This is by far one of my favorite donut spots in the Sylmar area. Donuts are always fresh and donut holes are always fresh unlike other donut shops who sell days old donuts. My favorite thing to order from here is the ham egg and cheese croissant (sometimes i op for the spinach and cheese bagel). You gotta try it! One thing i would like to add and hope the owner reads is for years I've had no issues making phone orders. I believe since new ownership took over in March of 2020, when i call in for orders it's very inconsistent and a lot of the times no one answers. This donut shop is dangerously close to my home! Fortunately I have enough self control to only come here once in a while . This place has been here for many years! I've waited so long to leave this review I went back several times, hoping that the customer service I received was only a one time incident but after time and time again, the same guy very rude to every single customer coming into his business. He seems like he is not happy, either with his life or working at this job, he shouldn't be working here giving this business bad reputation for the worst customer service. Walked in Feb 23 My son wanted a sip of the juice. The juice didn't taste good. The exp date was 02/21 My husband opened the other juice to compare the taste ( exp date of 02/28) it taste WORST! Service here definitely depends on who is working cause from my few visits I've witnessed two opposite types of service, one where the staff member was happy to help and another where you could tell he hated his job. Prices are about average compared to their competitors, but taste wise, sorry but I'll have to go with other ma/pa locations. Don't get my wrong, Yum Yum isn't bad, but if I were to choose between the two, I'd take my business else where. I've come here a few times. The donuts are okay, given the price. Some days, there are issues, like the donuts don't have the chocolate evenly distributed. Today, the Bavarian cream donut [or custard donut, as I was snappishly corrected by the associate, when I pointed at it] only had a little custard, which i finally tasted on the last bite. My main complaint is the customer service. Ive given it the benefit of the doubt, but the last three times, I've had to deal with an associate who seems impatient, grouchy, and just rude.
