I actually like coming here to drink and grab a lil bite. The Jbox Tacos are decent and I do not care what the women wear hell if they didn't want to wear it they'd quit. I take issue with the actual service it self. The waitresses are uninterested and rude half the time. It takes forever for them to come to the table. When they do, they drop the menu and leave no greeting or anything. If you can find someone when you're ready to order they barely engage. Oh and once they drop your food at the table you better not need ANYTHING else because you won't see them again until you ask another waitress to find your waitress so you can pay!! We dig this place. We're usually the oldest patrons in there (we're 47) except for some old fellers that probably are daily regulars. So that's kind of a downside for us, but not a huge deal. It's a dive bar, but if you're into scantily clad servers, this is a place you want to check out. The staff are friendly enough, but not overly so...I mean it's a dive bar, so don't expect over the top service. The food, however, is really good. It's typical bar fare, but we've never had anything we didn't like. Good size portions and good prices. The drinks are cheap and strong, which is always a plus. I totally got a kick out of the menu (I wish I would've taken a bigger picture, sorry). The location is sketchy, but we're south city residents, so it doesn't bother us. If you're looking for a place to catch a game this is indeed a perfect spot. Started off with the tenders & two side salads. Let's get the elephant off the table right at the start. Yes the waitresses are fairly scantily clad (I'm not complaining). But whatever you think, look beyond that. It's not a strip club, it's a sports bar. I first heard about this place on the STL bar babes FB page and needing to be downtown I decided to check it out for dinner on a weeknight. I was extremely pleasantly surprised with the food. It wasn't just bar food, it was really quite good. I had the peppercorn burger and a side salad. All the ingredients were a level up and my meal was prepared by someone who knew what he/she was doing. The salad was huge and could have been a meal. Lettuce was fresh and dressing was great. The pepper-crusted burger was on a grilled artisan bun and topped with big strips of bacon and a excellent green pepper sauce. All the side garnishments were fresh and plentiful. The beer was cheap and cold. The service was actually quite attentive and there wasn't a lot of the attitude you sometime get with service at "sports bar" type places. I'll be back. read more

The service is the only problem and it's not the majority of the girls but when it's bad it's awful! We've been unfortunate enough to get the same absolutely terrible server the last 2 times. She greets you when you arrive just fine and brings your first round. After she gets your tab started under her name she pulls a f***ing Houdini. Drinks sit empty on the table and god forbid you want to order food because she won't be back for 30 minutes or more as she stands behind the bar (not bartending) talking to people who clearly chose to sit in someone else's section. We've walked out twice now after having other waitresses tell her to bring our tab and will not bother ordering a drink in the first place if this person comes to our table again. It's sad when you ask one of the other 6 waitresses for your tab and without skipping a beat they point directly at her and ask "was she your server?" She knows absolutely nothing about service. Ok so a few things about this place: the women are pretty good looking, most of them & they're half-naked, well, a few of them. The music is very loud and you don't get a choice in it: no jukebox. That's a negative for me, i like to play some of my own stuff at times. Also, for the kind of bar this is & the neighborhood it's in the drinks are far overpriced. For example a Miller Lite+Patron drink is like $15. That's insane. This is Soulard, not the CWE. The best thing about this place is they're open til 3am, the bartenders & servers are generally friendly & pretty good, & there's usually a decent crowd. I'd choose 101 over this in the future though in regards to prices and atmosphere, it's just not worth the cost here. It'd also help if they had a jukebox to play your own music... When I fly home to St. Louis, a bowl of wings from DB's is one of the first meals I want. OK, maybe second after mom's pork chops and potato salad. The one thing I've noticed that really separates DB's wings from others is the amount of breading on the wing. It's just perfect. And the sauce? If you like REALLY hot wings, then this place isn't for you. If you like a delicious combo of sweet and hot (I think they use a little mustard in the sauce) then these wings will knock your goddamn socks off. Ladies- you might be a little turned off by the atmosphere. It's definitely a sports bar, and the girls working there are probably on their last stop after getting fired from Hooters, but for the wings it's absolutely worth it. Since I love wings, I'd been told by numerous people I had to check out DB's for their wings. The other day I found myself on my own for dinner and with college football going on figured I'd search out some wings and a beer, and realized it was finally time to give them a try. Being relatively early on a Saturday evening the place was pretty slow. I sat at the bar and was waited on by a young lady wearing not a whole lot of anything. I ordered a Shock Top and began to watch the games on the various TVs behind the bar. After a couple minutes I inquired about ordering food and was informed that all they were serving was fried foods at the moment, seeing as wings are fried I was in business. While I finished up my Shock Top my wings arrived and I was eager to give them a shot. The wings were cooked perfectly and amply coated in sauce. They were good, but I didn't think they were great, so perhaps I'll have to come back and give them a second try and see if I can figure out what so many people were talking about when calling them great.
