I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD!! the rooms are so fucking nasty! and they can't seem to make up their minds on the true price of fees! me and my sister did an online check in via the text they sent us in which we paid for early check in at 1pm for $20 extra dollars, then when i go check in they say it's $20 per hour early, which it didn't say on the website during the check in. fine whatever they offered to refund the extra $20 due to the discrepancy on the website vs in person. they gave me my room key and i went to go unload my car only to find out that room actually hasn't been cleaned yet. i go back to the front and ask to be switched rooms and he calls housekeeping and checks what rooms are clean and assigns me that one. okay great, go to new room and it's okay for a motel, then i realize there's a mysterious white stain on my bed, cool great. and then me and my sister are getting ready to go to bed when i notice a HUGE cockroach crawling up the wall! we brought this up to staff and asked for a refund so we could leave and they only offer 1 night refund which is ridiculous because i am NOT staying there tonight when there's cockroaches in my room! they offered to give me the "nice room" because those don't have cockroaches... hmmm sure. find somewhere better! read more

I was here for a week and it was definitely not worth the stay. Upon check-in we found what seemed to be blood stains, and hair on our "freshly made beds". Immediately had to ask the housekeepers to change the sheets because we were not going to sleep on those. The floors were full of dirt, the tv wasn't working, and to top it off, the staff have no consideration when coming to your room to fix things. They just walk right in making themselves at home, no knocking, no announcements, just invasion. To add insult to injury, some rooms don't even have the extra latch to lock your room which again adds to these people just waltzing right into your room like it's their own. Then after watching the housekeepers clean rooms throughout the week, they never came to clean up ours. After the third day, I went to the lobby to ask if they could clean our room, and unfortunately that was pointless. Room still dirty, no fresh towels, sheets, or even toilet paper. The air conditioner smelled like mildew, and we even found mold in the restroom. I attached a picture of it. Safe to say we won't be returning again. Im just hoping this place sees this and uses it as a wake up call to clean up their rooms. Absolutely disgusting. read more

Absolute trash went opening day for dove season brought 2 executives from my work first time hunters, booked the room through Priceline 1 month in advance! Got it for$106 but aug31 the town was sold out the last rooms going for 350 plus, I get there they have a single bed for a booking of 4 people, they sold my room for a profit, I was forced to go to Walmart and buy air mattresses, I can't even explain how incompetent I looked,either Priceline or the hotel were willing to make things right! For a motel, this was the best value I've stayed in. The room was super spacious (see pics) and the hotel clerk was nice and I felt safe in that lot. They even upgraded their air conditioner to a unit that is controlled by a remote control. The floors were nice and the bathroom had upgraded fixtures. Great value! read more

Don't let the pictures deceive you. The first room smelled so bad like marijuana I needed a room change. The second room was no better. The toilet wouldn't flush and it looked dirty like it hadn't been clean. This was weird because the room smelled like bleach. Thankfully I was only here for one night. The receptionist was very nice and pleasant which is the only positive thing I can say about this place. I will not be returning anytime soon. read more

I actually found it very accommodating yeah there's a little ware and tear here and there but every hotel has it Nonna was the first person I met with and she was amazing she helped me with a lot of things even the little bit of things and had no attitude about it!!!!....all staff I've spoken to since check in has been welcoming and amazing in the morning on Saturday I let the front desk man know that there was a homeless lady sleeping on the stairs he immediately asked her to leave the hotel was very quiet although there were a lot of cars parked. We stayed at the Days Inn in El Centro for one night (studio room). Everything was okay, we had lots of space for our stuff. The room was clean, AC worked. The beds are a bit small for two people but we managed. Breakfast includes coffee and small, packaged baked goods. Good hotel for a night or two. read more

In town for a funeral and had to find a hotel without having any experience of what the town was like. I looked at all the hotel/motel websites and the reviews and chose to stay here. I have stayed in 200 hundred a night rooms to 50 a night. Grew up humble and now have extra money to spend. Lol. Anyways I do not like giving my money away so I will forever look for the best deals. You do get what you pay for so I do have requirements. Clean, comfy beds, value, safety clean shower and toilets. So over all room was nice. Pics on website are exactly the rooms you get. Fridge and microwave included in the price. Bed had clean sheets and it was comfy enough for me to not even wake up once that night. Safety, well I felt safe. The place could use a few palm trees in the parking lot to brighten up the place but other than that It was great. Value was great. I paid 115 for 2 nights. I would most definitely stay again. Oh and AC worked great, my room was 202 so closest to street and it did not bother me one bit. This placed deserved the 5 stars for sure read more

