I had lost my kill switch chip on my 1991 Chevy S10 truck and had trouble getting it started. Once I fixed the issue at home I looked for a place where I could take it to get serviced with some minor electric issues the truck had. Once the owner saw the old alarm and radio I had for decades he advised me it was time to upgrade. I advised him of the current issues I had and I wanted them corrected. He installed a new alarm, Pioneer CD radio, and fixed all the minor electric problems. I was so happy that this was done and over with and I didn't have to deal with it anymore. My car alarm remote was broken the key ring separated from the remote. I had bought one from Amazon but could not match it up with the instructions on youtube. DB was able to sync my remote with my alarm. While I was there I asked about speakers for my 2002 Honda CRV. They had 6 1/2 inch Pioneer 2 way Coaxial speakers for the front doors. My new speakers sounds great with bass and sparkling treble instead of the dull thump from my stock cone speakers. Installation took 15 minutes the owner really knows what he's doing. read more

I visited again and yet again got treated like royalty. I traded in my Hellcat Redeye because I was spending $1,200 more a month than what I am spending now with my new used car. Also after 2 attempted robberies and 3 burglary attempts it was time to get rid of it. This place doesn't disappoint. Great tech and very knowledgeable. I upgraded my factory alarm to the Viper alarm. I now have shock and motion sensors that do not come standard with my 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XSE. I also have remote start that I can control either from my key fob or the app. If I forget to turn on my alarm after a couple of minutes the alarm will automatically arm. A few years ago, my parents had an issue with their car alarm/locking system on their 2001 Honda Civic. They were not able to unlock and lock all their doors with the OEM remote. Duc was able to quickly diagnose the problem and install a new car alarm/locking system efficiently as well. This allowed us easy access to all car doors which was very helpful and convenient. He also charged us a very fair price for the work. The system still works well to this day! read more

Took my 2010 Chevy HHR to DB because the original radio/CD player went bad. The owner is a nice person, Vietnamese I think. I say that because communication with him can be challenging. He suggested a Pioneer replacement unit. However, the OnStar system on GM cars can make aftermarket replacement problematic. After the Pioneer was installed (with special adaptors) it sounded GREAT. But after a few weeks, it intermittently stopped sending signal to the left speakers (not acceptable), and also would not power up unless reset by disconnecting the battery for a while (very big hassle). Have taken my car back twice. Owner recommended new speakers (though I know the speakers are fine), and I guess he expected me to disconnect the battery when the unit was dead. Guess I will start again with another shop. read more

I came here back in summer 2019 to have my head unit installed also I quoted a day before installation was done to my 1999 Toyota 4Runner. He did not usually open on Sunday but an exception for me to come in and do it. Fast forward to winter 2021 and decide to have my head unit removed and reinstalled in a different vehicle and he was happy to do it. I come back in January of 2022 to have removed and reinstalled again in a different vehicle but he was happy to the job again. This place is just great. I've been a customer for a couple years now. The owner has installed alarm locks to 3 of my vehicles for the past 4 years. Never has he done a bad job. Very friendly guy and he will give you advice when you ask for it. Had a stereo installed here. It stopped working after 2 days. I paid $600 for stereo and installation. The stereo had no brand. I told the guy that I don't want it anymore since the stereo doesn't work and just put back my original stereo. He said it's too much work. I told him I will pay him $200 just to do that. He wanted $350 no less. So I paid him $350! I wasted my time and money for nothing. I will never go back to this place again. You don't just charge a customer $350 for about an hour of work since your stereo doesn't work. That's just bad business. read more

If you're experiencing anything related to audio systems this is the place to go. My trucks (Chevy Silverado) after market stereo system which is a pioneer just stopped working out of the blue. I came here and he was very honest and told me it could either be this or that and the price for each situation. He took out the radio and tested each wire and found the problem. He even explained why and explained how he was going to fix it. Sure enough he fixed it put it back together and even asked if I wanted to add car play! I agreed and couldn't have been more happier. They even went the extra mile to tape together all the loose wires that another person just shoved in which is why one got messed up and basically burned out. I highly recommend this small shop, they're honest and you won't feel like you spent more than what you had to. I guess this is why they have been in business 33 years!!! I'd highly recommend this store to anyone in need of auto security. The gentleman running the shop installed an alarm that I'd purchased elsewhere. From research I knew how much a basic installation would cost, although due to my car's model it took two full hours of hard work. The price was exactly what I'd expected however despite the complicated and lengthy install. To top it off, cash that I'd lost even reappeared!! WOW talk about trustworthy!! Came here on a Saturday with my bf to install an old radio we had from a previous car into our Corolla. The gentleman who's been there for over 10 years and who sold us that radio back then helped us out real quick. He took a look at our radio and car model and suggested we invest in a new radio fully equipped with bluetooth, USB outlets, and remote control. It was more than we were hoping to spend but, the comparison to reinstall the old radio and purchasing a new one with installation was not too comparable. So, we went with the new one. We paid cash and was out of there within 45 mins with our new radio installed, ready to be put to good use. The sound and bass with the new radio is amazing. Even tho the car is an early 2000 model Carolla, the radio makes the car young and alive again. read more

