    Barbacoa Tacos

Looked up "best Mex in ATX" and this one came up. It's a cool "Mex" vibe in the covered greenhouse type area. (Thats why the pics look kinda funky green!) Lots of fans to keep it cool. Friendly service & great food. Honest & excellent recommendations too! Got Barbacoa tacos, Birria tacos, chips/Queso, COLD Pacifico beer & Watermelon Aqua Fresca... and it was all excellent!

Trust the amazing reviews! We stopped here after reading the great reviews and let me tell you it did not disappoint. Parking: is limited in the restaurant but they have a lot across the street where there are plenty of spaces. Service: fantastic! From the moment we met the hostess the two ladies who greeted us were so nice and welcoming. Aesthetic: super cute! Perfect for a girls happy hour or a date. So colorful and vibrant such a vibe. Food: Delicious! I ordered the green chicken enchiladas and they were full of flavor and perfectly portioned, satisfying without feeling like you can't walk afterwards. We also ordered tacos and they were great. I did not love their grapefruit margarita but their frozen margaritas looked bomb! Strongly recommend de nada!

The food and service here are great!! It can get really busy so it is hard to get seating. Especially hard when you have large parties. The only option was to sit outside and it was pretty uncomfortable. There was a bunch of cars driving really close to us and the fans did not reach our table. Mango marg: This marg was very strong but very refreshing because it was hot outside. I got the frozen one but all I could taste was alcohol. There was like zero hint of mango flavor at all except the color. It honestly tasted like a frozen regular marg. Queso: The queso is great it isn't spicy and it has a very classic flavor. The portion is decent and I like how it came with a small green salsa on the side. Birria tacos: These tacos were amazing!!! There was so much flavor and the meat was soooo good. The consume was really good as well and it was just the perfect blend. It comes with four tacos and I will say they are very small. Still kinda hungry after..

wow! this place definitely lives up to the hype. We came for the day just to come here and the margaritas definitely hit! I tried the mango marg but will say I was very surprised that it was double the price just to add mango?? overall, would go back but boy are they strong!!

The food and drinks here are amazing! We started with the chips and queso, which was packed with flavor. We also got the birria tacos and barbacoa tacos, and both were absolutely delicious! We had the original margaritas, and they were so good, and definitely strong! The service was super friendly, and our server, Madeline, did a great job. It's extremely busy here most of the time, so definitely keep that in mind. The atmosphere is very lively and can get pretty loud, but honestly, that's part of the fun! One thing to note is that there isn't a lot of parking, so plan accordingly. Overall, such a fun spot with great food, drinks, and vibes!

    Crispy Beef Taco (4/10, $6)

Came by on a Friday afternoon around 5 PM, and they were super packed. I biked there so parking wasn't a problem, but cars were parked on the gravel sides out on Cesar Chavez. However, we were still quickly seated at a table, and service was fantastic throughout the stay. Happy Hour M-F, 3:30-6:30 (basically $1 off small drinks) Seasonal Frozen Margs (Strawberry, Mango, 8/10) - SUPER STRONG MARGS!!! We were recommended this place because of the strong drinks, and they did not disappoint. - after ordering both strawberry and mango, we were not able to taste the difference. Both tasted like alcohol haha. Frozen drinks were good in the summer though Crispy Beef Taco (4/10, $6) - literally Taco Bell tacos. Comes with with 2 - not sure if I read the menu wrong, but I thought that the beef would be Crispy. Turns out that it's just the taco shell that's Crispy filled with beef. The filling itself was quite tender and juicy, but would not get this again. - others at the table got the regular soft tacos (verduras), and they said those are really good. Chips/Salsa ($1.5) - comes with three different salsas, which are all quite spicy Overall, a fun and busy spot with great service and good vibes. Drinks are super, super strong yet reasonably priced. Don't get the crispy beef taco unless you're craving Taco Bell.

