Was looking for a quick spot to grab some boba tea and so glad I found this spot! Upon walking in staff was so warming & welcome It was est. in 2001! They offer milk and non dairy options! I ordered a taro green milk tea and my best friend ordered the same but blended! They play music and it's a chill spot to get some work done as well as others were doing so.
Favorite drink here is the taro green milk tea. Anything with latte in the name has whole milk and anything with milk tea has non dairy milk! I believe it is coconut milk. I got full sweetness and it came out perfect! I was told ahead of time the taro will be a bit grainy as they blend real taro! Drinks came fast and it's a very bright & clean place. I can taste the infused green tea and fresh milk!
I got the taro milk tea with boba and it was delicious! They use real taro, not the powder, so the drink has some chunks in it and isn't purple colored. The staff made sure to explain that when I ordered and were very helpful. There's a few different seating options and some cute plants inside.
Overall, Dayung's is a pretty good milk tea spot! The prices are a little on the higher side, but the drinks are worth trying. I got my favorite -- the classic boba milk tea -- and luckily the pearls weren't soaked in too much brown sugar, so it wasn't overly sweet. The milk tea has a nice hint of caramel flavor, which is great if you like that kind of taste. The shop has a clean, simple vibe. Service was just okay, nothing special, but not bad either. Would definitely come back again when I'm craving something sweet but not too heavy!
I never thought I'd say this, but adding boba to my coffee might be my new obsession--and DaYung's Boba in Tempe nailed it. I ordered their house coffee (smooth, perfectly brewed, with just the right kick) and, on a whim, added boba pearls. Best decision ever! What I Loved: * House Coffee: Rich and balanced--not too bitter, not too weak. Perfect on its own. * Boba Addition: The chewy pearls add such a fun texture and just the right hint of sweetness. It transforms your morning cup into something special. * Service: Super friendly baristas who are happy to make recommendations and customize your drink. * Ambiance: Bright, modern, and clean with plenty of seating. Great spot to work or catch up with friends. * Extras: They've got a full menu of teas, smoothies, and bakery items if you want to switch it up next time. If you're a coffee lover who's curious about boba (or a boba fan who needs a caffeine boost), do yourself a favor and try the house coffee with boba at DaYung's. You won't regret it!
Hands down some of the best boba I had! The staff here is so friendly and efficient. My partner ordered a banana milk tea with aiyu jelly. I ordered my usual of an oolong milk tea with tapioca and pudding. All of the drinks were made to order with one size only, and they have plenty of chairs and tables for people to hang out and enjoy their drinks. There's also board and card games. The place is clean and located in a strip mall. There's free parking on premise that's shared with other businesses in the strip mall. They also give punch cards, where you can collect 10 stamps for a free drink. I would totally come back here when I'm in the area next, and I'd recommend DaYung to anyone in the area looking for bubble tea.
My family and I like DaYung. They use fresh fruit like strawberries and mango when they are in season. The strawberry fresh milk & strawberry passion is one of our favorites. The mango boba drinks are what we get too. Their Jasmine green tea is alright, but what they are really known for & what they are good at making is fresh fruit teas. Only negative is price increase and they sometimes run out of boba. They offer stamp cards. Highly recommend!
If you want boba drinks that taste delicious, this is the place to go. They have many different flavors, such as milk tea, tea, coffee, and fruit smoothies. They also have varieties of toppings, such as boba, grass jelly, aiyu, chia seeds, Oreo, macchiato, coconut jelly, etc. The service was great. The cashier was friendly and efficient. Our order was taken and the drinks was ready in less than 10 minutes. The atmosphere of the store was relaxing. The put a lot of plants around the store, making it a place to relax. I do believe it will be more relaxing if they use darker paint for their wall. But as far as drinks concern, it was tasty and delicious. During this visit I got my personal favorite green milk tea and my wife got the new cloud coffee. The cloud coffee tasted like a blended Vietnamese coffee. I actually like it better than normal Viet coffee because I like blended drinks lol Also they closed on Monday and Tuesday. So if you free on other days, definitely check it out guys!
