Great and friendly service. The weather was nice, so we decided to sit in the patio. Luckily there wasn't a long line when we arrived. We ordered lattes, pastries, omelet, and breakfast sandwich at the counter. There's a section for you grab the condiments by the counter. The lattes and hot food are brought to the table when they are ready. Everything was delicious, but pastries were exceptional. There's plenty of parking available and a perfect place to enjoy brunch before the long drive. I definitely recommend this place! Pro tips: check out their menu online to decide what you wanted before you get there so you can take time to decide on the pastries.

All of the staff went above and beyond to be super friendly and inviting. It felt like my husband and I were regulars the way the wait staff treated us. You could tell they treat every customer as if they're the only person in the winery, despite it being full. Every question we had was met with patience as they guided us on the best food and wine pairing. They also are super accommodating to pets, and were able to enjoy a nice meal with our pup. The food was all fresh and delicious. Everything tasted like it was made from the heart. My husband got the angel hair pasta with chicken, a favorite of his, and it did not disappoint! I got the brown butter sage gnocchi, made with fresh sage from their garden. We also enjoyed the meze board. My husband who does not like falafel was fighting with me for the last piece. For dessert I ate the rosemary shortbread with lemon curd. Just like with the sage the rosemary was also freshly picked from their garden. The shortbread was not too dry but also the perfect ratio of crispy on the outside and slightly moist on the inside - the exact way shortbread should be baked. I normally am picky with lemon desserts, but their lemon curd was also perfect - not too sweet and not too sour while still maintaining that fresh flavor. My biggest regret of our visit is not booking a room at their inn. We spent a couple of hours here and immediately felt right at home. I hope to come back one day for the full inn experience.

I always opt to sit outside where I can basque in the mountain sunshine while taking in the scenery. There's always a cat or two traipsing about the establishment that offers entertainment to my pooch. (Yes, they're dog-friendly!) The food is absolutely divine with I believe most of the items being made in house & all ingredients are locally sourced with the freshest ingredients. Idle Hour is a stop you definitely want to make whether passing through on your way to Yosemite or if you're a local, make no mistake and try this place out!

We had a large group with multiple dogs, so we sat out on the deck nearby, and the staff still went above and beyond bringing out our takeout food and helping us with drinks. The food was so good. We ordered the fish and chips, Bomb Burger (both delicious), the salmon protein bowl, chicken tenders, and a Philly cheesesteak. Everything hit. Our teenage girls were able to sit at their own table inside the restaurant, and they were treated so kindly, which I really appreciated. We were in Yosemite celebrating my niece's 18th birthday, and this was our first meal of the trip. It ended up being such a perfect, memorable start. The location is beautiful, right on the resort in a quieter part of the lake, and the weather made it even better. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

My dad had eaten here 2 years ago when he camped in the Wishon area with my sister and her family. In fact, he mentioned that to our server (I believe her name was Maya or Mara) and she shrugged it off nonchalantly. She couldn't have cared less that he'd had such a good experience that he wanted to return with us. It was almost as though she preferred us not being there as it was kind of how the rest of our interactions went during our meal, which was unfortunate because I really wanted to like this place. My parents split a Reuben sandwich with their delicious apple & walnut salad. I got to taste the salad, and wish I had ordered it with chicken or salmon, but I was craving something more filling to last me most of the drive back to Los Angeles. I opted for their cheeseburger and potato spirals. I requested Swiss on my burger, but wished afterwards that I had requested it with their smoked blue cheese as my burger lacked a bit of flavor and juiciness; despite asking for it to be cooked medium, it was quite dry. My daughter had their fish n chips from the kids menu but opted for broccoli instead of potatoes (she loves broccoli and I wanted help with my potatoes anyway). The breading on the fish was very crunchy, and my daughter complained that it hurt her teeth a bit. Our server never once came to check on us to see how our meal was nor to ask if we needed refills on our drinks or anything else. In fact, when she did return it was only to set the bill on the table without saying a word and run off to check on the couple at the next table. Literally a drive-by dropoff of the check, haha. And less than 20 seconds later she turns around and motions to pick up the little folder with the check in it and asks us "Is there anything in here yet?" I must've had some look on my face because she set it back down and immediately says, "No rush." Like, come on! You LITERALLY just set it on our table. I was quite annoyed - like did you think we were going to dine and dash? My mom was too intimidated to ask for a refill on her Arnold palmer to go. I still had lemonade in my cup so I did ask for a plastic cup to take the rest of it to-go as I didn't wish to hang out there much longer. Anyway, I hate to give bad reviews, but after such an amazing time in Yosemite, this one just stunk up the end of the trip. Some tips: circle around the buildings in the front where the market and self-serve gas are. Plenty of parking. Views of the lake are nice. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, two floors with restrooms on both floors- the lower level seems to be reserved for dinner hours and maybe even small parties/events. Hopefully you have better luck than us in terms of service.

Their menu stated breakfast is served till 11am. We were told they stopped breakfast at 1040am today. I ordered the fish and chips with fried zucchini. The fried fish was coated in a crunchy beer batter. Fish was tender and moist except for some overcooked parts. Flavor was mostly of beer batter with a mild cod flavor. Good dish. Better than the frozen fish sticks from the supermarket. Fried zucchini was shaped like french fries. Batter was crunchy. I could barely taste the zucchini as there seemed to be more batter than zucchini. I prefer bigger pieces of zucchini and less batter. Ok dish. Fanta Pineapple soda was sweet and full of pineapple flavor. Very good. Server/Cashier was very nice and brought out our meals quickly.