I can definitely see why De Nada Cantina is so popular, it was absolutely packed with people both inside and outside, and after eating here, I completely understand the hype! We started with the chips and queso, and it was some of the creamiest, most delicious queso I've ever had. It was the perfect way to kick off the meal. We also ordered the Spicy Pineapple frozen drink, which was refreshing with just the right amount of spice. As a fun bonus, it was served in an adorable pineapple shaped glass that made the experience even more memorable. For our meal, we ordered three quesadillas and a taco. Everything came out quickly, was incredibly flavorful, and left us completely satisfied. One of my favorite details was that all of the tortillas were made with blue corn, which added a unique touch and great flavor to every bite. Between the lively atmosphere, excellent food, fun drinks, and fast service, this is definitely a must-visit spot when you're in Austin

Very quaint location. Need to make a reservation We had several items Birria was awesome Watermelon ceviche was incredible The vegetarian tacos were pretty good Service was attentive. Would I go back? Yeah

Consistently good, affordable tacos and strong margaritas! De Nada's pink cup is well known amongst Austinites. My favorite is the shrimp taco followed my the mushroom taco. Dining at the OG location is very different from their new South Austin location. Difficult parking, but usually you can find a spot on the street along the back. The inside is also very natural and not much AC.

    Zachary S.

Come for the margs and stay for delicious food! The carnitas tacos and the shrimp tacos are very tasty and definitely the go to. De Nada can get very busy and there is very limited but the staff still does a great job of taking care of you. Great place on South Congress that is a different feel than the OG on the East side, but certainly worth a visit.

    Poblano Quesadilla, birria

luckily this place was worth the hype! the queso blanco was amazing, the margaritas strong and yummy. the birria was delicious as well, though a small portion (definitely recommend adding the extra birria à la carte). fair warning, the "quesadilla" on the menu is actually an empanada (which is smaller and a completely different food than expected) but it was so yummy i wasn't mad at all! just small portion sizes. our server was sweet and took great care of us, the food runners also didn't mind answering questions we had on dishes. the only not great moment was dessert, the flan was overcooked and the abuelitas avocado chocolate pudding tasted zesty and sour like it was expired. luckily our server took care of it because it wasn't as expected which we appreciated. prices were fair as well!

This place lived up to the hype!!!! Our waitress was so so so kind and quick!! The place is so cool and such a vibe! The restaurant is huge with a large patio as well!! And the food..... was a little nervous when it came out so quick and the prices were cheap but it was AMAZING! Will come back for margs but definitely the food as well!!!

Wowsers! This place is ON POINT!!! We came here with friends who are local and they know their stuff! The service was very good and the food was even better. Special call outs for me on the queso, which is one of the best I've ever eaten, and the Spicy Pineapple Margarita. The restaurant was lively (we ate inside) but not too loud, as they have several separate eating areas and that helps keep the noise down a bit, which is great! You can still enjoy chatting with friends but it's not shouting level loud. All of the items I had were gluten free, and that is amazing. The blue corn tortilla was phenomenal. Highly recommend this spot and I advised my friends that every time we visit now, we must come here on our way back to the airport! A new ritual!

Inside by the restaurant - they have outside seating too but it was a rainy night

THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here to catch up with a buddy that enjoys wine as much as I do. Starting off, we got a glass of Aubry brut 1er cru glass. Nice, acidic, and bubbly. What I expect out of champagne. We got a philippe jouan (aka pinot noir) bottle which was so delicious. For food, we got the baguette and a egg confit dish that was divine. Then wrapping up, we got a single glass of produttori del barbaresco and capellano barolo. These were super old wines from the 80s and boy were they screaming tertiary notes. Awesome experience. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, we spent around $270 for a bottle of pinot noir, two glasses of really old wine and a sneak peek bite of their tasting menu. Will be back to try more wines and food.

The restaurant is small, but has a ton of character! I highly recommend getting a reservation. We started off with kanpachi crudo which had a delicous ponzu sauce and some extra sweetness from the melon balls! We then had the Vichyssoise, which I would say was my favorite bite of the evening! The Scarlett crab was soo good and added the perfect amount of saltiness and sweetness to the comforting soup! For our mains, we got the duck which had a delicious hoisin sauce. While I enjoyed the bok choy I felt it could have a better accompaniment. We also got the salmon which had a smaller portion, but was unique in its taste and execution. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot, but do be aware that the menu is small when ordering ala carte but each item is executed thoroughly well!

I ended up waiting a little over 1.5 hrs after checking in with the hostess and we were able to snag the very last plate of paella! I've had my fair share of paella and I'm in no way a paella snob, but this one missed the mark for me. 1) the portion did not reflect the $34 price tag. 2) portions of the rice were undercooked and very hard. 3) it was way too salty. It did come with a mix of mussels, clams, shrimp, and sausage, with a side of toast, but I can't justify this part of the experience. We also ordered calamari and croquetas. The croqueta was delicious and flavorful, but the calamari didn't stand out. It tastes like any other calamari. The ambiance itself is cute and the service was great, but the food was lacking.