This place is usually a solid 5 for me, but I also haven't visited in the longest time. Something was just off about my recent visit. I'm not sure if it's because I came on a weekday in the summer, or perhaps something else? For starters there was a strange smell, and it wasn't faint.. it honestly smelled like the sewer backed up to put it bluntly. I don't know how the employees could handle it, perhaps you go scent blind after a while? Which brings me to the next thing that was off... the service. No one was cheerful, or lively. My favorite tea spot! You can smell the fresh tea as soon as you walk in. The place is small but always clean. My all-time favorite drink is the Pink Beauty with 30% sugar, it's perfectly balanced and refreshing. In the winter, I switch to their warm boba tea, which is just as good. The service is always great and fast. I highly recommend this awesome Taiwanese tea spot!
What separates this spot is that it has been consistently preparing great Tea. They use fresh fruits, and it doesn't taste like powders so the results are great Teas. I've been here a few times, tried a lot of different drinks, and I usually enjoy what I get. Today I tried the Mango green tea with aloe vera topping, a seasonal flavor. It has a nice light mango flavor to the tea. This was my first time trying the aloe topping and I think it's a great addition to add to fruity teas. The taro green tea is good for taro lovers since there's taro chunks in it. The Oreo milk tea was a little weird just because of the flavor, if you get the Oreo milk tea make sure you shake it up before putting your straw in, or else you won't taste the Oreo at all since it sits at the top of the cream. Personally I don't think the tea/fruity drinks here are that sweet even at 100%, so if you're a sweet lover make sure you get 75-100% sweetness. I think the milk teas are sweet at 100%. Very cute place. It's in the Fry's plaza right next to Casa Reynoso. They have really fast service although the employees didn't seem really happy to be working. I ended up getting the Strawberry Lemon fusion which is basically lemon juice with blended strawberries. I didn't get any ad ons with it. It was pretty refreshing and delicious. Would definitely return to try their teas. read more
After dinner wanted to get boba drink so it was only 10 min where we're at. Came in was greeted and the girl at the register is very nice and her recommendation was the boba sweet cream boba, it taste so good and my fiancé has his caramel milk tea with boba. Da Yung boba tea shop in Tempe is always so busy. They have a standard standardized menu of boba drinks and if you're a regular you'll know exactly what to order each time you go. So the wait is not that bad even if you are standing in line waiting to order. The staff is friendly and the area in the back looks clean. Their service is quite fast. Da Yung offers a weekly special which if it includes your favorite drink it's a win-win. Also if the drink of the week is not your favorite it gives you the opportunity to test it to see if that will become your new favorite. Parking is usually not a problem even though they have a few other stores nearby that are busy. The employees are fast that are preparing the drinks and they're friendly and offer up the option for a bag if you order multiple drinks. read more
WOW! I am from the SF Bay Area (lots of bubble tea there) and have spent a lot of time in Taiwan (indisputable origin of bubble tea). This place is super impressive and I'd rather come here than any other spot in the Bay Area. I got a roasted oolong milk tea with boba for around $6. The cup was massive. They use non-dairy creamer for their milk teas which gives it a very authentic flavor. The tea flavor was also very strong-- not watered down at all. I got my drink at 50% sweetness and it was perfect for me. I heard the cashier giving sweetness recommendations to other customers, so it doesn't hurt to ask if you're unsure about sweetness. The pearls are perfectly cooked! Chewy, flavorful, and not too sweet. I also got to try their strawberry beauty drink and it was great, too! It had a good balance of tartness from the fruit without being too sugary. The prices here are great for the portion you get. There is a little something for everyone whether you're looking for classic milk tea, something fruity, no dairy, or no caffeine. read more
Really solid milk tea! Service was quick and friendly. I called in my order and it was ready by the time I got there (~10 min). I got the green milk tea, less ice, 30% sweetness with boba. Small place located in a strip mall. There're a few tables inside and a wide variety of drinks to select from. I ordered double boba because most places don't give enough (or as much as I'd like ;)) and they do NOT skimp. I got the Thai tea and they were able to customize the sweetness level for me, and double boba and it was delicious. High quality. Friendly service. Easy parking. read more

