This my first visit to DC Donut Cafe and I was not disappointed. They offer Donuts, Coffee, Smoothies, Soup, Breakfast as well as Lunch style sandwiches on your choice of a Bagel, Croissant, or Sliced Bread. I ordered the Egg and Cheese with Bacon, Ham And Sausage Breakfast Sandwich on a Cheddar Jalepeno Bagel and it was delicious! I also ordered a Maple Bar and a Chocolate Bar Donut which had a perfect consistency. The Customer Service was top notch and they were extremely nice and very pleasant people. The store is on the small side but they do have a couple tables and some chairs so you can enjoy you meal there. I definitely will be coming back to try some of the other items they offer. Always fresh always good. I adore the owner she's very sweet. Her sandwiches are amazing the croissants are fabulous. The Vietnamese coffee is a winner for sure. Our home is surrounded by doughnut shops. Most of Los Angeles is. Yet, we will drive the few extra minutes/miles to come to DC Donut. The staff is friendly (especially to my 3 young boys who know doughnuts for breakfast mean it's a special day) and happy to help out however needed. Even when my kids are unable to make up their mind they smile & wait patiently. The Doughnuts themselves are always delicious. They taste fresh and have both the perfect mix of chew and light fluff to them. They walk that fine line perfectly. I've tried many of their different styles and have never been disappointed. Spent the weekend in LA with some friends and we were just about to leave the valley and drive back to the Bay Area. I really didn't want any fast food, so we decided to make a quick stop. Found DC Donut Cafe on Yelp and saw pictures of these huge fluffy croissants. They are tucked in the corner of the 7-11 parking lot. Came in at the perfect time, a group just walked out and there was no line! Greeted by a very friendly woman (guessing she is the owner). Placed my order - she recommended to add avocado and that was a great addition. I watched as they cooked fresh eggs, warmed the bacon on the griddle and started to build the sandwich. Yes, the croissants are as large and fluffy as they look, but they also taste incredible. All the flaky layers of dough!!!!! Everything is so fresh here and everyone is also very friendly. This is not the same as the DC Donut Cafe in Reseda. The food, service, and ambiance are just not it here ...yet. Hopefully with time they can provide a similar experience. The variety in donut selection was minimal. The service was slow and they took my order wrong ...twice. The person in the register seemed like he was mad that he had to take my order. It wasn't busy at all so I am unsure why all the mistakes. After waiting for 20 minutes they realized they didn't give me the bagels I ordered. I asked for two drinks but they only charged me for one and when I asked for the second drink the lady making the drink and the man in the register got defensive and were upset about making the second drink. I spent 20 mins waiting for 2 bagels and 2 drinks. Perhaps they had a bad morning and the rush had just ended. I am not sure I just know I was excited to come in. Sorry, to say but this location is not serving up to the DC Donut name. Perhaps another time but for now I'll stick to the Reseda location. read more
