I would give zero stars if I could. Customer service is not efficient at all, they pretend to be nice. I came in to return an item with the original receipt. Because my item did not have the sticky tag, the manager refused to return it. I went online to google the description that came with the item on the receipt and the exact same item came up. I did not bring in something that I did not purchase. It's very unfortunate that she refused to help me and I still cannot believe it. I am never going back to say the least. I always find such great buys here. They have lots of cool things; candles, shoes, pants, blankets, pillows, etc. I would like for them to expand the aisles so that the little cart can fit, without me having to ram through clothes. The customer service is always great from the cashiers, and other DD's workers. My only complaint is that the male security guards need to conduct themselves in a professional matter. I don't appreciate security guards flirting with me, following me, watching me, and making me feel uncomfortable. I go to shop not to be uncomfortable or to be hit on. read more

This place has great finds at great prices, I can deal with the place being a mess, or long lines but I cannot deal with the rude service. I guess their location makes them believe everyone walks in there to steal and we're all treated as suspects. Great store, lousy employees. My latest experience was today. Everything was good until checkout. The sales person checked us out and told us that they only had trash bags and not regular bags. So, they overloaded the bags. Then, as we left, the monitor at the door went off so the loss prevention idiot, who was standing near as we checked out, had to check the bags that the checker just rang up. I found this store by accident. I was out looking for some Cal King Sheets I couldnt find them anywhere in Hemet. I went in to the store thinking I doubt I will find them here but what the heck I went straight back to the bedding department and looked and the sheets and I couldnt believe it there there were several sets of Cal King Sheets for a great price of 13.99 to 14.99 I bought Four Sets that day. Walked in with my drink in hand today and just so happened to be reading the hours of operation as I walked into the store. I walked in the door, and the the lady at the register was very nice and welcoming, and then the security guy was like "oh I know you just read that sign, no drinks allowed" very rude and short with me. Turned around and walked right back out. Won't be returning to this store. There was no reason for him to say it like that he could have politely said I'm sorry ma'am we don't allow outside drinks in the store. I love discount stores but won't come back to this one for several reasons: (1) The parking lot feels unsafe. Everytime I've come to this location there are homeless folks, crackheads and vagrants yelling at each other, digging through the trash, sleeping, or just loitering around right outside the entrance. There is security inside the store but not outside because DD's only cares about the security of their property and not the security of their customers; (2) no drinks allowed in the store. This is a big one for me because, 9 times out of 10, I have a drink with me that I want to enjoy while shopping. I can't think of any other local stores (including discount stores, which there are a lot of in Hemet) that forbid customers coming in with a Starbucks in hand; (3) no restrooms for the public. If I'm going to be shopping for a few hours, I just might have to tinkle. Holding it when you have to go is uncomfortable, and I don't want to be physically uncomfortable while spending my hard earned money; (4) security and employees watch you like a hawk as if you are a thief. As I browse around, I can feel eyes piercing through me, scouring me to see what I'm going to steal. Not an experience I want as a customer; (5) most products sold at DD's are cheaply made, have defects, or are not sized as marked. Of the 30 or so clothing items I have purchased here over the years, most have been a size or two outside of the size specified on the tag. Also, most of the clothes I've purchased here get pilling and become very threadbare after just a few washes; (6) even with receipt, they do not allow refunds! This is a biggie, considering how low-quality the merchandise here is. So if you make a cash purchase and the item breaks upon opening or is defective (which there is a high chance that it will!), you will be given store credit which will force you to get another cheaply made product in their store and wait for it to break soon. Marshalls, Ross, Burlington, even Salvation Army feel safer and are more customer friendly than DD's and their prices are just as good or better! read more

I love dds! My experience with other shoppers not so pleased, the children's parents let there kids run wild not giving a care in the world were there going, there running around and knocking all the clothes down in the clothing racks, and the parents just let them do it, the poor worker was picking up after them, and the parents just watching her, and that's not the worst, I was in line and a lady cut in front of me, and the girl cashier noticed and told her I was next, and she started yelling at her, but she keeped it professional, but if that was me I would have smacked that lady in her mouth, but other then shopping around others, dds is my first stop to shop, everyone is kind and friendly and always will stop to help. Today June 13 2019 I visited dd's discount store located on 1711 W Florida Ave, Hemet, CA 92545 when I first walked in with my husband and babies to shop around my son wanted to open a little toy with little gummys in it so the manager followed us around with a attitude and told us that we can not open anything before buying it and we respected that and apologized and told her that we're going to buy it even though she was really rude and then she followed us around and was giving us an attitude telling us not to drop gummys on the floor and pushed our cart to pass through. It was very uncomfortable and we didn't want to shop around anymore and when we decided to cash our items my husband wanted to see a manager and the cashier told him that she was the manager and he asked for someone higher than her, the manager was behind the cashier and when she heard my husband talking to the cashier she turned around and said " no one is higher that me" and that she has the right to not help us than my husband asked to pay for the toy that my son opened and she refused to help us and started yelling at us so my husband got really upset and he started to return everything that we wanted to buy and spilled the candy all over the counter and than she pulled her phone out and followed us outside to take video of us. It breaks my heart to be treated this way because my whole family always shops at dd's since this store opened in Hemet and we always loved the way we used to be treated and we felt very comfortable to shop around. Super shady workers/customers service. My mother, father, and aunt (all three elder) went in yesterday bought 5 items and when they got home realized they were missing one (some gray joggers) so my mom who can't read receipts came to me to ask if they had charged her for them. I saw they did and even circled it for her. So later in the day she calls me and tells me my dad took her to go ask for her pants and they literally lied to her face and said that they had not put pants in bag because there was no tag price for it and had not charged her for it!! When I literally circled it with a pen on receipt!! And to make matters worst and this is why I say they are shady, they not only did charged and said they didn't, they didn't give her pants, didn't refund money because they denied charging it even though she had proof, they kept receipt!!!! So how in the world am I supposed to go and help her now!!! They literally took advantage of elder because she didn't not know how to stand up for her self. So upsetting Horrible people!!! read more

Clothes is everywhere, shoes are all over the floor and people in general are disgusting. They always have the longest line to pay. I'm not to sure if it's due to the type of customers they have that keep the store dirty, but people really need to throw their trash in the cans and hang the clothes back on the tacks instead of throwing it on the floor. read more