I love this guy! Duc is one person I'll probably never forget! Yes he could come off pretty mean when you first meet him but if you sit down and get to know him, he's like the best person ever! His car radios are pretty cheap and trust me there really good quality! Other places you'll have to wait hours or even days to get your radio installed but with him he does it same day and less then 1 hour! I has a lot of cool things in there! Come check him out! If you're reading my review, I'd say there's a 95% chance that you got a DUI and you need to have an ignition interlock device (IID) installed on your ride. If your lazy and don't like to read, don't come to this shit place and go to Draeger Safety Diagnostics in Whittier. **** DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY HERE **** Rated F for service and F on pricing because they will RIP YOU OFF **** Called around and checked out various installers that the DMV provided. Found this place down the street from my house and offered FREE install. Called the installer and set up an appt. Other places charged $25-$30 that's why I was sold. Arrived on time and the owner/franchisee/installer made me watch this instructional video. Told me how much it was going to cost and made me initial and sign on the lease agreement. $84.84 to be exact a month for 5 month (1st offense is 5 months). This guy grabs all the equipment and tells me to go wait outside or to come back in 30 minutes. This is in the middle of May and it's at least 90 outside, 2:30 in the afternoon. His friend is on the couch reading the newspaper and chilling in front of the ac. I told him I have no where to go and I'll stock around until the job is done. He tells me again to wait outside. I asked why can't I sit inside on the couch? That is your customer waiting room right? Its hot outside I told him. He then made it clear that I had to wait outside and that his friend was leaving. I flipped out. I have never heard such a thing so I had to let him have it. After I chewed him out, he STFU and got to work. I waited outside for about 15 minutes. The job was done. The IID known as Smart Start, the one I chose to install in my car was the biggest mistake I've made since I got the DUI besides opting to pay the $1800 fine or Caltrans (I chose county jail, which is even worse). For the remaining 5 month, I must have blown at least 10K times. This unit, supposedly 1st gen would beep every 15-25 minutes after the initial startup blow, no matter where you were on the road and you must blow into the unit until you get a pass. This is all within 6 minutes. If you don't register a pass within the 6 minutes, it will register as a fail. You have 6 violations a month. If you use all six within the month, you would have to call corporate and obtain a bypass key. Which costs around $80. Luckily I had never had this happen but I was very close. If you don't call for that bypass key/number, you can not start your car. Period! I know this don't make much sense but try YouTubing IID/SMART START COMPLAINT and I remember seeing a video posted by some girl expressing her frustrations. Trust me on this who ever you are. Thank me later BC I'm about to save you a lot of time/trouble and BS that this installer and this company called Smart Start has done to me. I'll try to cut this short. Once this is installed, you will get a certificate, which you have to turn into the DMV or you have to mail it to DMV Sacramento. When they receives this form, I think it's called DL924, that's when the clock starts ticking. You can remove it 5 months after they receive this form, not 5 month from the date of the install. There was a gap from my install day and the day I had the form turned to the DMV. Had to pay an additional $84.84 for 9 extra days of use, additional monthly charge can not be prorated. Rip off...OK. So finally the day comes to remove this POS machine. The dude tells me $100 is the removal fee. Shows me this size 8 font agreement on the very bottom of the lease contract. I said fine. F it, get over it, I'll pay the fing $100. I tell him I need another form DL922 so I can turn it to the DMV to relieve me of any future liability. He tells me I don't need it. I call corporate to verify, they confirmed DL922 is required or else I'm not off the hook. Corp tells me they will overnight thr forms to the installer and to go back the next day. I return the next day for the form. There's at least 10 different fields that he has to fill out including your full name, address, DL number, and VIN. How can you tell me that I don't need this form? This is not the 1st time that you removed a IID device. This is not your 1st day as a franchisee. Mofo was BSing me. Its been a month now and I'm still pissed of at how this installer has treated me as a client. Please go somewhere else and save you the anger and pain. I wish there was a review of this place b4 I came here. Hope my exp will help you out. That's what its all about and I know your hurting right now. read more

So the BMW dealership thought it would be a good idea to tamper with and cut the wires that connected my dash cam when I took my car in for an inspection. Unbelievable.
