They didn't have the matcha frothing available in the morning so I settled for a large sugar free mocha cold, and took a premade Premier Protein shake to go ($7, don't do this, super overpriced and you can just walk to Target nearby). They also didn't have 32oz cups available for some reason. I had time to go check out and come back and my drink still wasn't ready for some reason, but thankfully I wasn't waiting too long. The mocha was okay - still somehow too artificially sweet and not much coffee flavor for me. Coffee wasn't bad! It was right below the hotel I was staying at. They weren't busy when I came down close to 11am. You can enter from inside the hotel which was convenient. There's no seating, just an ordering counter. I got a vanilla latte with oat milk. Pretty delicious! And it did the job to wake me up. The staff was nice. Polite too. I love the coffee. It's a great place to grab a to-go coffee. I'm sad to see that they don't have the business. The baristas admitted the crowds come around the weekend. This location is one of the few coffee options near the convention center -- which, depending on your conference and if they paid for on-site coffee -- can be very important. I showed up 2 days in a row (Thursday & Friday) at 6:00am to beat the rush from my conference. Unfortunately, they don't open until 6:30am, despite what it says online. However, the extremely kind opening shift batista took pity on me and made me my two drinks (mocha & white chocolate mocha with peppermint) a little before opening. In that time, we had good conversation. She was very friendly, working hard to get things prepped for a smooth day, and shared that since the pandemic the location had been struggling. I'm from Seattle (Read: Coffee Snob) so the coffee wasn't the best. But, it was prepared with early morning kindness. Which somehow made it taste a little better. Besides -- supporting local is always better than national chain. Highly recommend this spot if you're staying nearby or need a conference pick-me-up. read more

So, i have read a few other reviews, and all I will do is sign the check on the comments that state "if you are a coffee lover, you are not coming here for coffee. If you just need a cup to get your morning going, this is convenient. With so many other options, i would give other local shops a shot. I also got a GF zucchini bread slice and it literally was crumbs when I unwrapped it. I ate it, it was fine on flavor but what a mess. The coffee shop is attached to the Hilton. As we had gone to brunch the first and second morning of our stay we didn't get coffee until the third morning before heading out to the airport. The shop is super tiny, but cute. I walked in, and the barista was making coffee for another patron. I waited until he was done, I ordered one iced latte and one regular iced coffee. I don't know if he didn't want to make an iced latte, I don't know if he thought asking for an regular iced coffee was beneath him, but he seemed super annoyed at my order. Pretty sure I caught an eye roll. I taught high school, I can spot an eye roll across the room. "Sugars over there" nodding in the general direction of the coffee bar. Maybe he was having a bad day. Maybe the patron before me was super obnoxious before I walked in. I was willing to let it go until the next patrons walked in... "HI!!! GOOD MORNING!!! What can I do for you this morning?" So regular consumers only get good treatment? However, the coffee was good. No burnt starbucks taste, slightly cheaper than starbucks. The salads and pastries looked fresh and double the size of starbucks. If we stayed at this hotel again, I might go back because of the convenience and better coffee. read more

In town on business and found this coffee shop chain. Little shop with just enough space for a line to get coffee. Much better then the usual chain offerings from seattle. Coffee was rich and flavorful, a deep roast but not burnt to hide inferior quality beans or poor taste. The staff was pleasant and quick; they were able to make short work of the long morning line of convention goers. The coffee had a deep rich flavor that had some mild chocolate undertones to it. I usually have my coffee black or with just a bit of sugar. Unfortunately a particular chain requires some milk to mask that burnt taste of their roast, not so at Dazbog. They also have a special brewing option that will have them brew an individual cup for someone, but I did not have the time to partake. If I did perhaps that would have bumped it to a 5 star. read more

Part of a chain, this particular location is tucked away inside of the Hilton Garden Inn. Nothing remarkable here. A scone and a soda exceeded $5, and it really wasn't worth the bother. It's proximity to the convention center probably explains the higher prices. Wouldn't recommend. read more

The most average coffee shop in the universe, located in the most average hotel in the universe. Not having spent time in Denver, I didn't realize Dazbog was a chain. It's a local Denver-area chain, but it still provides that sterile, plastic feel that only a Starbucks could otherwise provide. Of course, I wasn't going to let its status as a chain shop stop me from caffeinating myself there every morning while in Denver. Since it's located in the lobby of the hotel where I was staying (Hilton Garden Inn), it was just too convenient to pass up. The beverages themselves are completely passable. I enjoyed my daily vanilla chai latte. Sweet, not too sweet, but always a little watered down for my taste. The important thing was that it provided the pick-me-up that I needed each morning. (I never stayed at Dazbog for more than 5 minutes. I'm more of a caffeinate-on-the-run kind of guy.) I did appreciate the random Russian touches in the decor. They even had little matryoshka dolls on sale by the cashier. My family would probably disown me if I bought one, but it was a cute touch nonetheless. The staff? Efficient, but kinda distant and stand-offish. Maybe they're just as cranky in the morning as I am. (I thought about saying "spacebo" instead of "thank you", but realized that I would only receive blank stares in return.) Am I dying to return? Not really. Did it do the trick? Sure. read more

This coffee shop sits across the street from my work. After about 3 years I finally decided to head over during the holiday season to see what they had to offer.The coffee menu seemed pretty common to any coffee shop except with their own names to drinks such as a cooler is their version of a frap. I dont usually drink coffee and if I do its the holiday pumpkin spice or in the summer just a mocha frap. I didnt see any holiday drinks so I inquired. They did indeed have the holiday flavors like startbucks. why dont they advertise?? I went with the pumpkin spice cooler. I liked it a lot. I feel it is creamer (but not to creamy) but yet more pumkin spice than the typical coffee shop. What I also liked was there were no big ice chunks! The guys working are nice and remember me when I randomly come in once or twice a year. I did have their mocha frap but did not like it as much. it was sweet just not my thing. I found out they keep the pumpkin spice flavor all year long which is awesome. The drinks do have a different taste than a typical coffee shop and I couldnt tell you what it is beause I dont go very often but I like it! i would recommend this place! read more
