We arrived for dinner around 5:30 after calling and confirming that they would be able to make a meal to accommodate for our daughter's allergies (she is allergic to wheat, dairy, egg, and nuts). They were very helpful and accommodating when trying to figure out a meal for her ( we ended up just getting some shredded chicken and rice for her which was great!) we were seated immediately which was great. It did appear the closer to 6 it got the more time it would take to get seated, there was a line when we were leaving! Sadly, chips are not complimentary here. You have to pay $4 for them which is a bit of a bummer. What I will say is that the chips are delicious and worth it- they weee fresh and truly tasted so good. I opted to get the enchiladas de salsa roja with chicken as my protein and my husband ordered the bistec ranchero. Both meals were delicious. The service was also very friendly. I would definitely recommend checking out Plazuelas while in Oakhurst if looking for delicious Mexican food!

They have a pretty wide menu and we got the pollo supreme burrito which comes with rice, beans, onions, sour cream, and cheese. The chicken is a chipotle chicken that is tender and flavorful. They toast the tortilla which gives it some depth of flavor. We got it spicy which gives it some but not a lot of heat. Overall, a great spot to get some food on a long ride between NorCal and SoCal.