I was on the mood for bubble tea this past weekend and I went here to give it a try since I was close by. I got a green milk tea with boba which the tea came back strong, the boba was chewy and sweet enough for the drink. I highly recommend this place. read more

Ordered a large green milk tea (50% sugar, light ice) with boba and enjoyed it! I appreciate the ability to customize the order. Even near closing time, the tapioca pearl consistency was excellent -- chewy and soft, but firm enough to keep its shape. The tea itself was creamy and well blended with a very reasonable sweetness level (only 50%). I prefer going to Dayung's over many other boba/ bubble tea shops in the area since the tapioca pearl quality is high. Recommend for this alone. For safety, the interior had all the tables blocked off and all staff members I saw wore masks. read more

My friend and I loved DaYung's so much that we came back a couple days after our initial visit. They weren't busy around 1:30pm on a Friday or Saturday. I loved that they had samples at the front register, so that you could try one of their drinks before purchasing. I ended up trying: -Pink Beauty (Grapefruit Paste Blended with Ai-yu & Aloe, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Jk-9yrMZFP2WlfLhldCxaw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Yum- this drink is super refreshing, and perfect for those hot Arizona days. The ai-yu and aloe add to the texture of the drink, and I really liked the grapefruit flavor- recommended! -Grapefruit Green Tea: Solid version of a fruit green tea, and their green tea had a lighter flavor. -GuanYin Latte: Good- this tea was smooth and had a slightly roasty note. -Black Tea Macchiato (+ Caramel Boba, $4.91): This had a solid tea flavor, but it wasn't very sweet at 30% sweet. The caramel boba is slightly sweeter than the regular boba though, and balanced the sweetness level. Our biggest complaint about DaYung's is that they only have one size, which is large. The first time, I had a light lunch and was able to finish my drink. The second time, I barely made it 3/4 of the way through. I hope they end up adding another size option! There was plenty of parking in this plaza the both times we went since it had ample spots. read more

Walked in and got excellent service today. I've been here twice and had so many questions. I'm used to getting the same boba drink so trying something new was exciting but also scary. If you're looking for boba specifically and you like taro or honeydew to like me, this isn't the spot to visit. Coming here be ready to try something different. The taro boba has real taro pieces and is pretty grainy, very minimal sweetness. However, this time we tried pink beauty and black crystal, both delicious. Black crystal is very sweet, and my pink beauty gave me summer vibes, I know it'll be an excellent drink to order when it gets super hot. Sweet and tangy. DaYung's Tea has one size for their drinks which makes it easy to order for all you indecisive people. I was happy to get such a big cup for the value. However, the plastic cup seal was weak and the cup a little flimsy. When I poked the straw through it was not a clean break. The hole was then oblong. From then it was cup eruption and spillage everywhere every time I picked up the cup because the cup squeezed in displaced the liquid through the top hole. Think of it as a BOBA DIAPER BLOWOUT. I am glad for the reduced plastic cups, but while saving on plastic, I just killed an entire tree using a wad of napkins to soak it up. Just beware of the puking cup effect. The Milk Tea with Caramel boba was decent. The tea was not on the sweet side which can be a good thing because you can get it more sweet if you desire. The caramel boba I would not get again. The boba was bland and not sweet at all. What a disappointment. I imagined it to be so good with the milk tea. I think next time I will get the fruit drinks which is what they seem to be known for. I had a problem when ordering because the staff member taking my order was soft spoken and when I asked questions, they spoke very quickly and softly and had to keep asking them to repeat themselves. I am glad no one was waiting behind me at the moment. The rest of the shop is simple with your standard board games avaialble for entertainment. The drinks I got are SO GOOD!!! They have no popping boba but I was pleasantly surprised with the tapioca pearls!!! They were very soft and sweet! They have different jellies though! This is my favorite boba place so far!! I love it!!! The employees were sweet and deserve to be tipped very well! I don't think this place is americanized so much. I think this is the most authentic you can get in America. The ambience is nice and relaxing. I feel like I can think there so it'd be a great place to get projects done read more

Came here on a whim since there's a pretty good ramen place next door. I tried out a pretty basic order -- caramel boba latte. My boyfriend got the wintermelon latte (iced is default btw). My drink tasted pretty ordinary, but wow, I really enjoyed the wintermelon latte! Very creamy and tasty! Definitely will be using this place for my wintermelon cravings. I feel like wintermelon lattes can be hit or miss, some places taste very artificial. But this place has solid wintermelon. Also, I was impressed with the size of the drink. Maybe it's just a Vegas thing, but our milk teas are like half the size for the same price. The barista was super nice and even recommended some of her favorite drinks! There is always a long line here!! I heard so many good things about this place from different people. I tried it for the first time a few months ago and thought it was okay. Went back since I was in the area and tried it again and it was better than my first experience! There is only one size to all the drinks which helps with decision making! Wintermelon Latte: I have had better wintermelon drinks elsewhere. It was okay. The boba was decent. Tried this drink for the second time and it was still okay to me. Milk tea with grass jelly: This one was really good! The milk tea was delicious! If you like the grass jelly to be soft, then you will love their grass jellies here! There are so many different drinks here so will definitely be coming back to try out the other ones. I heard their fruit tea drinks are good too! read more
I liked this place so much I came back twice during my 3 day trip to Phoenix. First time: Please note that the creamer they use is not non-dairy but their milk tea was delicious so it was well worth it!!! The second time around I got a orange juice green tea drink for the 6 hour drive back to LA. Also very good and did not disappoint. I appreciate that their drinks are not overly sweet and the consistency is perfect. Best part is ... prices are so low for boba. You get a large cup for under $4. Cant ever get that back in LA. This is a cute boba place and it seemed very popular when we went. That's how you know it must be good! I had the green milk tea with added boba and my girlfriend had the standard boba milk tea. The tea was great - I ordered it with 70% sugar to make it slightly less sweet and I feel like anywhere in the range of 50%-70% would be good. The boba was the perfect balance of firmness and chewiness. When we arrived, they also gave us samples of the strawberry smoothie which was very welcoming. I would be interested in trying the mango smoothie when I come back. My girlfriend is a boba fanatic, so I imagine we will be coming back here on numerous occasions. read more

