This is one of my top go to places! I have never been disappointed coming here. They have yummy drinks and such delicious food. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Order the cow boy ribeye (it comes on a sizzling platter with butter and rosemary on top), risotto, field greens salad, and their gaucho bread! We have been to de Fuego several times and have been continually impressed. Recently we decided to shake up our one pot cooking quarantine routine and get some take out. We definitely over ordered with the idea that we would live off the leftovers, but holy WOW, we did not expect the quality or quantity of food we received. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. We are definitely coming back to get more meaty comfort to make staying at home a little more enjoyable. The mac and cheese, Argentinian asado, and shrimp ceviche are favorites. read more

Wow. Came here for happy hour before the covid and wasn't too impressed, but tonight we got a private room and a table for two! What a wonderful idea using the hotel rooms for dining. The food was so flavorful and the portions were good size. After being stuck at home eating take out or home cooked meals this was like being on vacation. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself! The luau events are a fraud. Advertised as a live performance, buffet and drinks. I have experienced a luau in Maui and it was beautiful with live performances and an open bar included. They charge you extra for the cocktails you order and they only provide a dj no live performance as advertised on the website. Have heard about this place before quarantine. Went to a late lunch with a friend, and we had a great time. The restaurant and bar are beautiful and new. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered the Houston Burger on lunch menu, it was delicious. They do have gluten free available. My friend got one of the sandwiches, can't remember which one, but she enjoyed hers as well. A huge thanks for Ed for accommodating me and my pregnant wife. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We needed indoor seating and thought we would need to sit outside (usually fantastic, but not when as pregnant as my wife was). Ed saw our situation and took excellent care of us, getting a table cleaned off and making us very comfortable. We ordered dinner thru Grubhub....the meal was excellent and the order arrived on time and we were notified of it's arrival. Back to the food; we ordered Peruvian chicken, Argentina beef dip and mushroom risotto. The chicken was absolutely wonderful..very tender and moist and the sauce was sweet/salt/tart, served with a saute of onions, peppers etc. The risotto was tender and very flavorful. The beef dip was excellent, as well..the 'dip' was a little salty, but wasn't even needed as the beef in the sandwich was moist. The food was still hot/warm when it arrived....very unusual. Happy Valley only has crappy chain restaurants, and most of the restaurants on Grubhubs list, are chains, so this was a surprise and we will visit this restaurant as soon as it re-opens and in the meantime, we'll order from Grubhub! read more

This place is such a pleasant surprise! We went to the Underground, which is their 21 and over "speakeasy". Live music and a fun vibe. The food was really good! This restaurant is a hidden gem in an okay hotel (we had previously stayed at the hotel for a night and were not impressed). When my friend's husband suggested this restaurant I was hesitant based on our hotel experience, however I'm so glad we gave the restaurant a chance. We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday here last Monday and everything was impeccable (the ambience, food, and service) from start to finish. A couple of us were vegan and the owner (I forget his name now, but I think it was Bill) created a special menu for us. I ordered the Loma Saltado and my friend (who isn't even vegan) ordered the risotto which was to die for! Although the items on the vegan menu were not on the main menu, he said they could always make it again if we ask (and once the Covid freeze is over). Our waitress Alyssa was extremely attentive. I could go on and on about our experience. We will definitely be back once they open up again. read more

I really love this place, the foods great and as well as the service, i went here for my birthday last year. However this time around the experience was just out of place and i felt kind of embarrassed to be here. We went to eat here on a Saturday evening so of course it was going to be busy and full. We called ahead to see if there were any open available tables and we got a yes over the phone! However once we got there we indeed got seated quick... but it was in the middle of the lobby... right next to the hostess check in desk... not even 3 feet away from them i could hear the waitresses talking and gossiping. I get it everyone gossips and talks its normal, but we are not even 3ft from you trying to enjoy dinner lol. They didnt have real chairs for us, just hotel lobby couch chairs, the table was 2 COFFEE tables put together and they were low to the ground, couldnt scooch my chair in to eat comfortably and my posture was just bad the whole time from having to reach out to able to eat from my plate. There were other people seated in the lobby too but from past experiences, being seated in the actual restaurant makes your experience better. Keep in mind that this is a restaurant inside of a hotel as well. We are 3ft from the restaurant check in desk, and behind us is the hotel check in desk, people walking back and forth and just witnessing all this. I know people would complain either way, no seats, or seats in the lobby. But personally, i would rather wait 2 hours for a seat inside the restaurant than to be seated out here in front of everyone. Of course this wont stop me from coming back but just wanted to put my input in, dont seat your guests in the lobby!! Also dont know the waitress' name in the ombre red/magenta hair but she does seem to have some sort of entitlement and attitude and that was just from observation, we didnt get her as a host but she was also one of the waitresses behind the desk gossiping. read more

Went for brunch. A bit of a let down overall. They don't appear to be following COVID protocol well as all of the seats at our table had crumbs and hair left behind. This review is only for happy hour, so there may be other reviews for dinner in the dining room that are higher rated. I was very disappointed with happy hour at de Fuego. There was only one drink under $10, besides their wines on tap. My table had the pork belly tacos, the shrimp ceviche and the Caesar salad. The food looked pretty good except the ceviche. That looked a bit odd with the shrimp curled. The descriptions of menu items lacked some important details about ingredients used (e.g. I did not know the pork belly tacos had cilantro and the ceviche was served with flour tortilla chips, when it was supposed to be root chips). Items are WAY overpriced in general, especially for happy hour! I was seated for 30 min. and only had my drink order taken. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to order any happy hour food because 6pm was approaching and I wasn't sure when I would see my waitress again. My "Moms Happy" drink did NOT make me happy! It was tiny. That was extremely disappointing. Because I have a wheat sensitivity, I had to request corn chips with my ceviche. They had to make them from scratch, so my ceviche sat at the table for an extra 10 minutes before I could eat it. Unfortunately I won't be back. I wanted this local spot with its changes to be good. Sadly I would much rather go across the street to Claim Jumpers and spend half the amount for just as much food and a full size drink! read more
