He is super friendly and knowledgeable, as soon as he saw it was KitchenAid he said he was 90% sure it was a common issue but not serious one that he sees often in KA units and sure enough it was! He gave me some great tips on how to maintain the dishwasher as well and also suggested a couple of dishwashers to consider in the future. He then took a look at our fridge and gave me a couple of pointers on maintaining it, but also shared because it's a built-in replacing it will be $10-$15 for a new unit and suggested a couple of refurbish services they can do for much less but also said it's not needed yet. Viktor just finished repairing our high end LG Washing machine - drain pump and also "seeding" the interface unit, and it was absolutely stellar. Impeccable cleanliness, neat, orderly. Diagnosed the problem quickly, showed me the faulty (broken) old drain pump, he had new ones in his truck (at all times)! Complete the replacement repair quickly, tested and confirmed, and fixed the UI connector at the same time. If only every repair was this easy and successful and affordable! Oleg came by to see if he could fix my 10 year old GE washing machine. I told him the spin cycle wasn't working unless I reset the machine each time I used it. The spin cycle wasn't as strong either. Oleg lifted the machine and got underneath. He saw transmission fluid leaking immediately. We have a Thermador Professional 6-burner oven. The oven portion stopped working. Viktor identified the problem. The oven is 20 years old and the part needing to be changed is no longer made, but they tracked one down, somewhere. They were able to move the oven forward, which is very heavy, and do the work. My LG washer/dryer combo had been leaking. They sent a young man named Viktor. He was polite and professional and he knew what he was doing. After running diagnostics on the machine, he determined there was nothing technically wrong and that the drain on the gasket was clogged, causing water to come out through the door. Two days ago, for the first time ever, our Kenmore 600, an old but reliable washing machine, left a lot of water on the floor. Yelp suggested two options for repair -- one no longer served our area, the other was Hi-Tech. They had replied by this morning. I called and was able to get a 2-to-4 appointment window. The two-man team showed up at 2:30, after texting me at 2:17. Within half an hour they had opened up the machine and run a number of tests. No sign of any machine leakage at all. The conclusion was that we had washed an extra-large load including a pillow and this drove water over the top. They demonstrated how this could happen and were generally open and helpful. $80 well spent. Will use Hi-Tech again if needed. read more
