The selection was cold gave up on the omelette dude waited ten mins he's wondering around with a coffee cup in hand the waitress said he's coming right out I gave up grabbed the cold food from the buffet after 5 people lined up he appears from the back to start cooking the omelettes . The view is beautiful, we had a 1 ocean front king suite... the floors leaked water, all over the room, constantly wet socks! Room service was a door knock and a to go paper bag was not impressed w/the menu at all, and the red velvet cake at the cafe was 3 days old. Would not recommend this resort if wanting even 2nd class service! Pool was a lil chilly, after 4:00 it's totally in the shade, no poolside music or service for cocktails, unless u go to bar, and zero food offered from beach bar read more

We stayed here for a volleyball tournament and it was great at accommodating a lot of people. The rooms are very large and ours had a great view. You can tell it is a newer hotel or redone. Parking is across the street in a parking garage or you can Valet park. The staff is less than friendly and has a hard time with any requests or helping when myself or other parents had questions or concerns. I think I would try another hotel in the area before coming back to this hotel. There is a restaurant inside as well as a small convenience store and bar. During my recent stay at Daytona Grande hotel for New Year's Eve, I experienced significant disappointment and concern regarding the inadequate security measures implemented. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the security protocols in place during my stay. During my stay, I observed several issues that compromised the safety and security of guests, including on the night of NYE at approximately, early morning hours was sitting in the foyer, alone taking pictures with a tripod and at this time I noticed the area was left unattended, with no staff present to monitor who was entering or exiting the event/party that was held at the hotel. However, I thought most attendees were gone. Yet, there were still people coming out of the banquet room. Note: There were no visible security patrols in the hallways or around the property during the late-night hours specifically following the NYE event that you hosted for guests and non hotel guests. During this time, I observed suspicious behavior by guests exiting the banquet room in a state of intoxication, with the area left unsecured. I attempted to capture photographs and proceed to my room when I was approached by an individual who persistently inserted himself into my camera shots. (Photo attached) I felt uneasy and requested that he allow me to take my photographs so that I could continue with my evening. He departed and returned with an individual whom I presumed to be his significant other, inquiring if I could take their photographs. Although I felt apprehensive, I was compelled to take several photos for them due to the presence of another woman and my desire to avoid causing a disturbance. Subsequently, as individuals I believe to be part of his group emerged from the banquet room, he insisted that I take their photographs as well. At this juncture, I discerned that they were all potentially overserved alcohol and were visibly intoxicated. When I politely declined to take any further photographs, I was subjected to verbal abuse, threats, and a display of unsavory and abhorrent behavior by the same individual. As I was being attacked by more than half a dozen people, someone identified as DAVID, who was wearing a security uniform, came directly to me. I thought I had finally found a way to escape the situation, but he was not at all prepared for that moment as I was trying to offer some insight. Instantly, the same guy started trying to get closer to me, and his group could not control him. In fact, someone ended up on the ground. (Please review the security footage.) At that point, David should have taken official incident reports and called the police. However, he did neither. Subsequently, I approached the front desk and asked to speak with a supervisor and I met Holly, who said that she the front desk supervisor and by herself. I once again tried to get someone to take an incident report and I was once again failed by Holly and your hotel and was in complete shock that this was happening to me. I couldn't rest until she recorded what occurred including an unidentified man getting on the elevator with me yet not going to any floor but mine and then subsequently going back down to the lobby because I did not leave the hallway of my floor. I attempted to report this to both Holly and David who both failed to properly report this on my behalf. It was if they wanted no documentation that any of this occurred. These deficiencies made me feel unsafe and vulnerable, significantly detracting from my ability to relax and enjoy my stay, as I was constantly concerned about the security of my belongings and personal well-being. As a guest, I expected a reasonable standard of security, which was clearly not met. I request that you investigate these serious lapses and take immediate action to implement robust security protocols, such as increased patrols, secure access points, and staff training. I hope you agree with me that this type of service is completely unacceptable at so many levels. It is not the kind of treatment I would have expected from a four/five star hotel of your state and caliber. I am very disappointed from this bitter experience. My statements are intended to serve as a cautionary tale for those who may still consider staying at this establishment. If you want a good night's sleep--DO NOT STAY HERE. The bed was old, sagging, and springy. My back hurts just talking about it. I stayed at this hotel only one day of my original booking of 2 days. The reason? It all started at the front desk. I am accustomed to being upgraded as a longtime Iprefer member during off-peak seasons. This was not only off-peak, it was 50 degrees and raining. There were plenty of accommodations to bump me up. I was informed the rule is: you can't be upgraded past the particular room I booked (oceanfront K), so I would have to pay $200 more for a suite. OK stick to your rules; you won. You also lost a customer. (The last Iprefer hotel that regularly upgraded us to a suite in the off-season; we were frequent and loyal customers to them. I spent thousands of dollars there, and they were lovely people.) To be fair, the bartender was great. The view is nice over the ocean. The pool looked great, but nobody was in it or on the beach because it was freezing. With nothing else to do, we couldn't wait to get out of dodge/daytona. We won't be back. read more