Milk tea and smoothie are my favorites, especially with added boba! This time I tried banana milk tea + boba and kiwi & strawberry smoothie + boba. Both were great, but I always prefer milk tea. You can customize the sugar level of your drinks which is a great option! read more
Got the Orange Beauty and Pink Beauty bubble teas with aloe vera and 50% less sugar. I enjoyed the aloe, but there were no bubbles in either one (none that I could find), so that was a bit weird. Are they just diluted into the tea? I'm used to solid tapioca balls in the tea, so I was confused by the lack of solid starch! Regardless, I loved the flavors. This is my favorite spot when it comes to boba. As an Asian, I hate it when my milk tea is water down or has too much artificial flavor. However, this place has the strongest tea flavor of all boba place i've tried before. Their boba is chewy as well, not mushy. Overall 10/10 read more

I was beyond excited when I saw that I was super close to this place, since I've had it bookmarked for a while now! We stopped by on a Sunday evening and it was quite quiet when we arrived. The employee quickly ran from the back to help us out when she saw us approach the counter. She was friendly and greeted us right away, and she then gave us a sample of their milk green tea. My friend ended up liking the green milk tea so she ordered one with boba. I ended up ordering their promo of the day which was a black tea macchiato. The drinks were made rather quickly, and one of the employees brought them out to our table. At this point, they got pretty busy and there was now a line, so it got quite noisy inside. Our drinks were great! The boba was delicious and it was the right consistency. My black tea macchiato one of a kind and I really wish i had some right now....... MMMM. They have plenty of seating available and the music was poppin. We will definitely be back again when in the area! read more

Oh golly, where do I start? It's been five long years now since I laid my taste buds upon my first DaYung's green milk tea with boba, and boy, have those years been unbelievably tasty, all thanks to this fantastic tea shop. DaYung's Tea is, by FAR, my favorite boba shop I've ever had the pleasure of visiting hundreds of times. I first stopped by DaYung's Tea on a whim when I was on my way home from a physical therapy appointment for my knees (I used to be fat so my knees hurt). At the time, I had just tried boba for the first time recently from a different shop, and I was craving it again after my appointment. DaYung's was right on my way home, so I stopped in and ordered my green milk tea with boba. The very instant the first atom of green milk tea interacted with one of the taste buds on my tongue, I felt my entire world fall apart and rebuild itself into a boba-filled, fun-filled yummy-yummy-in-my-tummy brown sugar boba milk tea to the infinity flavored universe! It was love at first taste. I'd never felt this way before about a tea shop, and I haven't since. I was so happy with my experience that I applied for a job at DaYung's right then and there... ok actually my mom told me to apply but still it was really good! I was quickly hired by the manager, Gina, and started as a cashier. I did that for about a month and was really bad at it, so they moved me to the kitchen to brew the tea and cook the boba, among other things. I gotta be honest with you guys, the ingredients they use for everything I made in the kitchen were all extremely high quality. Once I figured out how everything was made, I immediately understood why this place was so freaking delicious. Also, I think it's worth mentioning that the two managers (at the time, I'm not sure about now) are a very nice married couple with kids, and they were great bosses. Every shift I worked, one of the managers or the baristas would make me a free drink of my choice, so I got to try out almost the entire menu in the two years I worked at DaYung's. Every drink is delicious, and that is not an exaggeration. I think my favorite tea drink has to be the oolong milk tea with boba and 50% sugar. It brings a very unique taste but is immediately lovable after the first sip. My favorite smoothie is, UNDENIABLY, the strawberry fresh milk, a perfect blend of strawberry and sweet milky creamy goodness! Some honorable mentions are the classic boba milk tea, DaYung's Fresh Fruit Tea, DaYung's House Coffee, the Jade Lemon, and the Pink Beauty. Every drink is so full of mind-blowing flavor, it's difficult to believe you aren't dreaming as you feverishly suck the ever-living life out of the cup! I have yet to find a boba shop as consistently delicious as DaYung's Tea. Ever since I stopped working at DaYung's in the summer of 2020, I've been a consistent customer, and my love for this place hasn't faded a bit. I've even had the great pleasure of visiting the store they have in San Diego, which offers a few unique drinks such as the avocado fresh milk. I've tried avocado milkshakes from numerous other places and have even made many of my own, but none of them compare to the avocado fresh milk with boba that Dayung's Tea in San Diego makes. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend visiting that location. Anyway, thank you, DaYung's Tea, for everything you've done for me and my taste buds.