For the price, this hotel was relatively nice and updated. Since we booked last minute, we could only get a room with two beds that was nonsmoking. It's close to Mc Donald's and some other food places, and Id stay here again in a pinch. The reservation came with breakfast served in the office - mostly breads and juices. read more

So the outside isn't very impressive but the price is right! The rooms are sparkling clean and seem very new inside. Comfortable beds! Rooms seem on the larger side and there is plenty of space. Staying 4 nights because the border is closed and I have to be at work (have my 12 year old son with me). Very convenient location (within walking distance of historic downtown, DMV, government buildings, restaurants and grocery stores). 5 minutes by car to bank, Costco, Walmart and Target and about 10 minutes to the mall. Very friendly staff. The people that stay here seem to be professionals and construction workers. Free breakfast and part of the Wyndham rewards system. Large parking lot. read more

I booked 2 nights here and on the second day i left for the day leaving an uneaten box of pizza in the fridge, cookies in a ziplock bag on the desk, and my toothbrush, razor and toothpaste on the bathroom sink. ALL OF IT WAS THROWN AWAY!! Why would they do that?!? I even had a separate box that was empty in the trash so obviously I'm saving the one in the fridge. The cookies and pizza were something that was brought to me from my hometown 4 hours away so its not like I can go out and get more. Really dumb of someone to do that. Why won't Yelp allow half stars?! I really want to rate them 2.5. I just can't bring myself to give 3, but 2 seems harsh... The good: The price was reasonable at about $65. Not nearly as good as the $45 we'd spent the night before at Crown, but Crown was booked up for our second night, so we looked for the next best thing. $65 is still a lot better than many other options. The room was clean. When you're paying $45-$65 for a motel room, you might expect it to be a little iffy, but it was clean. The room was beautiful. Pretty bed, beautiful furniture. HUGE flat screen (for a motel, anyway), free cable, free WiFi. The room had a microwave and fridge. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows seemed comfortable too, if a little lofty. There was a continental breakfast in the lobby. I didn't eat there, but it looked like juice, coffee, yogurt, fruit, and probably pastries of some kind. They also have a parking lot big enough for big rigs. We only had our bobtail this time, but it was nice to know there was a place we could stay if we were hauling a trailer. Also, they were within walking distance of many stores and restaurants, which was great. So what was wrong with my room/stay? For starters, the fan in the bathroom wouldn't work AT ALL. It seemed like it should have its own switch, but neither of us could find it anywhere, and it didn't turn on with the light switch. The bathroom NEEDED a fan! I went to reception, but the only person working said they had no idea anything about it. There was no blanket on the bed, only sheets with a decorative runner across the foot area. WTAF? I mean, I know this is southern California and all, but some people still like blankets! They did not have curtains on the windows, only white blinds that let ALL the daylight in. So from the crack of dawn and on, the sunlight basically woke us up and kept us from falling back into any decent sleep. The people in the room next to us had a front door that squealed SO loudly every time they went in and out, it sounded like a screaming baby. Not kidding. And they went in and out a lot. If we were asleep, it was loud enough to wake us up every time. I don't know if it was due to the overly lofty pillows, or due to being awoken every 30 minutes, but I got up with a BAD crick in my neck. It's been more than 24 hours, now, and I still can barely turn my head. :'( Lastly, this one little thing isn't losing them a star, but it was still weird and irritating, so I thought it was worth mentioning: the toilet was SO close to the bathroom door that it was impossible to sit on it without your right leg pressing directly up against the door. Who the heck designed that?! Other than that, the bathroom was actually beautiful with an interesting sink, and what looked to be a nice tub. I wish I'd had a chance to try out the tub while I was there, but we didn't even have a chance to use the shower. Overall, I'd say a motel is a fail if you spend half the night debating just going out to sleep in your truck instead of the room you just paid for. As it was, I spent the morning sitting in my truck instead of my room. Oh, and their WiFi doesn't extend to the parking lot. :-( read more

