Check in was efficient although the room I chose during check in wasn't the one I got. I didn't complain as I got a similar room just a different floor. A couple items to note the clock was really dusty so probably needs to wiped down and the lotion in the wall pumps needed a refill. I was there four days and was pretty much empty throughout the stay. Now for the pluses- a good variety of food for the free breakfast, water filling station, large room with full size refrigerator and microwave, lots of charging outlets and living room area. Lots of parking and close to restaurants, markets and other stores.

This week I got to stay in a handicapped room, which I don't mind, stayed in many Hilton handicapped rooms actually but THIS TIME I got to experience a bright strobe like flash every 15 minutes all night long. I am sure it's an apparatus for a deaf customer but it was AWFUL to experience. The Walgreens down the road sells eye masks but why should rooms have strobe lights all night long to require it. I did ask for maintenance to fix it but they had an excuse the first day but no excuses for the rest of the week. I was offered an alternative room by Wednesday but I guess I assumed it would get fixed the next day. I miss great sleep and that great manager.

I specifically asked about the pet policy because the rate quoted on their specific, local website stated $5/dog for dogs 10 lbs and under. Our dogs are 10, 8, and 7 pounds. The gentleman who took the reservation confirmed the non-refundable pet deposit was $5/dog. When we arrived to check in for our visit after 13 hours of travel and late at night, we were told it would be $15/dog for the pet deposit, and we had to pay the $45 in cash - they would not add the cost to our credit card with the payment for the hotel fees. My question is who is pocketing this cash? We were shown a smoking room with two double beds. When I showed them my email reservation confirmation, they said the only king rooms available is on the 2nd floor, and dogs were not allowed on the 2nd floor. Then we were offered a non-smoking room with two twin beds. We called corporate customer service who told the manager we see your policies say $5/pet and there is no policy against pets on the 2nd floor and you need to honor this reservation. They refused the customer service agent for a 1/2 hour. They kept insisting when you make your reservations online, it shows the higher price, She could not comprehend that I phoned to make my reservation and was quoted the $5, and the king room. We went to the Days Inn down the road who let us put our pet fee on the credit card and gave us a discount for the aggravation we had at the other hotel. We contacted corporate customer service the next morning who confirmed that we were correct about both of these policies and to contact the hotel directly - like we were going to get anything from them other than another night's stay at their hotel. No thank you!

While our room is non-smoking (thankfully- because nothing in the booking site indicated that there were smoking and non smoking rooms), the rooms across the hall are smoking rooms and the entire hallway reeks of both cigarette and marijuana. When I stopped at the desk to advise that someone was smoking she advised that smoking is allowed here and that she believes they may be the last Hampton branded property that allows it- she mentioned complaints on the other floors as well because I had initially suggested we might prefer to move to a non-smoking floor. There apparently isn't one. It's too bad because the location of the property is good, too. She said the policy is "unclear" on pot- so if you're a smoker (herbal or otherwise) this may be a great option for you. If you're sensitive to smoke, I advise booking elsewhere. On the plus side - The pool and fitness facilities are clean and well maintained as is the lobby and our room- no complaints there - and staff is friendly and helpful.

This is the worst Hampton Inn I have encountered and does not represent the Hilton brand name well…read more The room smelled stale and I quickly realized why. It was so dusty in there. All along the walls, and behind the mattress there was probably years of dust and who knows what else. There was black mold in the bathroom that was very visible to the eye and a health hazard at that. The shower head had so much black mold that it had started to penetrate it. I scrubbed off what I could before showering, but contemplated taking a sink bath to avoid touching any of it. The furniture, carpet, and everything is old and dated. And I have been in older hotels that are well maintained and clean. But this place is not even trying. I could not wait to check out. I unfortunately just sucked it up and stayed the night because I was in town for business the next morning and there are very few options to choose from in the area. The breakfast was probably the worst continental breakfast I have ever seen. Very few options, not even a banana. I would have preferred a granola bar to the offerings they had. Do better Hilton. This is no name roadside motel quality.
