Great place to stay while in, or passing through Red Bluff. I was on a motorcycle trip about to tackle the 36 to Eureka. The Triangle is a totally updated - Retro Motel from the days before I-5. I had my doubts at first, but was pleasantly surprised. Everything had been re-done - new floors, fixtures, etc, yet this place retains the feel of how roadside Motels used to be. I had the suite - Room A. The bed was super comfy. Check in Process was contactless and easy. The "Front Desk" is easily available by text and very responsive. Parking is in designated spaces. Coffee makers are Keurig. The Triangle is a very short walk to: Planet Fitness, Walmart, Raleys, Starbucks, and other retail, I'll definitely stay here again! I highly recommend it. read more

I booked this place primarily on location. I was VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED by the quality of the property. It's a little hard to find, there is a Triangle motorhome park very close by. The property is from the 1940s and had been expertly refurbished. It's very modern while keeping an old vibe. The bed is comfortable and there's a decent sized table and place to put your suitcase... lots of floor room also. Although I thought it was fairly close to the freeway I did not HEAR ANY TRAFFIC NOISE. One very different aspect of the property is there is no "front desk" or people at the property. The company instant messages you with the code to enter the lock. I was a little confused because there were 6 buttons on the lock. They were "1 2" "3 4" "5 6" "7 8" and "9 0" and a button with a "lock" on it to lock the room. Inside the door there was a little basket on the wall with all the information (in 3 laminated pages) you need about the property and the TV remote. In the instructions it says if you need ANYTHING.... Extra toilet paper, towels, soap etc. there is a room (and it gave the code) where you have access to stuff like that. I didn't need anything so I didn't check it. The shower was good water flow and pressure. There was also a refrigerator (already cold) and a coffee maker. I would rate the cleanliness and comfort of this property 95 out of 100. I think they should have a bigger shelf to place items on in the bathroom. I only have a small bathroom kit and it took up most of the counter. The sink has no space around it. I WILL STAY HERE AGAIN... on any trip when I'm coming down from Oregon to break up my drive. read more

Interior has block walls adding to Cool temps with wonderful hvac, large mounted T v, huge walk in shower, comfortable bedding. Mornings are busy with commuters, but they have noise canceling box attached to nightstand! 2 PUPS WELCOME, nice coffee/ tea station, enough space for two comfortably! pool is refreshing, simple. I can't say enough good things about this motel! I left today after a 1-night stay and already want to return. I assume Google Maps classifies this as a 2-star hotel due to some technicalities, like there's no reception desk or in-room dining etc, but it does not deserve to be in the same category as other 2-star hotels. Let me tell you why I loved this place: -The motel itself is completely renovated and absolutely impeccable. The style is so modern with some retro motel charm. -very clean -comfortable beds & bedding -I'm a sucker for their great branding lol -dog friendly!! Just be sure to say that when you book because I think (?) only certain rooms are dog friendly. They're so dog-friendly that your room even gets set up with a little pet kit - a cute dog bowl, towels to wipe their paws, paper towel for messes, and lint roller for the bed. -fantastic guest services, even despite no in-person reception desk (it's all self check-in/out with a code for your room). Erin was SO friendly and helpful with booking my room over the phone, answering questions, letting me change the date of my stay bc a wildfire on my roadtrip route led me to a longer detour (and even offering to refund my night if I didn't end up staying due of that wildfire- I say that bc the motel's refund policy is much less flexible than most places - so fyi be sure to read that when you book), and helping move me to a different room when I arrived (the front door of my original room wasn't fully closing without using the deadbolt). -thoughtful local touches - including mattresses from a 100-year California-based company, coffee from a local roaster, etc. -great AC - very necessary in the summer!! -there's a pool, but I didn't get to use it I highly recommend staying here! read more

We took the drive from Washington State to California with our dogs, and stayed here both ways. Clean, quiet, convenient, and well priced. It is a cute retro boutique motel of the 1960's style, but well renovated with special touches like bedside mini speakers, a fridge and all of the charging ports a traveler needs. And little extras in the room for the furs-babies also. It is owned by two sisters who have created a great little business, it is coded keyless entry, so super easy no matter when you arrive. We will definitely stay here again on our north-south road trips. read more

