We first discovered the Wild Fig from a couple LA living in Oakhurst and returned multiple times usually on our way to Yosemite. We drove from Madera and Clovis for brunch at Wild Fig Kitchen. Service is awesome, great menu, and hospitality. They serve unique mimosas flavors and fresh baked goods. The owner Mark and staff are kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this place!

I thought the chicken and waffles were very well presented but I didn't like the taste.

The carnitas breakfast burrito was awesome! I tried the waffles and chicken, the French toast. I didn't like the taste of the waffle but everything else was really good.

The Cubano with fries. Meaty fries and clean tasting sandwich.

Be prepared: Check out the menu on the right and have your selection(s) ready, then you'll approach the register to place your order, followed by selecting your table. Be mindful, if you need the exterior restroom access, you'll need the door code. Great customer service right out the gate. We placed our order and were interested in coffee that they serve from Mariposa Roasting Co. but totally forgot before we left. I ordered a delicious "pot pie" style Biscuits and Chicken Gravy. The leeks REALLY made this dish special for me. My wife ordered a Cubano with fries. The Cubano was very clean and good. The fries were very meaty. Definitely worth visiting again!

I went to this place on my way to Yosemite, the place is running by kind people. I got there 5 minutes after they closed, and they took our orders with their great burgers. I recommend this place and the area for shopping.

The tomato eggs Benedict was really good. I loved the sauce. Might be the best I've ever had. It took a minute to get the food but they were busy and everything was from scratch including my wife's biscuits and gravy. The service was divine. Bailey was attentive and helpful. Make sure to ask for her to be your server and tip liberally to help her finance her college education. We sat outside under green umbrellas and enjoyed the breeze. We will be back.

This place is seriously phenomenal. I've gone three times this summer from Fresno and it's worth it every time. it is so refreshing to eat at a place that truly cares about what they're serving. The food they serve is high-quality, healthy, and farm to table. There's hardly anything like this in the valley. I so appreciate the quality of ingredients and the effort that they put into the food. It doesn't go unnoticed. Yesterday I tried the grilled veggie sandwich and it was soooooo amazing. I'm already craving it again today. Service is great. They're always checking on you. The ambience is a little small but very clean and pleasant in the little village area. If there's a wait for food, you can explore the little shops on the weekends. If you're looking for a place to fuel up before any activities in the mountains this is the place to do it. And you'll leave feeling great too.

Ahhh the wild fig. I always stop there when I'm in the area. Great American breakfast with a fun twist. I much preferred the old table service over the current counter buy and sit model, but turnover on staff makes that hard to do. Take a minute and dig through the menu. There are lots of good choices. I always get the same scrambles so I'm not much help. (They definitely need to put batteries in the fans late summer though.)

Way better than expected. Great service and the food reminds me of old time diners where it's made from scratch, an experience I've been missing

We always have to grab a meal at Wild Fig Kitchen when we are in the area. This time we had brunch and once again they did not disappoint! I had the French toast with a side of bacon and my hubby had his favorite the sweet potato hash. As always the staff were all so friendly and attentive. The ambiance is great and I loved the holiday decor.

Really cute and nice place!! I really liked their chicken sandwich. Eveyone who worked there was very friendly and knowledgeable. They even gave me and my girlfriend some ideas about places to hike nearby and views to see!!

Restrooms are best avoided. There is a game parlor inside, the sofa in there looks ripped as it had a tape all through the center. ***Food: come here only for this! The owner was kind and promised me a pizza in 12 minutes as we were hungry. And per his promise in exactly 12 minutes, he handed a large hot pizza box. The veggies were fresh, the cheese was real, the crust was crisp. The pie could have benefited with some heat on top to toast up the cheese a bit. This is by no means a gourmet pizza but for this remote location, this was more than we could ask for.

