For this latest refrigerator repair I had to call on him for a refrigerator that wasn't getting cold. He quickly came out, identified that the fan wasn't working and ordered a new one. He installed the new fan and unfortunately the refrigerator still wasn't getting as cold as needed, he immediately came back out 2 additional times and made assessments and fixes, on the 3rd time he discovered that the new fan that he was sent was directive, so he ordered a new one and came, as soon as it was received, on a Sunday, and installed it. Now it's working perfectly and all the additional visits and repairs were included under his great warranty. I really appreciate David, he's great to work with and seems to know everything about every kind of appliances, and doesn't give up until he gets your appliance running like new. After spending more than $1500 on this crappy microwave, I vowed not to use the Sharp repair program ($300-400) or any Sharp affiliated appliance repair companies. However, I could not find any replacement built-in microwaves of the same size. Through many months of phone calls and emails, I was finally able to receive the replacement part (magnetron) covered under the 5-year magnetron warranty. Labor was not included in this parts warranty. I called a few appliance repair companies. One said they do not service microwave. Then, I was able to schedule with Urban and Denis gave me a verbal quote over the phone ($275). I usually price compare, but I felt this was a pretty reasonable price so we scheduled for a site visit just a few days later. Marat came to do the repair and within 1 hour we had a working microwave again! So the moral of my story is that I'll never buy anything from Sharp again, but I will not hesitate to call Urban again for my appliance repair needs :)

Viktor showed up on the early side of the 3-5pm window and shot me a call and text when he was about 20 minutes away. He is super friendly and knowledgeable, as soon as he saw it was KitchenAid he said he was 90% sure it was a common issue but not serious one that he sees often in KA units and sure enough it was! He gave me some great tips on how to maintain the dishwasher as well and also suggested a couple of dishwashers to consider in the future. He then took a look at our fridge and gave me a couple of pointers on maintaining it, but also shared because it's a built-in replacing it will be $10-$15 for a new unit and suggested a couple of refurbish services they can do for much less but also said it's not needed yet. He didn't have the part on hand, so I paid for the part and the service call. He estimated 7-10 business days, but they got it in just 3, so my oven was back up and running in less than a week. After he installed the igniter, we ran a test on all the functions and discovered the convection wasn't working. He pulled the stove out, ran a diagnostic, and showed me that the control board was burnt out and not getting power. Replacing it would run $600, so I chose to hold off since the oven itself works fine and I rarely use the convection feature but I'll definitely be calling them back when I'm ready, because a new range runs about $4K and that's not a conversation I want to have right now. Total cost for the igniter repair was $300. The tech was knowledgeable, efficient, and got the job done without any drama. They have a very tightly organized customer service response, they use the technology well to respond to quote requests and information calls quickly. Then, for a standard fee, they will come and assess the issue, and then that whole fee goes toward paying for the repair if you choose to use them. The person who came out was the owner, Bagy (BAH-gee). He was amazing. Quickly understood the problem, quoted me the cost of parts and repair, ordered the part and came 2 days later and finished the job quickly. Very calm, cool, and direct about everything. Later, a further issue came up (something we both feared might happen) and he came and did another assessment, fixed some programming as part of the visit, gave me really good options and, if the problem persists, I can call him back, he knows what needs to be done and today's consultation fee still applies to the final job! These guys will not play with you. They will figure out the issue, get it fixed, and be done quickly and neatly. They're in my speed dial now.
