No elevator in a two story motel like this should not happen. Carrying bags up two flights of stairs is not what 70 yr olds should have to do, ever. But the breakfast was good, the location was convenient, and the EV charger had us charged up and ready to go in the morning for less than $6, so that was awesome. Clean, comfortable. read more

I usually don't complain or post about my stays but After staying at Days Inn Wyndham hotels (in Lathrop ca ) this was far worse the worst experience I've had.. I currently have OCD and I've had bed bugs from other hotels outside of Wyndham hotels so as I was checking the bed for any type of bed bugs I found that the mattress had blood stains or some sort of stains all over it which made me not feel to comfortable about sleeping in the bed so I slept on the couch instead ,also there was bugs found in the room the air conditioner did not stay on so made for a very hot night ,went to inform mark the nighttime staff and he said he would tell the manager who he said would be in at 10:30 the next morning,I did request more sheets but since the stains were close to my head I couldn't sleep in the bed ,when morning came I talked to Rachelle who informed me that the manager wouldn't be in for 3-4 days and to leave my number ,she seemed agitated and not understanding of the situation at all ,she kept saying they can't change out the mattresses everytime maybe once a year and said I must have kept the air on to low and that's why it kept shutting off ,I have never had that experience with any other air conditioner at any other hotel room and she said that the bug was just a pincher bug ,i did not like her making excuses for everything I told her ,i also asked for a paper receipt and was told it's in the email ,I contacted corporate, which told me since I booked through third-party (hotels.com)that I would have to reach out to them for any kind of refund or any type of action to be done , I will not be coming back to the Days Inn by Wyndham in Lathrop ca ever again ,if I could give them no stars I would . read more

I checked in and not 15 min in our room, the power goes out. I was only staying one night. I asked to cancel and for a refund. I booked thru Priceline and was told you have to request to cancel and refund thru them. Priceline started the cancellation and requested a refund. It came back "THE HOTEL IS UNABLE TO HONOR YOUR REQUEST" So i paid for a room with no lights and AC. It wasn't an expensive room, but how shitty that a hotel is so desperate for money, that even with no power to basic amenities, like lights, AC, fans and TV- wouldn't even refund their customers. 100% DO NOT STAY HERE. 100/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. This place is a joke, I've stayed there multiple times, but the last two times I checked in. I have gotten profiled or discriminated by the same red neck at the front. Only when he if there a deposit is required. I travel for work so I stay there every time I'm in the area. I explained to him I didn't wanted to leave a deposit she wanted to pay cash. My vehicle was stolen from in front of the hotel. I never received any level of concern nor interest by management I live with a therapy dog. My room smelled upon first entering. I spent my time, dollars, energy to try to correct. After a short stay i was asked to leave. A clean quiet good budget hotel with a gigantic grocery store one block away which is perfect! and there's even parking for truckers if truckers need that... We liked the room and we just thought it was great cause the air conditioning worked very well, and it was a hot day. The parking lot was well paved and there were a handful of spots but it was slightly crowded. Lady at the front desk was professional and friendly and easy check in... the breakfast was 6 a m to 10 a m which is a very big spread of time and was helpful for us. We were concerned that it could be a little loud next to the freeway. But it was perfectly quiet and I think because there were a few truckers, It was peaceful because they all wanted some piece and quiet also. We really recommend this spot because stopped in as a dangerous place but this was only 10 or 20 more miles or so down the road from Stockton...seemed way safer. read more

Stayed at the Days Inn in Lathrop for the night. I've stayed here before and found it a comfortable stay, so this once again seemed like the place to sack out for the night. The room was spacious, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Water pressure was very good and water was hot but not scalding. Full cable TV is available. There is ample parking, complimentary breakfast, and the location is convenient to the I-5 with food and gas available nearby. Overall, it was a worthwhile stay. It's definitely a value. read more

It may seem odd, but I'm moving to this area, and the price was reasonable, for a reasonable motel. I could have gone less expensive, but I may be here a while, as I look for a place to live. Of course, I got a bad impression as I was dealing with rush hour traffic on Friday afternoon between state road 99 and I-5. This motel is located just off I-5 at Lathrop Road, so navigation decided it would be best for me to practice in traffic. The room is upstairs, near the front of the building. I have a good view of I-5 and Lathrop Road. If you're in a wheelchair, I hope that the ADA-compliant rooms are downstairs, as I was offered the stair case. (I'm not in a wheelchair, but there didn't seem to be an elevator, and I'm glad to have the minimal exercise, actually.) The king-sized bed seems fine and there is a chair and also a side table. There are a fridge, microwave oven, tube-type TV, and extra sink, just separated from the bathroom sink. The staff was courteous and efficient. read more

