanted to do was grab something to eat and pass out. Okay, my room smelled really bad, but if you ignore that part, the suite was actually really nice. The room had a fairly large flat screen (around 30-32''), cable TV (with HBO, USA Network, etc), free wireless internet (which was FAST btw), huge bed, couch, refrigerator, and a clean bathroom. Days Inn should have been a 4/5 star, but that cigarette smell... *shudders* I don't even want to be reminded of it. **I think the room was 242 (2nd floor, last room in the hallway facing the train tracks). Somebody tell housekeeping to leave a febreze can in the suite for the next guests--they'll probably be less forgiving. read more

I decided to write my first yelp review about this hotel cos we had such a great stay here. My girlfriend, my dog, Sid and I are doing a cross country trip NY to SF, so i will be yelping the shit out of everything. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is really nice. The free breakfast is the best I've ever had at any hotel. Cheesy eggs n potato, bacon n sausage and even fresh waffles and fruit. They only charged a $5 pet fee for my pitbull that most hotels wont even accept. There was even a freight yard across the street to put some of my paint to use in. Patti at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We got a smoking room and had no problems about burning some bud in there too. One of the comforters had some sticky shit on it but i just let my dog sleep on that bed. I would definitely stay here again if i ever pass thru this town again.. The rates were the best in the area..im a thrifty shopper so i do my homework. Oh and the Patti even informed me how often the cops patrolled the freight yard across the street i wanted to paint in. What I liked: Free wi-fi Free parking Nice employees The ability to cancel on the same day up until 6:00 p.m. What I didn't like: The room's entrance is essentially the bathroom. The sink area is separate from the bathtub/shower and toilet, but I still don't like feeling like I'm walking right into the bathroom. I reserved a room with a King bed, but was given a room with two Queen beds without being told that's what I was being given. I hate that. I still would've been annoyed if I'd been told about the change when I checked in. I don't ever seem to be able to get a King bed even when I reserve one, and I really hate that. At least my coworkers got rooms with King beds. I had to call repeatedly to get the rate advertised online. Although the wi-fi is free, the signal is really weak, so you're probably going to have to log on repeatedly. Something to note: There's a train track nearby, so you might start hearing the train whistle at 4:30 a.m. I didn't, but a light sleeper probably would. read more

Clean, nice enough staff, good breakfast. Get there at least 45 minutes before the breakfast closes because they will not refill the eggs or potatoes once they are so close to breakfast closing time. Waffle maker is great, but I wished they had two since it takes two and a half minutes for each person to make waffles. Taking a star away for closing the pool down when the pool was the main reason we booked this hotel for two days. The only reason we chose this hotel was because of it's pet policy, and that's probably the only reason we will stay here in the future. I had tried several hotels, and none had rooms, due to a "game," there! I was tired of driving and felt endangered; drowsy at looking on the highway, for Black Ice! Signs and lights were everywhere to advise you! Anyway, I pulled in here around 0500! We got a nice room, with two queen beds! They have an extraordinary Chef on site, who serves an awesome breakfast daily, until 1000. The desk clerk was wonderful, and this is the finest Days Inn, (a Wyndham Hotel) that I have ever stayed in! They have a plethora of amenities, from a pool, jacuzzi, spa, business center, weight room . . . . Everything! They are well layed out, have an elevator, a washer & dryer for guests. Everything! I highly recommend them, and I would choose them again, over other hotels/motels in the vicinity, every time! I am not easily impressed, but they have "stepped up" their game! Just got off the phone with the unfriendly manager Susan. Ended up hanging up on her condescending attitude. When I checked in, I was told the $220 pet fee for 3 pets, 4 night stay would be WAIVED if no damage. She admitted my crated dogs left zero damage. Then referred to the document I signed that it was a daily no refundable fee. Wow. The night clerk should be fired for this misinformation and the manager should have waived it, given what I was told. Almost a $600 fee for 4 nights in a DAYS INN room that had dust on the furniture and in the bathroom vent. The toilet had also been used (there were chunks of cheese in it) when we checked in. The room smelled like cat urine. Never again. I won't stay with Wyndham ever again. Not the first time they've screwed us. read more

For a budget hotel, this place was great! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable (though the pillows were a tad small). It had a fairly large indoor pool, jacuzzi, a workout room that was better than many more-expensive hotels I've stayed at, and a clean lobby. They were completely booked, but the young man at the front Luke, went out of the way to identify any accommodations for the evening. After findimg us a room and having it cleaned, we got in and got a good nights rest. Luke then engaged me in great conversation. Telling us all about the town and the nuke base down the street. Let me start off by saying that the staff here is very friendly and inviting - which I think is so important and I do so appreciate!! That being said, we paid over $100 to stay in a room that smelled like pee. Now, we did ask for a pet friendly room so I'm assuming the others aren't as bad?? I just didn't realize "pet friendly" meant that we were basically staying in a pet relief station - we left the windows open the whole time and the smell still consumed us anytime we walked back in. Additionally, an alarm clock that I did not touch or set, went off at midnight. Not only did it wake me up, but it scared the sh*t out of me! I thought it was a fire alarm! Because of COVID-19, we didn't get access to the pool or gym and our "free continental breakfast" was a granola bar and a mini water. I understand these are tough and weird times and that safety precautions must be in place. But really? This experience was probably worth half of what we paid for :/ read more
