This bag of trash was sitting in the hallway when we checked, and was still there when we checked out...untouched.

This place is old and filthy, from the elevators to the dirty carpets and dresser drawers to the bathtub! I'm not a picky person, but this is awful. We are only here for one night, thank goodness, and will be out in the early morning, maybe even earlier than I had originally planned! I even resorted to taking pictures to prove what we found. The patio door was unlocked, as well as the access door to the outside! The lamps didn't work, so I searched for the plug to make sure it was connected, and found a power strip with the mini fridge and two lamps plugged into it. It looked as though someone had dumped a big bucket of dirty scrub water into the tub and the grit and stones were still in the tub. The toilet kept running and we had to jiggle the handle over and over again. After midnight, a bunch of teens were screaming and making noise in the pool, which our room overlooked, so we heard all the noise. I'm just praying our sheets were clean, but I can't say. This was just a horrible experience... and all I can say is NEVER AGAIN!

Days Inn Warren was formerly Holiday Inn Warren. It's been around for a long time but has been kept up rather well. It's also well located within though on the outskirts of the City of Warren, and for decent accommodations much less expensive that the Hampton Inn in nearby Conewango Township. It has a good bar with food service, The Allegheny Grille, a small indoor pool, a decent sit down restaurant, complimentary Wi-Fi and lots of parking. But being located within Warren County if there is a convention or big meeting going on, the DUI Enforcement people will be standing by ready to nail you. They really do go out of their way to target tourists, not only for driving under the influence but for any other infraction no matter how minor. In fact Warren has a noted reputation among the locals of "Come here on vacation, leave on probation."

Stayed in the Hazeltine Suite again which is AWEsome! Had a full house over the weekend leading up to the eclipse, but no worries about noise, parking etc. Steven the owner was helpful as always & Christine provided suggestions and advice regarding things to do in the area. We made use of the pool & tap room again, also found time to play chess & Scrabble in one of the sitting rooms downstairs. This is REALLY a great place all-around to come to relax/recharge! Service on both visits has been impeccable. I've been in other B&Besque venues, but this is hands-down the best. And Warren itself is a nice laid-back town, with eateries, brewpubs ...and things to do within a decent driving distance. I'm seriously thinking we may end up being regular Hazeltine customers! PS - drove west for an hour or so for the eclipse & had a great view.

The historic old house has a cozy feel and each room has so many details. I stayed in the Bella room and the bed was so comfortable. There is even a multi port usb charger by the bed. I was pleasantly surprised with the billiard room, dart board and tap room. Steve was a gracious host and showed us the suite and upstairs super suite. I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful home. Definitely stay here if you find yourself in Warren.

So we flew from LAX to Buffalo, NY, which allowed us to visit Niagara Falls (stunning) and then take a quick drive south to Bradford, PA (home of Zippo lighters). The first thing one notices when entering this part of Pennsylvania is how well-kept the homes and farms are. And when you turn onto the access road to the Glendorn Lodge, you see their farm-to-table patch of a vegetable farm. Once through the gate, the drive is a couple of miles to the main lodge and check-in. The staff are so wonderful and polite, calling us by our last names, which is very formal but a nice touch! Our home, cabin, was lovely beyond description. The master bedroom was stunning, the screened-in porch was perfect for 10 to 12 people hanging out (ideal for a family reunion), and we had an outdoor fireplace/pit blazing and roasting marshmallows for the kids. The next morning, we rode bicycles that you keep at your cabin home. We went out on a small lake with paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, etc. We also played volleyball and had lunch catered and delivered to the lake - fantastic service. The next day we played tennis, swam, basketball and even shot skeet! As our time at Glendorn came to a close, we reflected on the unparalleled service and the deep sense of relaxation we experienced throughout our stay. The staff truly went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was perfect, and their personalized approach made us feel like cherished guests rather than just visitors. To cap off our trip, we took a leisurely drive back toward Buffalo, savoring the memories of Niagara Falls and our time at the resort. We left Glendorn with our spirits lifted, ready to cherish the beauty of nature and the luxury of wonderful hospitality. If you ever find yourself in the northwest corner of Pennsylvania, I highly recommend Glendorn for an unforgettable retreat. It's a hidden gem that beautifully combines nature, comfort, and top-notch service!