Great Place to stay. My family stayed there a week ago and I must compliment Rachael on her courtesy and professionalism. She went well over and beyond her job to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. She was very personable and it shows that she enjoys her job. She encouraged us to speak up if we needed anything. Her friendly manner was so welcoming. We felt right at home! We have been traveling for 2 weeks! Someone who is on the road that much is bound to have a few mishaps in a hotel. But this is the worst experience ever! Two Queen beds and they both were so old and smelly. Woke up with a sore back. I carry my serum on ice with me and made sure the refrigerator worked before I put it in. Woke up with a hot refrigerator and hundreds of dollars worth of medicine ruined by their refrigerator ! No rails or bars to hold on to while getting into or out of the bathtub/shower! Did not even attempt to use that at all. Sink had no stopper. Tv only got a few channels. Woke up to a dead mouse outside the door! This hotel was way over priced for what we got in a small town ! When I talked to the front desk. All she could say is "I'm sorry about your medication being ruined, I know how expensive that must be"! Really ? She hasn't a clue. This owner also owns a Best Western just miles away, which was our first stop. However, they were booked so they sent us to "their sister hotel". It certainly needs attention inside and out. DO NOT STAY HERE! We usually stay at the Hampton Inn but this was a crowded weekend, and there were no rooms available there. Rates were around $200 per night for even a Holiday Inn. So, we booked this room through Priceline.com bc it was cheaper than the rate of the rooms around the area. Although it was cheaper, it was still around $110 per night. Little did we know, we were in for the biggest mistake of our hotel booking experience! My first encounter with anyone that works at Days Inn was when I called the 1-800 number listed off Yelp. It took me to a representative that had a hard time understanding the spelling of the city Lathrop. I do not have an accent and unsure of how clearer I needed to be when I said: La-throp, L as in Larry...A as in Apple...T as in Tom...H as in Henry...O as in Opra...and P as in Paul. Had to repeat myself 5-6 times, spelling it over and over only to have the rep asking me "You mean Lake Shore? You mean...Lake...? NO! I freaking spelled it out to you! I asked, this is the city where your hotel is located and you don't know? He said, "You're calling the reservations line for all Days Inn." And your point is?? I responded, your data base doesn't have your locations listed? After an uncomfortably long search time, he found the hotel. I should have known what could possibly transpire just with this encounter alone. When we checked in, the front desk clerk confirmed that we did not have a 2 queen beds room but one king. We had 4 ppl and planned to share 2 to a bed. I told them the booking says type of rooms will be distributed at check in. No where did it states 1 king. I specially put 2 guests originally for 2 beds. The front desk ppl blamed Priceline for not disclosing properly. Whatever, we decided to rent 2 roller beds as they offered for $10 each. When the manager confirmed by calling the front desk there were 2 roller beds available, I asked the front desk lady clerk to waive one since it was not our fault for being misguided. The lady says no bc the wrong info was a mistake by third party, not the hotel. I then politely asked her to ask her manager on the phone if he could waive one of the beds ($10). She immediately put the phone mouth piece to hers and said, "She wants you to waive one of the beds." The lady clerk then looked at me and said, "Her says no." I asked her verbatim, "Can you ask him in the way I said it b/c the way you asked him made me sound demanding and Im asking nicely to waive it as a courtesy." Without saying a word to me and in a defensive manner, she put the phone mouth piece to hers again and asked her manager "Am I being demanding? She wants you to waive it a courtesy." Um....again...incorrect! I never said YOU were being demanding....I said you made me sound demanding...what a dumbass! Anyways, the manager waived the $10. So we only paid for one of the roller beds. Continuing forward. We got the 2 roller beds delivered in the room, we thanked the manager, put our luggage down and left. We did not return to the room until late that night around 10:30pm. When my husband set up one of the roller beds, we found TRASH in the roller bed, with crumbs, and dirt. So gross!!! I have pictures...take a look!! We called the front desk and talked to a Mark. He pretty much said, the hotel is not responsible for the condition of the beds.....um....come again? Aren't hotels responsible for the cleanliness of their merchandise? It's like delivering towels and saying use at your own risk, we are not responsible for the condition of the towels, pillows, comforters, beds, etc....Does this make any sense? We asked for both roller beds to be picked up because there was no way we will ever sit on them let alone lay on them even with sheets! I called Mark to get my $10 refunded. Mark tried to tell me, "He cannot reach in the drawer to get my $10 back without his manager's approval" and the manager works at 9am. We are leaving by 6:30am so that's not gonna work. Mark also said, "You're still using one of the beds anyways" uh....No we're not, idiot. He also claimed that there were no trash in the bed and implied we made it up!! Mark said verbatim, "there was only one bed in the hallway and there was nothing wrong with it." I said, I knew he didn't come...some house keeping lady picked up the beds, not him, and there was no way the roller beds were rolled down to the front desk for him to examine. They obviously don't ever check or clean the roller beds! I also told him not to deny this bc we will not make this shit up and cram 4 ppl to a king sized bed. I said, do not insinuate we are making this up, I took pictures and will go to the BBB to report this hotel and Mark's name will be mentioned. Mark snickered. I was in disbelief at the professionalism! He said this is humerus bc it's over $10. I said, even if it's .50 cents, I will get every penny back. Mark finally said he'll call his manager for my $10. This is unfortunately our third stay, not by my choice. It is 4:42 am and my back is absolutely killing me, I can't sleep or get comfortable because the mattress is definitely cheap and way too firm. After trying to use the cheap pillow under my back, or huddled on the chair and foot rest, I decided to call the front desk. Their phone doesn't even have a direct line, just their own phone number posted, annoying when you're half asleep, so I get dressed and walk down. The front desk guy was nice but when I asked him if they had an egg create or extra comforter, because I could.Not.sleep due to my back killing me. He checked something out then just came back shaking his head with nothing.....Nothing. Soooo, what, I'm supposed to just go back to problems, no other attempt at a solution? Pathetic. So I end up back here, writing this review. Don't stay here. The breakfast is lacking, just a bunch of pre packaged cheap foods, and in my room, the shower head didn't work, so a bath, had to make due. The room is okay, the toiletries are tiny so bring your own, and the only good thing is the tv and the fridge. Again, third stay. I keep telling my boyfriend to have us stay somewhere else because I sleep poorly everytime I stay here. It's not worth the money. Usually the front desk has been rude too, so luckily the guy was nice, but yet still didn't really care. Not impressed, don't stay here if you want a decent nights sleep. The place best here that we've stayed at is the holiday inn express and suites. They have always been a nice stay and have extremely comfortable beds, for you know, sleeping, not ruining your night. read more

