We visited the Delectable Egg while in town for a conference. Our server, Nicole, was excellent! She was polite, professional, efficient, and simply on top of everything. She was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to address food allergy questions well. Most of us figured, when in Denver.........So we ordered the Denver omelets. The one person who didn't ordered simple bacon and eggs. The one Denver omelet that was a special order for the food allergies came out as ordered. Yes! I was staying nearby and came here for breakfast on a weekday when there was a large conference in town. They were moderately busy, but I was quickly seated. The breakfast menu is loaded with lots of tasty options, so much so that I had a tough time deciding. I ultimately chose their Stacked Ranchero Breakfast, which came out pretty quickly. I got the aspen alley skillet, it was ok. The veggies weren't sautéed at all and were basically raw. I would've liked them cooked better. You do not come here for the ambience. The restaurant is old looking. Beige/brown carpet tiles, old looking ceiling tiles, and the place looks tired. If you can get past that you will enjoy your experience. If you're staying in the Sheraton Hotel across the street you would immediately notice the contrast. If you're use to coming to more modern places this will definitely make you say wow. I am not sure if they are deliberately looking for this look although all the hotels and businesses surrounding them are modern looking. In search for breakfast we found this cute place. Upon entering I was like "what a old fashioned restaurant ". It's been a while since I was in this kind of place. Most of the people were like 60 plus so me and hubby were the youngest. Lol (we are bot even that young). Anyway I order tea and I was impressed the way how they served. We ordered (2) coffees (decaf/regular) and they came out quick. My coffee was cold and when I asked if I could get it warmer they brewed a new batch for me! For food, we ordered their breakfast burrito w/ pork chili sauce and Meat Lovers omelette. Both were so yummy! Like we (me lol) were really shocked. I must note I prefer breakfast at home rather than out, but since we are traveling I have of course drifted to the breakfast menu items when out for brunch. I placed the order online and to-go so I don't have any comments on the table service. It was a little odd when I got there to pick up my order, they said they didn't have it in their system so one of the hostesses went to the back, and "found it". I waited in their front lobby which has benches with signs over them for Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc., which created a interesting to-go centric vibe, but it was convenient to have a place to sit while I waited for my food.
