This donut shop is dangerously close to my home! Fortunately I have enough self control to only come here once in a while . This place has been here for many years! Today I decIded to treat myself after a good gym session! For a second I thought it was national donut day lol because the line was literally out the door . TurnsIt was just a busy sunday at yum yum! I love that they keep all donuts fully stocked and as busy as it gets the service is prompt and they are so nice at this location! Which is why I keep coming back!! My favorite donut... old fashioned with glaze, but really I love all donuts, who am I kidding!

    Health Specialist Email

Went in the other day to get a donut and there was a mouse under the donut display. Employees did not seem to care. Health Inspector was sent and they found rodent activity at this location, and this location should be closed for a minimum of 48 hours but continued to be open.

    Rotten cheesecake

Let me tell you I can't believe how low this place has gotten. It use to be the spot for breakfast and donuts. Not anymore they sold us rotten cheesecake! I went to return this and they offered me donuts once I asked for the donuts multiple flies were on the donuts. Never again will I come here. I will be contacting the health department as soon as possible.

So I asked for crewman cheese croissant and the girl started to prepare it when I told her "no a cream cheese croissant " she said "I have to prepare it, stringed they should be made ! I have been getting cream cheese croissants for more than 20 years. So I get home and this girl put actual cream cheese on the croissant. Has no one taught her that's not how cream cheese croissants are ? They are suppose to be sweet . Your job is not that hard hun please play attention.

this dude should be fired for his shitty service

I came when it was not busy and got my drink in under two minutes. However, the person sitting next to me (with the cutest doggie! They're dog friendly, I think ) waited longer than 10 minutes for her drink. However, this was during a rush and when it was probably the busiest in the morning (?) AMBIANCE AND ENVIRONMENT: The music volume was pretty good. It was low level when the place got busy due to people chatting, machines, ice scooping etc., but when it wasn't so busy, the level was about medium due to the atmosphere being more quiet. The vibes were Mumford and sons, Oasis, Of Monsters and Men, the Head and the Heart, and some classical sprinkled here and there. It is smaller than a chain, but cozy with quite a few seats and table options. I think they did a great job at making the best of the space. The space also encourages community as half of the seating options are shared/shareable. All within an arms reach, which in my personal opinion, is plenty of space. Because of this, it encourages you to acknowledge your fellow human being sitting across, or beside you. The environment was clean, bright, and comfortable. The environment feedback I woukd give is perhaps a stronger sun shade in the windows that the bar and stools face. I first sat here but within minutes decide to move because the heat was a bit too much for me. Again! A personal preference. Coffee shops can also naturally get warm due to the energy being used for the machines and refrigerators, so something to consider. The air-conditioning kicked in a little later which helped make it more comfortable. Another thing I noticed is the outlet near the corner table and lounge chairs has a an outlet extender plugged into the wall outlet, but the wall outlet is extremely loose with no faceplate. This can cause electric shock, wiring damage and possible fires. I know from personal experience. It's a real easy and cheap fix that I highlyyy recommend they do ASAP. Just trying to be helpful because I really, really like this spot. FOOD AND DRINKS: I ordered a Hibiscus Berry Blend, as is, iced. It was $5.00 even. It is served in a14 Oz. cup. With ice, it's probably about 12-13 Oz. of drink you're getting. I think it was worth it. The flavor was equal and very nice. Not too fruity, not too watery. It wasn't sweet, due to me not asking for any additional sweetener. As I sat and worked, I heard a lot of other orders and some were very creative. So they do have all those fun drinks people love to indulge in occasionally. They also have classic drip coffee and loose leaf tea. THE REASON WHY I TRIED INICIO: The biggest thing I noticed, being an activist myself involved in many efforts for social justice through my work and personal life, was their mission to erase modern day slavery. Human trafficking is a horrible thing that unfortunately is haooening right before out very eyes. They donate a portion of all food, drink, and catering sales to Justice 180. That is honestly, the reason why I came. I would love to partner with them and invite them to come cater at my center. I plan to spread the word about this place and continue to support them.

San Fernando is a narrow 2 way street but there is parking available. We found a metered spot and put money in for an hour. You have to pay everyday except Sundays. The inside was cute and busy. There are tables and a bar area to sit at. You place your order at the counter and they give you a number so they can bring your order to you. Staff was friendly, they gave us a few min to go over the menu and answered any questions we had. The menu had drinks, small bites and sandwitches. Drinks also came out quickly, although we did have to wait longer for the food items. My matcha that I ordered was really good, it was off the seasonal menu. It was a peach basil matcha, very creative combination and the basil was not overpowering at all. I also got an avocado toast with egg and that item was a little underwhelming. The egg was cold and the avocado needed a little more flavor. However, overall good experience.