Was staying here on Friday May 17th with my 6 pound dog, and was gone that evening from about 6:05pm till the next morning around 8:30am, I had left my dog in the locked Hotel room. When I came back in, in the morning on the 18th, I found my dog had a bloody mouth, and her bloody molar tooth, was laying on the bed's white sheet. I filed a police report. I also noted that I had an item stolen during the aforementioned time period, but had forgotten to mention I had eaten out that morning till about 8:30am. So Did someone with a plastic room card gain entry, steal an item, and kick my dog in the mouth and knock one of her teeth out while she was protecting the room like I believe? Or did my dog apply for credit, get a MasterCard, go to Dental school, buy some dental tools and extract her own molar without any anesthetic? You decide... I'd give this hotel a minus 5 if I could, until they come up with a reasonable explanation...Stay At Your Own Risk. read more

I was staying at Motel 6 down the street when they lost power and we were forced to find another room at 11pm on a Saturday night. Already frustrated I ended up here at Days Inn and Luis in the office was very helpful and understanding. The room was great. Clean and beds looked like it had new sheets too. Fridge and microwave in the room, although we didn't use it, looked good. We couldn't figure out the coffee pot or maybe it didn't work so that's why I knocked off 1 star. It was quiet outside, air cooled fast, so much that I had to turn it off in the middle of the night. I'll definitely be returning. read more

Stay away from this dump. We stayed here 1/26/22 and it was a terrible night. We reserved ahead of time for the one "suite" there and asked for a quiet room as my husband is a light sleeper and had to go to a pre-surgery appt the next morning. We were put at the end room, 2nd floor. The place looked and smelled dirty, the carpet had multi-color stains, tile floor was dirty grimy. Also the tub faucet had at least 1/2" separation away from the shower tile with mold inside and in the shower caulking, microwave did not work until we moved it to another outlet, cracks all over walls and ceiling. The rock hard bed had only one sheet and a sheet-thin top sheet, no blanket on the bed or even in the closet. But the worst part was the group of guys that descended on the patio right underneath our room and for 3 hours yelled, banged on table or cans, swore, laughed loud, no masks, and drank profusely. We asked them to be quiet, asked desk attendant to ask them to be quiet and were told they couldn't do anything until 9 pm. The next morning there were pizza boxes, liquor bottles laying around and the picnic table had to be turned on its end and scrubbed. The "breakfast" was a plastic wrapped danish and juice or coffee. What a dump, does not even rate a 2 star hotel, will NEVER return. I've been in cleaner campgrounds. read more

Good value for the money! $44 or $49 including tax - can't remember which. Room was clean. Shower worked okay. Bed was acceptable - not the most comfortable, but clean sheets and slept through the night. The hotel was packed when I stayed, probably because it is a great value for under $50. No complaints. The woman at the front desk was friendly and even remembered my name the next morning when I walked in to check out. Definitely would stay again if I am in the area. In life, (most of the time), you get what you pay for. This is so true with this place. With tax, I paid 44 bucks a night, and it was a good value... Clean enough, linens were fresh, and wi-fi worked great (fast). Outdated furniture, no HD TV, and slightly run down. Note to Innkeepers everywhere... Bleach is your friend. With just a little effort, this place could have been better. Apply elbow grease, and bleach! I'd stay here again if in a pinch. read more

The reason I'm giving Superstar Inn 4 stars is because: 1. They really had great, friendly accommodating staff which is always good cause you feel welcomed after a couple hours of traveling. 2. For me amenities were in perfect condition. Trust me having a refrigerator where you can store water bottles and a great working ac makes a big difference here in El Centro -- it's essential. 3. (Unlike the rest) My room was presentable and clean; I had NO TROUBLE with cockroaches so maybe they have done something to work with the problem. 4. I only paid around $34 for a weeknight in the Labor day weekend; and that's freaking cheap. It is what it is; but I think for $34 dollars was a fair deal. read more