I went to their website, placed an order, and paid online. Shortly after, I received a text saying DoorDash would be delivering my order. Then I got a call from the DoorDash driver saying they had arrived at the restaurant, but the restaurant was claiming they didn't have a website and didn't have my order. The charge on my credit card showed the business name, so the whole situation was extremely confusing. I ended up having to cancel the charge with my credit card company, and since we had a large group with limited options, we had to go inside and place an order directly. Walking in, the place had a very strange vibe. It almost felt like a restaurant that was not fully set up or had recently changed ownership. It was very bare, there were no napkins in the holders, and the arcade area was completely empty except for a couch. The whole atmosphere felt off. Unfortunately, the pizza itself was not good either. I'm not sure what happened with this place, whether it recently changed hands or something else, but based on our experience, I would recommend staying away.

This visit was probably the best and worst experience I've had here at the same time. We walked in just before closing without realizing how late it was. The customer who came in right after us was immediately told they couldn't order because the restaurant was closed, which is completely understandable. However, the way it was communicated came across as very rude and abrupt. A simple "I'm sorry, we're closed" would have gone a long way. After that the vibe in the whole place changed even behind the counter. After placing our order, I specifically requested some burgers plain, some without lettuce, and also asked for ranch with our fries. When our food came out, the burgers were made incorrectly and the ranch was missing. I went back to the counter and was told by the same employee that she couldn't give me ranch because her register was already closed and she would have to charge me for it. The cashier who originally took my order apologized and said she thought she had added it to the receipt. I explained that I had requested it when ordering (I had even left a tip) When I asked if I could still get the ranch, I was told no and the employee walked away. Thankfully, the manager came up to my table and provided the ranch, allegedly anyway she was wearing normal clothes no uniform. She also had the incorrectly made burgers remade and personally brought them to our table, apologizing again for the inconvenience. The manager completely turned the experience around and was the reason the visit ended on a positive note. Unfortunately, one employee's attitude left a lasting impression. Customer service isn't always easy, but friendliness and professionalism make a huge difference, especially when handling simple requests. (The blonde, shaved head lady) I'm grateful the manager stepped in and made things right. However, after this experience, I'll probably think twice before making this my late-night go-to spot again.

On the first occasion, I ordered a grilled cheese (pictured) and a small hot fudge shake. I'd been craving a hot fudge sundae for weeks, but was driving with a broken arm, so the shake seemed like the perfect solution. The hot fudge shake was pretty good. It tasted like mostly vanilla ice cream with a lot of hot fudge in it, topped with (what tasted like) real whipped cream and a cherry. The grilled cheese sandwich was such an atrocity. I did eat the whole thing, but it didn't taste very good. It tasted like government cheese on whole wheat bread melted inside of the aluminum and parchment paper it was delivered in. The next time I came back, I only ordered a medium hot fudge shake. This time was a weird experience. The line wasn't very long, but it took forever to get through. At first, I assumed that someone ahead of me had ordered a huge order. When I got to the window, waiting to pay for just a shake, I sat there for several minutes before I was greeted or acknowledged at all. When the cashier finally got to the window, I gave him my card. My phone alerted me to the fact that I was charged within seconds, but it was still several more minutes before my card was returned to me, along with a shake with a cherry that had sunken all the way to the bottom. At first, I wondered what had happened to the cherry. Why could I see grenadine, but not find a cherry? Had the cashier placed the cherry on top of the whipped cream, and then removed it? The mystery of the cherry was not solved until I got to the very bottom of the shake. To make matters worse, there was no hot fudge. I'm not sure if the cashier forgot the hot fudge, since he was clearly doing all of the jobs in the restaurant by himself without any other staff, or if he was out of hot fudge, and just decided not to tell me. But, having worked so many years in retail and restaurants myself, it seemed very clear to me that the cashier was actually the only person at work at Sonic. He was running it all alone. The reason he wasn't able to give me my card back right away was because he was busy taking other people's orders, putting fries down, getting together everything he could ahead of time, and generally doing four full time fast food jobs by himself. He was definitely working very hard and trying to take care of everything without any help, but he needed more help. This experience sucked due to understaffing on the part of Sonic. If the employee happens to read this, I think he should consider getting a job somewhere that treats him better. (Speaking from experience as someone who has a permanent arm injury from taking on too much restaurant work without enough help.) But when Sonic's hot fudge shakes are made right and don't come with a twenty minute wait, they're pretty good.
