Oiled cuticles to cover the mistakes the manicurist made
    Rai A.

For $30, take your service to a better shop. I visited this shop many times last fall/winter. The service was so spectacular that I drove to this shop, living an hour away. However, my recent, AND LAST visit I was not given the respect that customers should be given. I got SNS application and the person applying it set the sns over my cuticles instead of just on the nail. When the application was set, I went to the desk and let them know I was not happy due to how bad the application looked. The guy at the desk put some oil on my fingers and said "it looks nice now." I feel that I shouldn't have to cover up my poorly manicured nails with oil. The next day after still being unhappy with my nails, I called the shop and they told me to gone get my nails fixed. I asked if I could get gel instead, she claimed she would fix the sns...but the "fixing" is hardly noticeable. My sns is as thick as acrylic and not as natural as acrylic. You can get better business elsewhere.

I loved my nails today. I've been here several times and it has been a hit more than miss overall…read more I cleared my morning at work to come here. It's a little out of the way, but I needed my nails done right. I had a guy technician today, and every time I have a guy, it's fast and I like my nails. I just had my nails done not even 10 days ago at the shop by Publix on E. Atlanta road, and I was right back the next day with a cracked SNS nail. She jigga- rigged it and the day after that, it broke and caused my real nail to split and I had to pry it off, and wait for it to heal a bit so I could get them redone, and the rest of them kept snagging people's hair. I don't have time for that type of nonsense because I need my nails for work. My clients have become so accustomed to getting a shampoo with my nails until I consider them a necessary business expense. I have been getting faulty nail services a lot lately, and having to go right back for repairs the next day after spending $80. There was once a time when one Asian nail shop was as good as the next, but now you have to be as picky about your nail tech as you are about your hairstylist. One day I'm going to find and train some good nail techs and add nail services to my salon. In the meantime, hopefully I can keep getting what I want at Lush or else I'll be driving out to Lithonia.

Business owner (woman) extremely negligent. Came in to have my acrylics removed and get a manicure…read more Rather than soaking, lady started yanking off the acrylics, carelessly, and negligently. Cracker my nail completely down the middle, and when she saw the blood she quickly left to the register and sent one of her employees to now offer to soak off my nails -- trying to avoid me. Def avoid this place! Not to mention that they still charged me for the service!

Was in the neighborhood at a seafood bar and dropped in afterwards for a basic pedicure. It was $29…read moreand after the tip it came up to $33. I was able to get the service started upon entry as they weren't very busy at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. The lady that did my pedicure (Vicky) was very gentle while exfoliating my feet. I don't have hard callouses or rough feet and I appreciate when they are gentle with their tools. I was offered wine and water. I chose the water because I'd had a Long Island Ice Tea at the restaurant so I didn't need more alcohol. I was very impressed when I checked out and saw their liquor license posted. They are 31 miles from my house so no idea when I'll return but I would if I was in the area.

Yesterday was my first and last visit. They advertise themselves as friendly, helpful and luxury…read morebut that is deceptive. I spent two hours in their "luxury establishment". The staff were unprofessional, unsanitary, lack integrity and used the language barrier to avoid taking responsibility for mistakes. I came in based on a referral expecting a positive experience. I asked for orange French tips with designs AND the flower designs one each big toe like in the picture below, and was told someone could do it after the older man who clearly couldn't do it started the pedicure. Instead, the gentleman polished my toes solid orange and laughed when I reminded him of the design ( French tip + toe designs) prior to him finishing up, and said " no design for you haha" finished polishing and walked away. The tech doing my fill‑in told me someone else would fix it, and do the toe designs so I waited. After an additional 30 minutes my fill in was completed, and she handed me my shoes and told me to pay. I washed my hands, and went to front. Was told by the manager, Yan, that I didn't have top coat AND no one was available to do the design at all. So another male tech rushed and did a top coat. While seated I expressed my concerns about the solid orange not being what I wanted. Yan was confused and consulted multiple times with another tech. Then redirected me to check out while he repeatedly told me they took the charge off for toe designs. And couldn't reduce the price. He seemed confused about the situation, and the police were eventually called. Ana stepped in and made it seem as though I wanted something for free, which was upsetting because I simply wanted the service I requested. She stated that the tech who did my toes deserved to be paid, which was valid but not at my expense for their lack of communication and execution. Ana only wanted to discount the $29 pedicure by 10% ($2.90) and told me I was "only upset because I didn't like it, lied to the police and said that the 10% was the best she could do," even though I was upset because I asked for a specific service, had been there for two hours, and they didn't do what they promised. After going back and forth with me and the police, Ana ( who is not the manager ) agreed to reduce the price from $44 to $24 and I paid. I also noticed unsanitary practices, including reused tools, no handwashing between clients, and improper disinfection of equipment. Leo, who had nothing to do with the situation, stood there making faces at me, which was unnecessary and unprofessional. The nail tech who did my fill‑in did a good job, despite a few questionable unsanitary moments. As a customer, I waited patiently, communicated clearly, was never given honest communication, and never received an apology for the time wasted and treatment as though I was a scammer. I left feeling disappointed and scammed. Because if they had been honest upfront about all of the techs allegedly having appointments and being unable to do nail designs I could've got what I wanted somewhere else. People continued to come into the shop and they kept sending people to the back for pedicures without properly sanitizing the bowls or disclosing that no one can do designs, which is why I felt like they were being dishonest and deceptive. I completely understand they have to profit but it's at the community they serve's expense which is wrong. And yes my feet are ashy in the picture below because the service was not completed in its entirety, no massage and no lotion was added. Only the orange and a rushed topcoat by another man after they informed me no one could do what I asked for. This was my vacation/birthday set, so I am extremely disappointed. ** Each name mentioned was the name the person provided me while checking out. My final total was $168.51 for two pedicures and a fill in.
