Don't think size here think quality. They nailed it! Their muffuletta tastes like the ones at Central Grocery or Katie's in New Orleans with 2 minor exceptions. The olive salad is chunkier but love that I can see and crunch on all that spicy veggie goodness. And yes it's much smaller y'all cause that's just the way it is outside of NOLA. But for my money this is a solid muff with the fresh sesame seed bread and the meats and cheese piled high. Ate one half room temp and heated the other in a pan recommended by a guy at Central Grocery (my fav). So what if you don't get to make several meals out of this littler version. Small note: the owner/manager was complaining about his rising costs the whole time, while taking deliveries right in the middle of the lunch rush which led to customers being asked to wait outside. He was also correcting the staff in front of customers. There may be better ways and times to address these issues to not make your business problems your customers' problems. Just a really really solid sandwich. The bread (which they get fresh daily from a bakery) is incredible, 15/10. Lots of sandwich options, including byo and like 4 or so veggie options (and not the standard mozz, tomato, basil) which is awesome and not super common for Italian sub shops. Inside of the market is very small and cute. They have a great selection of drinks and a lot of cooll organic options. The people working at the deli were very nice and had a lot of sandwich options. Although İ live a block from here, it was my first time visiting the store. Me and my friend were welcomed immediately by the cook and the cashier (and owner, İ assume), who were very friendly. We were very indecisive and in between of different sandwiches but they were happy to suggest us some of their signature sandwiches. We ended up getting their daily signature prosciutto sandwich with fresh basil, mozerella and tomato as well as reuben sandwich. Both ended up great: the bread was cruncy and fresh, ingredients were tasety. Prosciutto sandwich couldve used a little salt, if İ have to find something. Really nice little market, everything is priced well and there are some unique finds. In the fridge is some amazing habanero infused cheese that I can't get enough of. What a great place! Oftentimes, taking my dog out for a long walk and not wanting to cook, I stop there and feed us both. For humanoids, their sandwiches are outstanding. Particularly their roast beef is very lean and tasty, and the variety of bread is enough to suffice a discriminating palate. For the furry companion, their natural snacks are superb and healthy. They have a sweet potato stick wrapped with chicken snack that my pup Thunder literally swallows. We both get to view the traffic on 18th St as we eat on their little marble tables. On other occasions I ordered the #2 Deborah's Special (sundried tomato, pesto, artichokes, fresh mozzarella) and the #6 Feta, Tomato, Onion, and Sprouts. I love this place. It's been about a month since I moved to the neighborhood, and Dupont Market is everything you could possibly want from your bodega downstairs. They sell a tuna salad that's to die for. Normally I'd be embarrassed to say that I bought a pre-made tuna salad rather than making it myself, but it's good. They'll whip you up an egg-and-sausage sandwich in the evening, or a muffaletta in the morning.