I booked the Daytona Grande for my 26th birthday & I received awful service at the front desk with a lady named Andy. I had booked an oceanfront suite on the 23rd floor & i wanted to extend my stay I went directly to the front desk to book directly with the hotel & I received miscommunication as I was told it was cheaper to book through a 3rd party online. As I did what I was told to do come to find out I was unable to stay at my suite unless I paid an additional $300 with my intention of booking with the hotel directly I felt mislead & extremely dissatisfied on my birthday. We stayed at the Daytona Grande hotel for my fiance's surprise birthday weekend getaway. The view from the oceanfront room was perfect. She wanted a beach day for her birthday and this place delivered :) The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. I was able to communicate with the hotel through Expedia and arrange for a birthday cake slice to be delivered to the room ahead of time as we were delayed because of the airline and not able to check in until after room service was closed. Very happy they made the cake delivery work, thank you! The shower was spacious and great water pressure. We never watch tv in our hotel room while traveling so I can't speak to the tv/channel options. We ate breakfast in their restaurant in the lobby the first morning and it was solidly good. Priced at what you would expect for a hotel breakfast. But the real gem of breakfast were these cheese pastries. We asked the waiter if they made the pastries in house and he told us that the lady who worked the omelet station bakes them herself and the restaurant orders them from her! They were so good we went back and gave her a tip :) The pool was clean and a refreshing break from the hot sun in the afternoon. The hot tub was okay. If I had to guess the water was around 100F degrees. I'm use to 102-105F so it was a little cooler than I prefer. The jets were also not very powerful. Walking down the walkway to the beach was great, we spent most of the time out there :) My only concern, which we also told the front desk on checking out, was how slippery the flooring was around the pool area. My fiancé almost fell once and we watched at least three other people actually fall just walking around. Currently staying here, in room 2422, paying thousands of dollars, and room service didn't bother finish cleaning the room. Master bed was left stripped with no clean sheets. Then a random man came to the door, who did not speak English, who shoved some bed sheets in my wife's hand and left. Now I had to try and "make the bed" and it was not pleasant. We pulled up in front to inquire about a room (the old fashion way) and was greeted by a very rude valet who kept telling us to unload our stuff and move our car. We tried telling him we don't have a reservation and asking where should we park and he stormed off. I went inside and waiting in a line of 5-6 people (about 10 min) to inquire about an oceanfront room and none of the 3 women working could answer if the king oceanfront room had a private balcony (not shared). The lady helping me left the desk for a few minutes to ask someone and still didn't have an answer. There's a $30/day resort fee and $18/day parking fee or $34/day valet fee. I was not impressed by the greeting we received or the lack of knowledge so we didn't book a room. The pictures looked beautiful and I had hoped we could stay there but first impressions matter. We went a few hotels down to the best western and got excellent service, and a decent ocean front room with a private balcony for $200 less. read more

