    Lamb/Chicken platter

Decided to try this place out after I saw the high reviews. It is alright. There are many halal platter places in the DMV that I would much rather have than this. The meat did taste good and the ingredients seemed fresh, just wasn't as flavorful as expected.

We've had our eye on this spot for a while, and we finally got the chance to try it. The chicken bowl was pretty good, though a bit dry. I'd definitely recommend asking for extra sauce, but overall, it was delicious! The empanadas were the highlight--they were amazing, especially with the green sauce.

This is in the old spot of one of my favorite restaurants that moved out of Georgetown and I wanted to give them a try. On the menu, the choripan caught my eye. It's not offered in many restaurants in DC and I had it only once before. The friendly staff also recommended the sandwich to me as well as the empanada. I ordered both and they kindly let me know that the choripan takes five to six minutes to make. The sandwich may not look big, but it was filling considering how hungry I was after walking home with it! The chimichurri sauce inside was delicious. Along with the beef empanada it was a big enough big meal for me. The menu items range from breakfast to lunch/dinner. It's a mix of American and South American items. I would love to see more of the latter. The restaurant is small with a few seats inside and outside. It's a good place for takeout and one of the more affordable options in Georgetown.

We had a great experience here! I was craving empanadas after walking around a park nearby and saw this place that I had not seen before. SO glad we decided to pop in. I got my chicken and beef empanadas, and my partner got his chicken bowl. Both delicious. I actually REALLY love how they do their chicken bowl with a yummy fresh tomatoey topping. Good pricing. The service was also friendly, warm, and welcoming. We will for sure be back. I want to try a lot more stuff on their menu!

Best Dilla of my life. You need to try the empanadas too. They are so good. So friendly and kind too.

This place is a cute, small cafe-like place. It has a few seats at a bar seating area. Ordered food to-go. The man at the register was very nice and gave good suggestions. Ended up ordering a beef empanada, chicken empanada, and choripan sandwich. Empanadas had a lot of meat in them and the chimichurri it came with was good. Choripan sandwich was tasty with the chorizo chimichurri in a ciabatta roll. The ciabatta was soft on the inside and had a good crust.

Love this neighborhood gem in Georgetown off of Wisconsin Ave. They have a fusion of South American and Middle Eastern dishes all for very reasonable prices. The delicious aroma of the dishes hits you as soon as you walk into the small shop. It is a cute little store with just a few stools. We've ordered the choripan, lamb and rice bowl and chicken bowls a few times and keep coming back when we want tasty take out. It's all freshly made and not just a hot bar set up. The empanadas are also a nice treat for dessert. They are open for lunch and until early evening so we often pick up takeout for dinner. Love having a local family business to support since so many NYC chains have come into DC. Highly recommend!

Sit outside and enjoy the fall colors. The empanadas are excellent and the lamb and chicken bowls are flavorful and satisfying.

They have a wide variety of flavors and the dough is soft and the edges a bit on the crispy side. Their rotating vegetarian option is also vegan. I think the week I went was a miss, it was bean and something crunchy. Missing flavor, but the salsa really helped it. Everyone who got a meat option said it was really good. They loved everything that they got. Next time I would better check their vegan option, but it is nice that they always have one ready for you. Service Came here on a Thursday mid-day and needed to grab food for a customer. The woman working was so sweet and happy to assist with me getting nearly two dozen empanadas and giving a nice variety. She labeled each one and gave me salsas and napkins. Ambiance A hole in the wall for sure. There is nowhere for you to sit, but these are portable little triangles so easy to walk down 18th or Columbia. On a nice day I would take these to the park.

After taking one look at the specials board, I knew the vegetarian empanada was the option for me. This empanada was vegan as well. Of course, plenty of meaty options or vegetarian with cheese options are also available. The lady who rang up my order was super nice, and I told her I was excited to get an empanada since we do not have that many empanada spots back home. My empanada was packaged really well. It would be perfect to eat on the go, and it was warm throughout. Even after walking 1/3 of a mile back to my hotel and getting to the room, it was still warm. The empanadas are a large portion for the price, and one was enough for me for lunch. They do have catering options and smaller empanadas that you can order in advance for a crowd.

The restaurant is super cute, with a fun cafe vibe, and it's an easy walk from the waterfront. We ordered the Colada Trio, which came with empanadas, cauliflower sliders, and yuca fries. Everything was delicious, and it came with three different sauces that were honestly all so good. I could've eaten those sauces with everything. We also ordered the Platanachos (plantain nachos), which were flavorful and such a fun twist on traditional nachos. They accidentally forgot the cauliflower and mushroom topping, but as soon as I mentioned it, they brought it out right away along with extra sauce. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a place handles them, and they were incredibly accommodating, which I really appreciated. It was pretty busy when we visited, and I noticed who I believe was the manager or owner helping clean tables and checking on guests. I always love seeing that kind of hands-on involvement.