I had to order an additional shot of espresso to add to it in order to feel a boost. The drink may have been too sweet, but the espresso evened it out. The drink costs 5 bucks, and adding a shot costs 3, so I spent 8 dollars on a drink here just to fix it. However, that was a small hiccup; the coffee shop was nice and small and very cozy. Felt family-friendly, it is next to the restaurant, which is owned by the same owner. They have little games on their counter you can play while you wait, which is what my kids did. Kept them entertained while they waited for my coffee and my shot. The staff was very friendly and nice, and there are a lot of inspirational quotes all over the waiting area. Parking here does suck, but there's plenty of street parking if needed. I probably would not go out of my way to come to this location, but if I'm close by at the local parks, then I would come here and try some specialty drinks. It seems like they got plenty. Overall a great place, small drink hiccup, but I can always stick to my usual americanos.

As I waited for her to arrive from work on a blistering hot afternoon, I parked outside and watched a continuous flow of people coming in and out of the doors, taking lots of homemade goodies with them. Once my girl arrived, we walked inside and got a sense of what people were experiencing. A small establishment, with about a half dozen counter seats, you are immediately in front of a several large glass doors of fresh Mexican pastry, with several other fresh racks waiting to be stored. There are so many options to choose from, with prices ranging from 50 cents to $1.50. We decided to first order what we came for, which was the Carne Asada Torta. We spoke with the friendly gentleman at the counter who walked us through what was on the sandwiches, as well as how to grab some tongs and a plastic tray to snag some delicious treats for after lunch. While waiting for our sandwiches, my girlfriend and I grabbed several pastries and cookies for dessert. The restaurant was buzzing non-stop this Friday afternoon, with people of all ages coming in to load up on goodies for the day, and possibly the weekend. Within 10 minutes, our sandwiches were brought out to us. They looked amazing! I decided to keep all of the ingredients in tact: Carne Asada, Beans, Chili, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayonnaise, Avocado, Cheese. The bread was delicious: soft, fresh and a perfect vehicle to hold in all of the delicious ingredients. The asada is the star here. Absolutely tender, seasoned to perfection. The cheese is also top notch, with the other ingredients adding tons of flavor in each packed bite. Priced at just under $10 each, there aren't many options that compare in taste and value around. As for the pastries, my girlfriend and I shared a few cookies and pan dulce shortbreads in the car. Freshly baked, crumbling to the touch, these goodies were delicious and simple. Not too sweet, and great versions of traditional Mexican delights. The energy at this Sylmar restaurant is fast-paced, friendly and outstandingly delicious. Parking is good as there are several spots available in this strip-mall layout. No bathrooms as it is primarily a grab-and-go establishment. I'll be back to see what other affordable, homemade pastries are available to complement the next time I am craving a Carne Asada Torta from El Milagro. Check them out!

It's located toward the back of the Sylmar Square plaza, tucked away like a little hidden gem. The shop itself is pretty small compared to other boba spots, so seating is limited, but I actually like the size of it. It feels cozy and relaxing ...like a nice little place to escape without dealing with huge crowds. They do have outdoor seating as well, but that's also limited. Inside, they have comfortable sofas, a booth with high chairs, a decent-sized coffee table, and board games, so it's a great spot for a casual date or to hang out with friends. The only two downsides are that there's no public restroom (i make sure my bladder is empty before coming to the store) and no working AC. I'm not sure what the ongoing issue has been with the air conditioner, but in all the years I've been coming here, the only things keeping the place cool are a few fans. So on hot summer days, it can get difficult to hang out inside. Unless you're like me and don't mind the heat ( I've lived in Florida and Puerto Rico, so I'm used to humidity ) just keep that in mind. They have a pretty good drink menu, though they don't serve food. My personal favorite drink is the jasmine milk tea, pot plant style, which comes with a layer of whipped cream and crushed chocolate cookie crumbs on top. The serving is also huge, which I appreciate because I love a drink that isn't served like prison rations. The staff has always been warm and professional. When I stopped by today, the cashier was especially kind and attentive, which meant a lot because I had my infant son with me. He made sure I was seated comfortably, helped make sure the stroller was parked close to me, and went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my drink. He even asked me to let him know if I needed any adjustments. I didn't catch his name, but he was an older gentleman and clearly cares about giving customers an excellent experience. Parking has never been an issue for me here, though I usually come on weekdays. Thankfully, you don't have to worry about limited parking or paying for parking like you do in many parts of Los Angeles. Overall, TeaN'Me is still a solid 5/5 for me.