We rented a suite on the 26th floor. The views were spectacular! Cannot say enough about the views! Also the suite itself was spacious, esp the shower and bathroom. More than enough linens. All thick and comfy! The living room area was set up to maximize the views. Furniture was comfortable. Dining table and chairs were spacious but didn't take up a lot of room. The bedroom also maximized the views. Everything was clean and worked. Unfortunately, the ac could not keep up w the heat coming through the single paned, floor to ceiling windows. Room was consistently 74° which was very uncomfortable for sleeping. Every night was miserable for sleeping. The employee who came up to check the ac said the air blowing was 53° and gave us to two floor fans to circulate the air. He said it was the single paned glass and the not enough tinting causing this issue. Also, we had the blackout curtains pulled closed all day. Why did we pay for a spectacular view only to close it off whenever we were in the suite. The indoor temp, with the fans, never lowered below 71°. This includes days during Tropical Storm Debby, when it was cooler and overcast outside. Also, the fans made a lot of noise, along with the ac. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff was friendly. The evening staff of the onsite restaurant, esp André, was superb. The dinner was delicious. The morning breakfast staff, including another André, was friendly. The lady who made the omelettes of the breakfast buffet made a perfect omelette. The valet guy was helpful in explaining how the resort worked for moving luggage. They would not allow guests to use the luggage carts themselves. Had to use the valet/bus boy. One could self park across the street in a nice multilevel garage for $18 per day or use valet for $33 per day. We opted to self park, no issues w crossing the streets. Our vehicle was always out of the sun, and stormy weather. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. If the room cooling issue was fixed, The Daytona Grande would be a 5/5 and a perfect place to stay while visiting Daytona Beach, Florida. read more

We booked through Expedia so the booking experience was simple. Check in was quick and the staff were pleasant. Friendly and helpful. We got the room we wanted and the room was nice. Room: clean and nice. Had basic toiletries but no hair dryer. The mini fridge was the best I've seen. It was bigger than the usual and even had a small section at the too that was a true freezer and froze well. We had ice for our way home when we checked out. Would have been nice if the TV was a smart one so we could watch one of our streaming services if we chose. Only basic cable channels were available. Bed was somewhat comfy but you could feel the indentions from being slept in already. Which I didn't expect with it being so new. AC was very loud when it ran but that is typical of hotels. Bring your ear plugs. Hotel Amenities: No ice vending on any floor. You had to go to the bar lobby and ask for it there. One disadvantage of staying in a hotel that really wasn't complete. The little store they had inside had basic chips/snacks but that was it. No drinks or toiletries you may have forgotten while packing or anything. One bar and a restaurant that was empty the whole time we were there. I didn't even know the name or the menu it offered. No signage or marketing or music. Nothing. The pool was nice and so was the jacuzzi. There was an outside bar I only saw someone attending in the morning for a few hours. No one in the evening or late afternoon. Location: probably the only really great thing about this hotel. I did like that it was right on the beach with a nice walkup ramp to the private section of the beach. Most streets that had fun shops/bars were in walking distance so we walked to most places. For the money we spent, the hotel has major opportunities. Just getting basic amenities up and running and really bring the hotel to life. It was very bland and boring. I wouldn't stay here again read more

The short version... the attention to detail and effort put out to ensure we were taken care of exceeds that of hotels that charge 3x the rates.. First, Kendall will be at the front desk, she went above and beyond with local insights. She was actually in training but you wouldn't know it. It clearly comes natural to make folks feel welcome!! Rob was the fella in charge of training Kendall. A genuine professional! I booked a room online through Expedia. It was my mistake and I did not select a room with a balcony facing the ocean. I really wanted to open the balcony and let the sunrise wake us up. I called Rob and Kendall at the front desk explained my mistake and asked if there was any way to sacrifice the 15th floor to move down a few floors but still have the ocean view of any kind. Rob asked us to come down and he would see what he could do. I knew that the ocean facing balcony would be an upgrade and was happy to pay.... But that didn't happen! Rob not only got us an ocean facing view ... he gave us the view on the top floor!!! And for less than any normal room upgrade we got the best view in the building !! They recognized it was really important to us and made it happen and not just happen... but beyond our expectations! We are so grateful to have met this team! We ran into a fella who visits Daytona often and could financially stay anywhere he pleased and chooses Daytona Grande every time. Inside tip... it is a perfect location for date nights in walking distance of where the nightlife is and feels safe! That's if you chose to wonder, the pool deck is where it's at the vibe was great the food and drinks along with ample seating for the whole crew... and the ocean is less than 25ft away! We enjoyed the infinity pool and the other guest we met loved that the towels were there and no one blinked if you took towels to the ocean front in fact the had separate bins for sandy used towels. The valet team did awesome as well, there is a father and son team that made an impact, opening the door and just showing pride in customer care. When we come back it will be to Daytona Grande it will be for room 2707 I can be a little demanding of my service providers but this group was up for it. One lasting impression was how they described the management philosophy! It reminded me of a world class company like Southwest where the customer is the focus and that trickled down to all they did we will send our friends and family only here moving forward. I stayed at Daytona Grande Oceanfront in October during off season. Mattresses in my room were comfortable - pillow top with a medium firmness. There was a refrigerator and freezer in the room which was nice, a desk, and a variety of soap/shampoos etc. The balcony is small but private and has 2 chairs and a small table to set your drinks on. I do not think the space would accommodate a third chair. The railing is glass for a full view and we witnessed a marriage proposal on the beach below us. The sliding glass door is double pane and offers excellent noise insulation. Let me remind you I visited in off-season on a slow beach weekend with minimal tourists. Direct oceanfront allowed for beautiful sunrises from the balcony and ambient noise of the ocean waves. Parking: all parking has a cost. Self parking is in a garage across the street and there is a valet option for $10 more. However, valet parked our vehicle in the self-parking garage so the only benefit is that we didn't personally have to cross the busy street. Valet did appear to be understaffed at the time of our visit and there was a wait, but this was off season. We will self-park next time. read more