Executive summary: this Days Inn should be used as a last resort only. My girlfriend and I stayed at this Days Inn yesterday. There were strong pros and cons for this establishment. Pros: cheapest place we could find at the time in the area, good firm mattress with clean sheets, good pillows, refrig. and microwave. Decent sized room. Courteous front desk help and C- continental breakfast. Close grocery store and other stores nearby. Decent flat screen tv. Cons: dangerously slippery shower-tub floor. It was incredibly bad. Carpeting was dingy and underlying floor was lumpy. Towels in bathroom were stiff and not that great. Shower curtain rod was coming undone causing the shower curtain to droop into the shower. The girl who checked me in (Miriam) wasn't necessarily rude, but she seemed completely bored and disinterested. She did not smile once and was not very welcoming. The room was a decent size and was clean, but the bathroom could use some updating. In addition, the chair at the desk was broken and leaned back way too far, and the vinyl upholstery was extremely worn. The biggest problem about this hotel is that there is NO ELEVATOR! It is ridiculous in this day and age to expect people to haul heavy suitcases upstairs. I stop in the city often on long drives, but I will definitely avoid this hotel in the future. This was one of the worst hotels I ever stood in. Bathroom smelled like urine. Shower walls were dirty. No attention to detail when cleaning the bathroom. Mold build up around edges of the fire sprinkler heads and the shower rod was barley hanging onto the walls. Air conditioner did not work to well. Sweated all night long. Couldn't open the window due to the freeway next to us. So we did not have a good nights rest. Carpet was a bit bumpy, must have laid carpet without cleaning bottom. Beds were totally uncomfortable. Not a bad hotel. The front desk staff are helpful and nice. The rooms are large and clean. A little dated but comfy. Very comfy pillows and in plenty. Lots of shops in walking distance. The bar behind the place is in the same parking lot. A little pricy but the food is ok. They have pool and spa. But spa doesn't work very well. Nice flat screen tv. Not a lot of channels though. Wish I had read the reviews on this hotel before I stayed here. I walked in after two long days of driving and was obviously exhausted. The woman at the front desk did not even acknowledge me at all even though there was absolutely no one else in the room. She was staring at the computer intently and for all I know she was playing solitaire or something. After a few minutes she, without looking at me says... I will be with you in a few minutes. I asked for a bathroom and she vaguely points towards it again without looking at me at all. When she finally decides to pay attention to me.. a customer she was I guess efficient, but not really friendly. (I work in the customer service industry. We literally have at times 50 people in our store and ALWAYS greet them with a smile and let them know we will help them ASAP) The room was okay I guess. Bed was comfortable but sheets were questionable with stains here and there. Towels could be used for sandpaper in a pinch. Bathroom floor was pretty dirty and nasty. I decided to make the best of it and talk to the front desk clerk in the morning. She was no better. Distracted, uninterested and did not even ask how my stay was which I thought was a standard question for a hotel. Will I stay here again? NO. Would I recommend it to anyone? Absolutely NO. Like cigarette smoke smell in your room, this is the place for you. After spending a 100 degree day in Stockton, and having previously booked for a two night stay, I found this too be a very disappointing stay when I arrived. What could have been a decent stay turned out to be a stinky motel room from Cigarette smoke. A non-smoking room #103 was placed between two smoking rooms, and it was the only room left. My room reaked, and while the desk person was able to come and fresh-scent the room, the following night was a different desk person with no clue.