Showed up later in the day. The big guy behind the counter walked up and said that they were sold out. We said we have a reservation, he went to look. He came back and made up some excuse about our card being declined. We had received no emails from Expedia about any cancellation. Our reservation still showed up on Expedia. He essentially told us get lost, and there's nothing he could do. It wasn't until a few minutes after we spoke with him that the reservation had been cancelled. They definitely overbooked and sold our room leaving us with no place to stay. Never staying at a Days Inn again. read more

My sister and I stayed here last month while visiting family. We liked the price but should have known that it was too good to be true. We were needing a last minute room when we got there so figured might as well stay here and give it a shot. When we got here there was a heavy set guy who checked us in... He was nice. However things got weird when he had a friend visiting him in the lobby sitting down just watching us the whole time. He even went as far as to take out his cell phone and take a picture of us at the front desk!!! How creepy is that!!! We were so on edge after that. We pretended our husbands were meeting us there so he would think we weren't alone. Strike 1. When we got to the room at first it seemed ok but within a few minutes we got queazy stomachs with all the filth in the room. I'm talking about pubes in he bed and bowling ball sized stains in the sheets! Everything was so nasty we went across the street To Joanne's to buy fabric to make our own makeshift sheets to sleep on. We ended up sleeping on the same bed with the fabric we bought as sheets. That was just sad. Strike 2. The bathroom was another story. There were holes in the wall, again everything was filthy. To the point where I didn't even shower there for fear that if get an infection. Strike 3 No joke. I've stayed at a lot of different places as I travel quite a bit but never had I stayed in a place like this. Motel 6 seemed like a 5 star resort in comparison. When we were checking out it was a middle eastern man who was as sweet as can be. I feel bad for leaving this review but yelp is meant to give honest reviews so customers know what they're getting. Paid $88 for a two-night stay at this motel-type option. (I want to note that the lady I checked in with at the front was very nice.) However, upon entering the hotel, I noticed a dirty floor, stained, hole-ridden wool blanket underneath the coverlet, and a large opening between the door and floor that let the 100+ degree heat in quickly and didn't retain what little cool came from the loud air conditioning unit. I have read the negative reviews and just want to say this place is nothing like what they described, all I can figure is they took in what was said and fixed the problems. I worked with Westin hotel chain for many years and I have seen some Westin properties that were not this nice. The rooms are really nice, cleanliness I would give a 5 star. Sheets and bedding were nice clean and comfortable. The room was nicely furnished with a flat screen TV and refrigerator. The staff are friendly and personable. The desk clerk sat in her chair and twirled back and forth the whole time I was checking in. Wouldn't take my word that I was in the Days Inn website and wanted the military rate even though I showed it to her. I had to make a reservation as I stood there in front of her. When I said I made the reservation she said okay now we have to wait 5-10 minutes until it comes across even though I showed her my email confirmation. While we waited she proceeded to take a phone call and have what sounded like a personal call about someone "coming over and doing something for her" while I was made to wait. Then when I finally got checked in just pushed my key at me. Didn't offer any information on the amenities such as breakfast or internet. I even had to ask where my room was because she had twirled her chair around and got up to do something else without even telling where the room was. This behavior is totally unprofessional. I worked as a front desk clerk for 5 years and was even the front desk manager at one point. I would not have tolerated that behavior of any of those I was in charge of. Total disrespect. i was already tired from having to deal with a broken vehicle all day when I was forced to stay in El Centro. I made a poor choice staying there. Never again for sure. read more

I had reserved a room to stay during the Christmas Eve holiday to visit a friend for the holiday, and due to unforeseen circumstances, I was no longer able to keep my reservation and had to drive back to Vegas that night. My cousin was in the hospital and later died on Christmas day. I requested to cancel my reservation through Expedia who was more than willing to refund my credit card, but they said that they had to call the hotel and get approval with the manager first. I later received an email that the manager denied my request "in accordance with their cancellation policy". I called to cancel around 12:30 pm. They had plenty of time to allow another person to occupy the room. Sad to report the manager is money hungry in their cancellation policies and very unforgiving. Very grinch-like behavior in a difficult time around the holiday season. I will never attempt to book with this hotel or any Days Inn in the future. I would give no stars if that were an option. read more
