When we arrived we thought the place was closed but looking closer in the window we saw people inside and decided to go in. Once we entered we were greeted by a young man who seated us. Just moved to the area and have been to this place twice in the last three days -- really, really good. Burgers are incredible on the sports bar side, cooked perfectly, and the portions are midwesternesque! Also love the vibe here -- you could bring a date here for a steak, buddies here for post-golf apps and drinks, head in for evening beers, or stop in for lunch and it works for all of them. A great combination of classy steak house and fun sports bar. I've been here several times over the years and have always found decent service and good food. This trip was for a nice birthday dinner. We were seated in the dining room, near the open kitchen. There is plenty of room between tables which I always appreciate. They even had a piano player, which was a nice touch. My prime rib was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The creamed spinach was just ok, but that potato was fantastic. Full bar offering the barley passable selection of craft brew. Sierra Nevada, Racer 5, etc, etc... The service was a little slow this time. Waited a little too long to get drinks and such. Otherwise we had a nice time. read more

I was going to say that apparently it is just when you go sit down here the experience is terrible and to always just get your food to go. But unfortunately no... To start why was I asked "do you need change" on a 30$ TAKEOUT ORDER THAT I HANDED YOU $40 FOR? Do pick up orders require a $10 tip? I would usually be happy to leave a tip, when it is left to me how much I would like to give. If this was a small restaurant where I thought the girl who rang me up also made my food of course I would tip on a take out order as well but a restaurant this large that has continuously disappointed me over the last 4 years certainly not. Awful experience on Mother's Day. Our food took two hours and my 5-year-old's food came last. It's just cruel to make little kids wait that long for their dinner. No manager on site to complain to, and not much our server could do. Had to flag down servers to refill waters and bread, and remove plates. We made reservations for the 17th to celebrate my birthday as well as have our traditional Christmas Dinner which this year we chose the DB Steakhouse & Bar. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all, as a matter of fact there was only 1 other couple there. We were seated promptly and that's about the only good thing that happened. We waited 15 minutes for our waitress to come, she introduced herself which I can't remember her name because at that point I was almost ready to walk out. She took our orders and we were quick to order our appetizers, fried pickles and mozzarella sticks. I had ordered the steak and lobster, asked for it cooked "medium". My wife ordered the steak salad and my daughter ordered pasta. The fried pickles arrived 15 minutes later (yes we're timing now), still haven't received our drinks yet, now 30 minutes after we sat down. I couldn't find my waitress so I flagged down a gentleman and asked about the whereabouts of our cheese sticks, he came back 10 minutes later and said "they'll be here soon"....I'm questioning soon because I could've cooked these at home fast than this...mind you, there's still only one other couple in the restaurant. These cheese sticks arrived 10 minutes later, about 30 seconds before our main meal. Our meals hit the table and the pasta was fine, can't really screw those up. My wife didn't want to complain about the steak salad so she later asked for a to go box and threw it away when we got home. The steak was so chewy you couldn't even cut it. My filet that I asked for medium was well don, no pink at all and it was dried out. I just left half the steak and ate the lobster tail. We decided to order desert, I don't why after all this, maybe I was hoping they would redeem themselves. The gentleman brought our cheesecake over and only brought one spoon, he was gone so I basically had to get up and get more spoons. Now you would think you couldn't screw up cheesecake but they did, the strawberry sauce was like water and tasted bitter. The cheesecake was dry and tough to cut with a spoon. It's sad that this was our experience because we truly like to support local businesses but not like this. I didn't ask for a refund or for it to be cooked again because at this point, I was done with this place and just wanted to leave. The service was horrible for just two couples, hate to see what would happen on a busy night. We left at stopped at Burger King....way to ruin my birthday and christmas family dinner....won't be going back there again! read more

The steakhouse is about the only option in Discovery Bay if you want to have a decent steak or piece of prime rib and it's actually not bad. I've had the short ribs which are very tender as they should be with a nice reduction over mash...good meal.The prime rib is tasty as well...big piece(they don't skimp here) that's been cooked to perfection each time I've ordered it with a perfect au jus poured over and the usual suspects on the side...mash,spinach. The space is nice...very clean with modern decor and a bar area with bar height tables and chairs to eat and watch a game if you wish.Service has been great everytime we've been...drinks are refilled without much of a wait. Okay so I usually love the DB steakhouse. But I recommend dinning in and not DoorDash. Who ever puts the food together for the DoorDash does not read nor check to make sure it's correct. Items were missing. Didn't order this Buffalo chicken sandwich was awful. Chicken way under cooked and so messy and not put together correct. The wings were extremely over done (those I did order) I called to let them know this is not the first time. (Third) and the girl just said sorry we have a lot of door dash orders. I get that. But everyone should be able to read and make sure they have the correct items in the big. Very disappointed. This will be the last time I DoorDash from this restaurant. read more

Went for Lunch last week and again this week. The prime rib sandwich was so good my friend wanted to come back and have it again... First time we shared skins, and they needed salt. But the fried Brussels sprouts today were seasoned well, with an aoli dipping sauce. I also love the classic wedge salad, so I got that today and it was ok, the lettuce wasn't as cold as I prefer. The burger and fries was big and I should have cut it in half. Nope, it was so good and juicy...I ate the whole thing. Great bun and choose your cheese. Cost $16++ It is served dry with only Ketchup side. The fries are tasty, small shoestring. I don't have a complaint about the food...Definitely above average! It would be nice to add some new things to the menu. I ordered Iced tea both times. They give free refills on tea, friend ordered a Corona and she said it was good, very cold. They served it in a cold pint glass, poured with a lime slice garnish. Service was attentive and food came out within reason, 30-40 mins... I'm suggesting we go every week and have a "ladies who lunch" break in the week! They need new low table seating, those booths are seated too low and the table is really high...seems weird to mention, but the place is upscale and could really use a face lift or remodel. The high top seating looks newer, but with a back problem, I prefer table with booth comfort. If it were upgraded, Maybe I linger and have dessert or a chocolate/espresso Martini? You guys Steve from DB Steakhouse is amazing! I just door dashed some dinner for my kiddos (3 under 6). I wanted to shop small, so I decided the steak house was perfect. About 45 mins later I received a call/text from Steve stating something had gone wrong with my door dash delivery guy and that he would be bringing my order himself. 10 mins later he was at my door with our dinner and a complimentary bottle of wine! Apparently the door dash delivery guy was very sketch (drunk, blood on him etc). I want to say thank you to Steve he could have easily given our food to this man, and I fed it to my children who knows what could have happened but instead he went with his gut and I'm truly grateful! ... DB Steakhouse is a solid place to get great burgers and entrees. I also really enjoyed the steaks I have had there. For me, the real treat is the The PB JJ Burger! It is unreal! Who would have thought that peanut butter and meat would go so well together?! It JJ refers to Jalapeño Jam and it comes with ghost pepper cheese. But, it's not too spicy at all. If anything, the peanut butter gives it this nice sweetness. The bar side can be a little loud, but if you are into that, it's cool. If you want something more subdued, their dining room is fine. Good beers and cocktails. Probably one of the best restaurants near the delta. read more