To see the ocean out your window, you will need an "ocean front " room at an extra $100/night. This is not the only place with an infinity pool, (as advertised) my brother stayed 1 block away and they had an infinity pool a second pool and a lazy river at their place. Housekeeping came 3 times on a Saturday, non English speaking...somehow our room was never marked cleaned. They said "no service?" They put charges on your bill upon check-in without letting you know! I didn't know they put a extra $50 per night on my card until I got up to my room and checked my credit card charges. I was paying for two rooms so that $50 per night, per room @$200 was unexpected. I went back down to the desk to ask what the charge was for and she incidentals and valet. Valet, for both rooms and I only have one car? When were they going to let me know? I told her that communication is key! Explain what you're doing so that customers can be informed. Plus, they would not give me a printed copy of the breakdown of the charges so I have nothing concrete. I already didn't have too much faith that I would have a good experience when I received two emails that were meant for the hotel staff. Smh! read more

This past weekend my family and I were in town for an event at the Ocean Center. We booked two rooms: one ocean view (through Expedia, the way we discovered the hotel), and one city view (direct through the hotel's website. First: a recommendation... Sign up for an IPREFER account and book direct. You get a better deal and you get the opportunity for a later checkout that you don't get with the "discount" sites. My parents had to check out earlier than we did, which made our last morning a bit frustrating logistically. The hotel is in a great location, and it's beautiful inside and out. The spot of ocean the resort rests on is clean and not at all crowded. It's within an easy walking distance to restaurants at all price points, a water park, the pier, and the Ocean Center. When you walk in from the drop off/valet area, you ride a short escalator to the lobby area. As you ride up, you're greeted to an elegant, modern looking lobby with a great lounge area overlooking the ocean and pool. The theme is kind of a swanky sea theme from top to bottom. The ceiling has a cool wave pattern and there are neat ocean-themed touches like coral-shaped lights and hanging jellyfish lights throughout the lobby level. The pool is advertised as the only infinity pool in Daytona Beach, and it does not disappoint. It's a beautiful, clean looking space with plenty of comfortable loungers and seating for everyone. There's also an incredible pool bar with great drinks and excellent food. We were there all day on a gorgeous day, and the pool deck was busy, but it never felt crowded. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was that the ramp to the beach was temporarily closed due to recent hurricane damage, so if you wanted to visit the beach you had to come and go through the main entrance. It was a minor inconvenience, though. In addition to the pool bar, there's a little snack shop on the lobby level, a very nice and comfortable lobby lounge, and a fabulous on-site table service restaurant. We were a little nervous before we arrived because there's not a lot of information online about the restaurants and bars. They don't show up on apps like Yelp and OpenTable, they don't really seem to have names, and it's hard to find a drink or food menu. We managed to try all of them during our stay, though, and we were more than pleased. The drinks and food at the pool bar were very affordable, tasted great, and were made and delivered quickly. My wife and I really enjoyed the chicken quesadilla. My daughter had the chicken tenders, and her only complaint was that they didn't seem to come with a sauce (although admittedly she never asked). I do think one thing that could be improved would be a person or two to come around and deliver drinks and food to chairs, but it was still great. The lounge is cool also. There's plenty of VERY comfortable seating, and even when it was busy it never felt too crowded or loud. We particularly enjoyed their wines. We'd never heard of the labels we tried, but they were very nice. We only had breakfast at the restaurant on Sunday morning, but the value and food were great. We were seated immediately, and we all really enjoyed the oceanfront dining experience. The rooms are also awesome. Extremely spacious, very well decorated, and perfectly clean. The mattresses are to die for. They're super soft and comfortable. Not sure if they're memory foam or what, but they were very nice. I DO NOT recommend the city view rooms, however. While they're very nice inside, the main road below them has EXTREMELY loud cars and motorcycles going by all night long. Unless you are OK with sleeping in earplugs or don't mind noise, it can be pretty bad, and goes pretty much all day and night. The unquestionable number 1 best thing about the resort though, was the staff. From the moment you arrive and meet the valets, you're met with a friendly, efficient team that does their best to make every aspect of your stay an absolute delight. In particular, Amy and the rest of the pool bar team were just incredible. I've never seen such a small team work such a busy bar so well. We absolutely loved all of them, but I only managed to get Amy's name. Matthew on the pool deck was also awesome. He helped our group with anything we needed, and was friendly and smiling to everyone we saw him encounter. Our server at breakfast, Valery, was also lovely, and really brightened our morning. While we were a little hesitant to spend so much on a fancy beachfront hotel, everyone in our party was glad we did. We will definitely be returning anytime we are in Daytona Beach. read more