I stayed here for 2 different nights separated by several days. It is a terrific spot. It's an older motel but completely updated and modern, that still has a somewhat rustic outside appearance, including what looks like it might be an original entrance sign. It is anything but rustic. In fact it's delightful. Not showy, but very nice immaculate rooms, well appointed with everything you need. I liked the plant-based soaps, etc., and they even have Who Gives a Crap toilet paper, which is made from recycled paper. It's hard to describe the feeling you get from the rooms, but I knew I had found a place to stay in the future when I drive through the Central Valley. Management is very responsive. As to it not having an office, think of it as an AirBnb, where you check in using a code. Highly recommended. read more

This is a cute motel that is freshly remodeled. The shower was wonderful and the room was clean and neat. They are dog friendly and have grassy areas available. It's in a great location right off the 5 freeway with food and gas nearby, but is quiet and secluded at the same time. The owners are great and quick to respond to text messages. read more

It's super cute and new remodel. Very cool and clean. They put a lot of work into the charm and it's great. However, my husband said he didn't want to say that their convenience shower supplies were empty. He spent a lot of time reading their website because of his interest in the complete renovation and attention to modernization. I brought my own personal shower caddy. Second, there are no USB ports. He was surprised. There is a Great smart tv. You can log into Netflix and YouTube. Excellent . Be sure to log out. What a LOVELY motel. Super easy access on and off the freeway. The contactless check-in is so convenient for late night arrivals, because you can just get everyone right into the room. Reserved parking is available right in front of your room. Our room was very clean and so cute. Comfy bed! Love the no-carpet floors as it feels much cleaner than carpet. Bathroom was adorable and the water pressure was "chef's kiss". All of this for a very reasonable price. Will definitely be back! read more

Perfect and quaint! Very atypical for this area, to have a motel that doesn't feel vile. Love that it was history and has been resurrected by 2 wonderful humans, who clearly care! The brick walls really really help with sound. I usually do not sleep in hotels or motels because I can hear everything in adjacent rooms. Nice sized mini fridge and flat screen. Only complaints are there needs to be cabinets and d4awers. We had to set stuff on the floors and that sucked. Also, the only place I have ever stayed for lodging in my life with no in-room coffee maker, so hopefully they have that soon for the rooms. We will have to bring out own when we visit again, as our entire intent for coming here is to locally get away, and not leave the rooms for anything. Wonderful Experience! Clean, Safe, & Private! February 20, 2025 My stay in February 2025 at the beautifully renovated Triangle Motel in Red Bluff, California could not have been better. I have been traveling up and down Oregon and California for business for nearly twenty years. Needless to say, I have stayed at dozens of hotels. By far, this was the best place I have ever stayed. I could kick myself for not discovering it earlier. The Triangle Motel is right off of I-5 so it is convenient for travelers. It is well marked and easy to find. However, you would never think it was right off of a busy interstate because of its quiet, safe, and private location. To get there you drive up a small hill via a slightly winding and private driveway. At first sight of this quaint motel, I knew I made the right decision. The grounds and motel itself are clean and charming. A code is provided via text to enter the room so you never have to wait in line at a lobby. You simply drive right up to your room in the provided parking space. Two chairs and a round table are placed in front of each room. It makes for a pleasant setting. The rooms are so cool. They are accented with solid pine doors and pine woodwork. The windows with old-time cranks actually open and lock close (when was the last time you stayed someplace where the windows actually opened). The bed was super comfy and the pillows heavenly. The nicely painted block walls keep your room silent - no dinging elevators, slamming doors, clanking ice machines, noisy neighbors, etc. The Triangle Motel has one floor only so you will not be listening to "thunder foot" walking back and forth above your head all night. Because the room was so quiet (and the motel was full), my corgi slept throughout the night. A first. The heater/air conditioning unit is the best I have ever seen. It is remote control and the room temperature is highly visible and easy to adjust. It is very quiet. The walk-in shower has a rain showerhead so that was fun. It is a dog friendly motel. There is a very nice grassy area to walk your dog. I saw an outdoor swimming pool, too, but the cold weather in February kept me out of it. There is also a grassy picnic area with a an outdoor grill if you want to BBQ. Because of its privacy, I can see down-to-earth movie stars like Lady Gaga, Keanu Reeves, or Tom Hanks enjoying a stay here - anyone who appreciates the simple life. If you do not want to go out to one of the nearby restaurants for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, order from Door Dash - or BBQ in the space provided! The Triangle Motel has the friendliest, most accommodating employees ever. They are very responsive and make you feel like you are the most important person in the world. The sunrise in the morning was gorgeous. I think the Triangle Motel ordered it just for its guests. (LOL). I highly recommend staying at the Triangle Motel. read more

This is the first time we've stayed at The Triangle Motel in Red Bluff. We stayed here because of it's dog friendly policy and it looked like a cute motel. The hotel is close to the 5 freeway and is perfect for a single night to explore Red Bluff. Think it would be fun to come back here for a few more nights to explore more of Red Bluff, and the surrounding area. The room was very clean. It's very comfortable and it's perfect for having a dog. What an adorable little spot! Lovely, stylish, and clean rooms, very friendly and helpful customer service, and my FAVORITE part is the sustainability factor! I was so pleased to learn that they go the extra mile to minimize their plastic waste. They have biodegradable liners in their trash cans, organic toiletries from a zero-waste, refillable soap company, locally made hand soap bars, and they even have "Who Gives a Crap" bamboo toilet paper! What a great little oasis along the 5. My first night's stop on a 2300 mile moto road trip, this neat-as-a-pin renovated gem was a welcomed respite from a long hot ride. Secluded yet very accessible. Park directly in front on your room in a designated site. Pool is wonderful,clear and clean. (closes at 10P, no diving). Cinder block room construction is cool and reassuring. Stylish and comfortable. Linens are spotless and plush. My room (family: double+twin) had a tub in the bathroom; during booking I was told all rooms do not.. It was much appreciated as I arrived after 10P and couldn't use the pool until morning. In room furnishings are somewhat spartan in comparison to a large chain of course and this is welcome. Most visitors are mot here for extended periods and a dresser is not necessary. Thanks for that. I like spartan. Two minor nags: While the website states 12 rooms and a suite, neither on the motel website nor and 3rd party accommodation site is there provision to rent or review the suite. Please amend this discrepancy. Secondly , the Bluetooth speaker is a great touch as is the updated bedside outlet with USB port, but only one side of the bed has the USB. Particularly in a family oriented room it's likely two adults will be charging devices at bedtime. So relaxing at the Triangle Motel. Thanks for the stay. read more

Hella cute! Met the owner while I was checking and she is such a gem. You can tell a lot of effort and love was put into renovating this place! It's a contactless check in system and parking is nice and close to rooms. I traveled solo for work and felt safe. Just stayed at this recently renovated motel on the south end of Red Bluff's Main Street. The owners have done a great job with a vintage place; kept the character but made it super comfortable with all-modern amenities. Easy walk to coffee and shopping. Gorgeous pool too. read more

Not really surprised that I'm the first to review this place. Just looking at it should be enough of a sign to stay away, but I gave this place the benefit of the doubt and tried it out. The place cost me, by myself, $44 with a $10 deposit and you don't even get what you pay for. The door was nearly destroyed and extremely hard to open and honestly I should have just stopped there, but I continued on and opened the door. Upon opening the door the stench of what I'm hoping is cat pee fills my nostrils. This is where I decide this place is no good but I had to see what else I could find wrong with this place. The room was full of spider webs and made it seem like no one has been there since the 1980's. First, I decided to check out the bathroom to see what could be wrong with it. I open the door and staring at me is a cockroach next to his squished brother. The thing that got me was that someone squished the cockroach and didn't even bother to clean it up! Next I checked under the bed and I saw some rat feces. I got my stuff, walked to the office and told him I couldn't stay here. "Why?" I was extremely shocked that he even questioned it. I told him that I just couldn't stay because of the room condition. He then told me that there was no way he could refund my $44. I told him that's fine as long as I didn't have to stay there and walked to Walgreens right next door. So I hope they enjoy my $44 and that you stay the hell away from this place. read more