An older but renovated hotel right on the beach. I was greeted by the front desk and was even given a welcome card. The service was excellent and fast I was brought more towels when need and the bellhop was friendly and efficient. The valet was very nice and well priced and while being non pressuring. The view from the hotel is lovely. I would definitely recommend staying here especially during sea-turtle hatching season. read more

Mother/daughter weekend! Wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Great, friendly service from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. Great pool side bar with plenty of seating. There is also an inside bar and restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious, upscale dinner. Our server (sorry forgot his name) was friendly and very helpful. When we arrived, they were seating us toward the back. I asked if we could be closer to the windows overlooking the ocean. This request was immediately fulfilled. We also ordered room service after returning from a night out experiencing Daytona. Service was quick and the flatbread we ordered was yummy. All staff members are very friendly and knowledgeable. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean; awesome. The room was extremely clean and modern. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. We had ocean view and when we stepped into the hallway, we had intracoastal views. The hotel is within walking distance to bandshell, pier and all the beachside attractions. 1. It's not marked where you can see a sign like other hotels. 2. Very nice interior, contemporary. Lots of white and sea glass blue colors. 3. Beautiful Infiniti pool overlooking ocean and beach. Hot tub too. Towel service. 4. We stayed on 26th floor. Rooms were clean over all. The floors felt like something was on tgrm..felt like your feet were dirty. Made you want to wear shoes unless getting in bed. 5. I think the walls in the bathroom need cleaned...near toilet. More towels/ wash cloths and a bath mat should have been provided initially. Door needs cleaned too. 6. Only 1 very small garbage can for entire room. Doors going into room slam shut if not careful. Makes for some very startling noise. 7. A couple of comfortable lounge chairs would have been nice in the rooms. 2 plastic chairs were in the room. 8. Rooms decorated nice, contemporary look. Almost too much white. A little furniture would have made the room feel and look finished and relaxing. read more

Parking is expensive. Do not leave your luggage on the floor. We were on the 19th floor and we found an killed several silver fish type bugs, yuck. We did mention it to the front desk but they didn't offer to do anything or to move us. The hotel was no where near full either. Just a heads up read more

Here for an event, nice and clean. Staff could use a social refresher course, but not horrible. If you don't like squashy soft mattresses, you'll hate it here. If it were a sleep number, it's single digits. There's not even any stability if you're sitting on the edge trying to stand up. One of our party actually slept on the floor. The outdoor pool closes at dusk, they don't light it. Friday night on the beach,drinks poolside! - shuts down at 7/6pm If you're using a stroller or wheelchair, prepare to be inconvenienced. The only way to the main lobby on the second floor, is an elevator clearly not designed to be used by wheelchairs. There are terrible transitions to different surfaces/ through doorways, with large, wheel eating gaps Getting to the pool leads you through a very sketchy part of the building and up a very, very long, steep ramp where they forget to stock pool towels. If any managers read this: I challenge you to push someone you love, in a wheelchair, from the front door to the lobby and then out to the pool Or have someone push you.
